what if I have an ADR for 5 people,, and only 3 can make it? We are going with family, who are staying at a differnet hotel. And I wonder if it would be better to have separate reservations at same time, or just reduce party size if they don't show?? I dont want to lose my adr if they decide to not go after it is too late to re-book.

As long as it's not a prepaid place it doesn't matter, we've had that happen many times!

Cool. I didn't realize this and was going to have to go commando on our resizes with everyone because of this concern. We have the same thing - reservations for 13 but not sure that everyone will be able to make it. Are you SURE that we won't be charged $10 for each person that doesn't show up at the restaurant?

As long as the reservation wasn't prepaid, absolutely. they will charge $10 a person only if the entire party doesn't show up. Of course there will be other concerns with going from a party of 13 to say a party of 3 - which will require an entirely different table size.
