I am looking for ideas for a girl gymnastic/cheer party.. what would be a good party gift..

What about a megaphone? Is the party at your house? If so you could always decorate them and then send them home...

We made batons once, I don't remember exactly how but we used fish tank piping, furniture feet caps, water, corn syrup and glitter. It was easy and I'm sure there's a recipe online.

Pom Poms, we also made these once....but again it's been so long I can't remember how.....LOL wow, I'm just so helpful aren't I? LOL

I know you wanted to themed, but I do have a great budget idea. MY DD is 7 at the end of the month and I have always done a big pencil case of school supplies, with some candy of course. I look at the school's supply list and I get them all of their necessary supplies and it is CHEAP, between Wal-Mart and Staples, it is cheap. All the moms love me!

Grip Bags - You can make them at a low cost or purchase them. Then allow the girls to decorate them if you like by signing the bags, etc.

You can put lots of stuff in it that will be great for either gymnastics or cheer also such as glitter hair spray, tape (to keep leos in place), pins, key rings, water bottles, chalk, hair pins, etc.

I had a friend that gave out t-shirts with their names on the back (very generic), but the kids LOVED them.

I was thinking something similar - I've done draw-string bags (and tote bags and t-shirts) for DD's parties where the girls decorate with fabric markers
Could fill with fun items like scrunchies; hair clips; water bottles; hair spray; gymnastics or cheer themed memo pads, pencils, stickers, scrap book pages (not sure of the ages).
