Where do I find the clear plastic holder for you pass that hangs from a lanyard from around your neck? and what are they called? Thanks for any help

I don't know what they are called but if you are looking to buy one outside of disney they have them at walmart in the section were the wallets are.

This is the one from WalMart. It only costs 97 cents.

I've seen some people wearing these but never understood the attraction. Once you've used you ticket to get in the park there is no need to have it instantly available. I've never had a problem with keeping my ticket along with my money/credit cards in my pocket.

I don't carry things in my pockets, so it's into the backpack. We used our room key/ticket/room charge constanty when we went and I was always having to undo my pack, get my wallet out, fish it out... Blech, never again. I'm going to wear the thing around my neck next year.

So, yeah, if you're using your ticket as a charge card, it's nice to have it available.

Great idea!!! Thanks for the info and pic of the Walmart holder. I'm going to pick one up this week. I actually lost my pass during my last trip to Disney :confused3 and hope this helps prevent that from ever happening again.

Thanks everyone!! last time my pass was in a fanny pack or pocket and got demagnetized by cell phone. What a pain that was at the gates of the park.

Well, there are several reasons to use the neck lanyard:

1. Keeps your ticket more readily available than in your wallet, purse, or fanny pack.

2. Keeps the pass away from other objects like cell phones or other cards which might demagnetize it.

3. Keeps the pass dry and flat - ever get your wallet wet from sitting on a wet ride, or have a card get crinkled from being in your wallet or fanny pack?

4. Provides an additional, convenient, safe place to keep FastPass slips.

In case you don't find (or like) the ones at Walmart, look at the bottom of this ebay listing. (ALL THE WAY AT THE BOTTOM). I bought mine from here. And later bought some more of just the Vertical plastic holder. I liked the vertical one best - felt more like the badge I wear daily!

I looked at two office supply stores and one other store and could not find ones with this quality. Large enough and double closure. I also bought the lanyard (string around the neck) but it the narrow kind - no room for pins if you decide to get into that -- lots of places sell those. I wasn't buying pins so both the lanyard and holder worked great for me. Good luck though!

Wearing a lanyard was one of the best ideas I got here on the boards. Easy to whip out the card if you are on Disney Dining, fastpass holder (I kept checking to see when I was to go back to the ride) and I didn't have to keep digging in my fanny pack!

These are all excellent reasons. I would add a 3a and 5.

3a. The clear-sided lanyards allow you to peak through at your tickets - A handy feature for people like me who live in fear of misplacing them.

5. You can store your park maps there and other planning paperwork.

I turn the clear side towards me to keep everyone from having to look at my tickets.

We never used the ID holder in our many trips. Then when we went to the EE preview weekend and got the free EE lanyards, we loved the convenience of it. Our passes (for fp), room key and our DDE card were right there for quick access. I was really surprised my DH liked it and I asked him if he was going to use his on our next trip and he said of course!
