Partial Cancellation TG Week

Someone out there on a waiting list for a 2 BR at OKW for 11/26 & 11/27 should be getting some good news soon. My mom is not recovering from her surgery as quickly as we hoped so we are cancelling part of our trip TG week to spend with her in Bradenton. She is so heart-broken (me too!) but I vowed to try to get her to WDW someway, somehow in the future. DH, DS and I are in a 2 BR at BWV for 11/23, 24, & 25. Trying to get a studio or 1 BR anyway since we don't need the space, but no luck. All this planning for 10 months to rearrange everything this morning, including our flights. I really don't want to go at all but DH won me over by suggesting we cut our trip short to spend time with my mom in the nursing home at the end of our trip. My heart just is not in it right now but perhaps that will change.

I'm sorry to hear about your mom. For similar reasons as yours, we are taking my mom with us this year. I hope everything starts to look up for you and your family.

I happen to be on the waitlist for Nov. 27, 2 bedroom at OKW. Called them after reading this and nothing available. Thanks for reporting the cancellation.

Thank you for the sweet thoughts regarding my mother. Please post if your waitlist comes through for the for OKW. Somehow, knowing my cancellation hepled someone else makes the sting of cancelling brun less.
