Parts of Florida to Get 2 to 4 Inches of Snow

I don't want to have to handle snow. That is why I live in FL.

Me either..I did 40 some years of snow. It was fun for a while, but once it got so that a major blizzard didn't involve a day off from work it was time for me to get out. ;) It used to be that the governor declaring a state of emergency and telling people to stay off the roads would result in companies closing and their employees getting a day off. That was no longer the case with my company and many others. And we're not talking about health care or other truly essential jobs either. To me, a blizzard should mean curling up under a quilt and reading a good book! :)

No matter how hot it gets here, I don't have to shovel it or scrape it off my car.

I was born in Iowa and lived the majority of my life in Missouri. I know how to handle snow. I just don't want to do it anymore. That is one of the reasons I moved to Florida. This winter has been different the the winters I've experienced since moving to Florida almost six years ago. I don't like it. My ideal winter is 50s overnight and 70s during the day.

That being said, maybe the weather service will be wrong and Florida will only get rain. It was supposed to be pouring by now in the Orlando area. So far, we've only had sprinkles.

I live in SFL and may just need to pack up the kids and head a few hours north so they can see snow. A day or so in it will be fun. A full winter in the snow, no thanx. I grew up in the north and dn't think I woudl last a whole winter.
