Hello All:wave2:

I hope this is the place to post this information.
Some of my family members and I will be going to WDW from Dec 12 to the 19th and we are so excited!!

My 2 grand daughters do not know we are going yet and we haven't figured out when we will tell them yet.

Who is going:
Me- Mom and lover of all things Disney!
DS 35, also loves Disney
DDL 32 Fits right in on the Disney love train!
DGS 17 2nd trip to Disney and he loves it to!
DGD 14 also 2nd trip and doesn't know she is going again!
DGD 8 Her first time and doesn't know she is going and
DD 23 She has been many times and just the other day called to say she could join us!:cheer2: She is in the military and didn't know if she could go or not.
And last but not least is DDL Parents, They have been a few times but many years ago.
We are staying at CBR our fav and most of us will fly, Parents in law will drive.
So thats who is going and I love planning all there is to do and see, our first Christmas trip and so much to do.:goodvibes

Welcome! It sounds like you will have a great group with which you will make some magical memories!

So here's what is left on my To Do list (besides finalizing Plan A or Plan B):

1. Prepare Pin Package - This will "arrive" for DS and DFIL before our trip. Right now I'm waiting on that book.
2. Make Ornaments for the Tree
3. Cut Cardstock for Autographs
4. Order Photopass CD
5. Make Cards for "12 Days of Christmas"
6. Wrap Presents
7. Print Holiday Passport for Epcot
8. Order Christmas Tree(s) and Air Bed (to be shipped to resort)
9. Print CM Thank You Cards and Mousekeeping Envelopes
10. Buy/make Room Decorations (garland, door signs, banners)
11. Pack - I keep a box with specifically Disney stuff like ponchos and ear hats. And I'll start putting summer clothes in there as we stop using them.

Our lists are very similar...but I've already put that "box of Disney stuff in my suitcase along with my undergarments ;) I bought dh some new "hug your arches" socks and packed those too. I've printed and taped up my Mousekeeping envelopes but haven't stuffed them yet ;) I have the things I need to order planned out over the next month (got stuff in my shopping carts already).....I need to make my ornaments, buy wreaths, and make my tie-dye MM shirts......and I need to buy ponchos! That's a must do....hope I don't forget those!

Are you putting a wreath on your resort door? I was going to but have a little bit of a concern over someone stealing it off the door.....no one would do that, would they? :confused3 I already my my wreath door-hanger packed.

I'm curious to know what type of ornaments you're making and what your making them out of? I'm planning on making a Mickey head for our Christmas tree topper out of 2 hollow foam half spheres.

I've yet to find the perfect tree topper. My tree will only be 3' so conventional tree-toppers will be too big, I think. I was thinking I could use my Minnie-santa hat but I plan on wearing that on our MVMCP night. I bought some styrofoam balls of differing sizes and am going to try and do something clever with them. I also plan on buying 2 sizes of plastic round ornaments and making "Mickey heads" out of them. Or I could just buy them already made at the disney store ;) I have some princess cutouts I could put on the tree but I don't think that's the look I'm going for. I always buy at least one Hallmark Disney ornament every year but I'll leave those at home for my tree here.

Wow you guys are so organised with your detailed lists of what you have to get done.

My list looks like this:

Stare at my Disney schedule
Scramble through closet and see what I want to pack
Freak out because I don't have the right clothes
Go shopping
Clean house (don't want the house-sitter talking about me :p)
Make sure our little zoo has enough food etc whilst we're gone
Pack in a haphazard but Arwen-organised way
Leave for somewhere in Florida for a stay over - can't for the life of me remember what or where I booked .... good job I have the details printed out :thumbsup2
Get to Disney at some point

Now, upon reading that you are probably all  omg how does she get through the day. I don't know. I just do :teeth: I work better without a plan.

What is this Wishes FP? I know not of this thing. :confused3

It's the Tomorrowland Terrace Dessert Party. You get special seating on the terrace to view the wishes fireworks.

