Considering going to the Food & Wine "Party for the Senses" but wondering if others who went could give some more details.

The lowest priced category doesn't include guaranteed table seating, but do you actually need seating? I'm imagining all these "stations" as basically tables that you go from one to another trying a sample of all these luscious foods. Do you really need/want a table to sit at?

Is this food significantly different from what they're offering outside during the festival?

You need a table to set down your small plate while you eat your samples. There's lots of tables to use, and yes, the idea is that you walk from place to place...but that said, people "claim" the tables. They will plant themselves at one and not allow anyone outside their party to sit there. Some will even guard the standing tables. It's much more pleasant to have a reserved seat...so those sell out very quickly. One year some men actually came to blows over a chair.

it is not the same food served at the kiosks. the event has different chefs and beverage purveyors and different foods/beverages each week.

Thank you!

So the food is such that you need the table? Like you need to be able to cut it up or something? We haven't been to the F&W but we just went to the Food & Garden Festival in May and we just got our food in our little cardboard box plate and walked around eating it. Just trying to decide if we really should pay the $40 extra for the table.....since it will be myself (who doesn't drink) and two 18 year olds (who can't drink) the 2 higher categories include cocktails that are "wasted" on us, so for us it's really just for the table. That's an extra $120 so I am conflicted.

I'm confused by your comment: the event has different chefs and beverage purveyors and different foods/beverages each week. This particular event is only on October 25...so it's not a weekly event?

Thanks again for helping this total newbie!

There are PFTS on Oct 4, 11, 18, 25 and Nov 1, but Disney is describing the Oct 25 Party as specifically featuring Chefs from around the world. Typically the PFTS features a mix of chefs and companies that have appeared at seminars, etc during the week and some Disney chefs, but it sounds like the Oct 25th party is exclusively Disney chefs.
