How will party days impact my touring? Planning trip for 9/8/16-9/14/16. After looking at crowd calendars I was planning on our MK days for Sun the 11th and Tues the 13th. I now realize these are both party days. We will not be attending the party. Is the only downside missing the evening entertainment? I am new to this.

Generally most people will choose to visit the MK on days with longer hours and night entertainment. That usually makes the non-party days lower crowd days.

9/10 is a Saturday and 9/12 is a Monday. Those two dates don't have parties..just making sure you're not confusing dates and you thinking there's parties on those days!
We did a day at MK last year on a Night Of Joy party night and yeah, the only downside was missing nighttime stuff. Early in the day, right after rope drop until around 1-2, it was pretty much empty and we got so much done. I think it was because a lot of people don't like to "waste" a day ticket when they are kicked out early.

Non-party MK days are usually crowded. Party days are hit or miss - sometimes they're packed and sometimes people avoid the crowds altogether. We've experienced both. As for party days - you'll miss the fireworks, MSEP, and you'll be escorted out at 7:00 if still in the parks.

Sorry i typed the wrong dates. I corrected my post to the 11th an 13th. Guess this goes to show I really do need caffeine to get my Mondays started.

I was confused about night of joy as well. I had never heard of it before and will occur during our trip. Searching past posts didnt show alot of results. I see that the concert isn't even at MK which made be think it would be busier during the day because people would visit the parks first before heading out. I will be traveling with two kids who will be 4 and 1 when we visit. I would rather have it less busy during the day as I doubt they could stay awake for the evening entertainment anyway.
