So when we made our ADRs (online) for our party of 9, I think all the confirmation pages had a note that said our party might be seated at separate tables. Does anyone know if there are restaurants we could sit together? Do some places try to accommodate larger parties while others don't? What has been your experience with larger parties? Thanks!

Don't worry that is on all ressies. Even those who are only a party of 2.

It is WDW's way of covering their bases.

If you schedule your ressie for 9 people you will be sat together. There is less than a 1% chance of being seperated.

So go ahead and book....oh Sci-Fi may be the only exception as with the cars you would have to be seperated but you probably knew that.

Have a good trip!!

We were also not seated together at Coral Reef and Crystal Palace, in addition to Sci Fi. Most places do their best to accommodate.

When I traveled with a large group (11) back in 2007, we were only separated at Coral Reef (we had the booth as well as the table right in front of it) and Liberty Tree Tavern (large round table and a small table right next to it).

They sat us together at: Garden Grill, Crystal Palace, and 50's Prime Time Cafe.

When we were a party of 13 they split us at different tables at almost every meal. But 13 is a lot different than 9! However, the tables were always immediately next to each other so it was not a big deal at all! We are going with 8 in Sept. I'm really hoping we will not have to be split this time. Before there were basically 6 family units (kids, grandkids, great-grandkids etc) so we would mix and match LOL, but this time it's our family, my parents and grandparents and they are going to enjoy the time with us and our children, so hoping we don't have to be split.

With a large group it's going to depend entirely on what size tables are available when you check in. Some do not have tables for 9 (like Teppan Edo and Biergarten, although they may squeeze in an extra small child) and others may be able to get you in quicker seating you at two tables. The restaurant will do their best to seat you at one table and if they can't, to select tables that are next to or near each other.

I remember a group of about 15 at San Angel being given back to back tables and some woman in that group demanded that a manager move me so they could have my table, which she thought was closer. The manager refused (I give him credit for that).

We had a party of 12 3 years ago. crystal palace 1 table
Crt 1 table
1900 park Fare 1 table
chef mickeys 1 table
H&V 2 tables right next to each other
coral reef 2 tables right next to each other
LEcellier 1 table
OHana1 table
grand gatherings were great 1 table
narcoossees 2 table right by each other
we never even had to mention it always sat by each other. Our reservations were made all together under grand gathering . NO worries

We have a party of 9. I spoke with Disney Dining a couple of days ago and was told that CRT only has tables for 6 max. Also, grand gatherings only does the ressies for the grand gathering meals, regular Disney dining does all other ressies now.

We have a party of 10 going in May and I was wondering the same thing. I'm glad I looked and found this thread before I made another seperate thread. We have ADR's at La Hacienda, Crystal Palace, Hoop Dee Doo, OHana, Akershus, Biergarten, Cape May, Mama Melrose, Tusker House, and Les Chef's.

We had one meal as a party of 9 at Boma and we had one long table together. It was very nice. At Boma, they do have big tables so I don't think you would have a problem there.

I've gone as a party of 9 several times and so far we've never gotten split up.
Hope our luck continues when we're a party of 10 in February 2012!
