Party of 3 on the DDP - April 2012 *Updated 5/15: CHH and Final Thoughts*

I think it's a good place to experience once. If DD wants to go back at some point I might just do apps.

I definitely agree. I loved Coral Reef a few years ago but it has recently fallen out of favor with me for many of the same reasons, especially the menu. The only reason I still go from time to time is if I am traveling with someone who's never been just so they can experience the atmosphere. Usually I order a salad or the appetizer sampler and that's all I want there anymore! Not even in love with the Chocolate Wave as I once was.

Thanks for your reviews though, I really enjoyed all the pics and your thoughts!

I am drooling over these two dishes...shrimp and cheesecake, two of my favorite things! They look and sound heavenly. I need to add Citricos to my wish list!

Great reviews! I feel the same way about the Dining Plan, it can be a good value depending on how you use it. This past trip we came out just ahead, I don't remember the numbers but I calculated it for just DH and I (there were 7 of us on the trip). We had done the SOA Luau that was 2 credits, I think if we had done actual a la carte meals for those 2 credits, we would have come further ahead.

We went to Coral Reef on our last 2 trips and we did really enjoy it, although I will say, personally, I liked the food better in 2010 than in 2011 (I had the same meal, too-the seared chicken). We did have a great table, though this last time, 2nd row by the fish tanks, although way at the end like you were.