Nice to meet you both!!

ses1230: I hope you get BLT! Sounds like you have a great trip planned out. Your girls are adorable!

bellaally: A christmas baby! I actually always thought I would never want to be born on Christmas. Mostly from the presents aspect. Is it all that bad? I guess if you got a Disney trip out of it, it can't be. You guys are going to have a great first trip. Imagine going in there without a plan on your first trip?

The presents aspect was never bad I always had plenty seriously, it makes Christmas extra special for me. The only thing that was hard was never being able to have a birthday party on my birthday for friends and stuff but my use to do it a week before my birthday. I can even imagine not havin DIS and all you helpful people. I really thought Disney was another theme park like universal, I know don't throw stones. .....

Sounds like two great birthday trips!!!! Do either of you have any special birthday fun planned??

Yes I have a sleigh ride planned for us. I know I am getting a cake, how does he preorder stuff and not think I don't see the cost on our account lol, I love him so much, the surprises I am gifting him I have the Richard petty experience, I also have cirque de solei and a couples message at GF. Since we never had a real honeymoon and we leave our kids in good hands we are gonna enjoy.

so, I thought the trip was all planned out, ....until I read somewhere on the boards(cant for the life of me seem to find it again) that the US gymnastic team would be at CSR the 27th....has anyone else seen this?...If I find it, I may be adding yet another day to the passes but a separate night(dont want to loose my FD)....also, my DS has a request....we are staying at POP this trip and know that there isnt a fitness room(not that I look for it on vacation-there is enough walking involved) Is there an area that they are able to run, maybe a trail....would it be ok if he were to run around the resort and over to AOA or take a bus to POR....he is so worried about keeping in shape for sports when we return.....ya, not sure where that came from:confused3, he is very driven and determined....we had to plan our vaca around practices and meets so he wouldnt lose his varsity spot.....gotta love kids......me, I just keep counting the days til I get the cupcakes!

Hello, I will be in pop too and was looking for this information. I found a jogging path it's called memory lane here is a map you can see its the dotted line.

Ha! Good idea...

- a pearl from Japan in Epcot for sure.
- a shirt of some sort
- a MVMCP pin
- an AoA pin (if I see a cute one)
- a xmas ornament (for my mom)

I think that might be all. I don't tend to buy much (aside from food!) when I'm at WDW. I know my partner will be trading vinylmations and maybe buying a few, and probably getting a stuffed animal of some sort.

True!

You guys are so chatty that I can't keep up! Valgoof asked about souvenirs, but I can't find the original post.

New Mickey ears for each of us, definitely!
DD is getting the SB costume & accessories at BBB for her birthday
A new ornament for each of us
Pick a pearl (darn you all!), but it does sound fun! I will also get one for my mom while we are there, as her Christmas present.

The rest we will just wing it!

I bought the Disney Princess Christmas lights while I was at Target today, DD likes Christmas lights in her room year-round, so I thought she would love these! My only complaint is that they are battery powered. I guess I will appreciate that if we ever lose power!
I also found a Cinderella pumpkin decorating kit. This will be perfect for our Cinderella movie night activity, this Saturday! We are going to the pumpkin patch that day, so decorating our pumpkins will be our activity. I bought Disney stencils for DH and I.

I definitely need more Disney shirts for our trip, but I've been waiting for a great sale. The CM at the Disney Store on Sunday said they are just starting to get in their fall/winter clothing.

In less than a week we will be 2 months away from our trip!

I have seen them at Walmart in their As Seen On TV section. I think every Walmart has a section like that up front near the registers.

Awesome! I have a Walmart just up the road (doesn't everyone :p) and they have a huge As Seen on TV aisle.

Oooh exciting day tomorrow - Cardinals @ Braves Wildcard game (Go Braves!) AND a trip to Walmart to buy some Trendy Tops :rotfl2:

 and I have new episodes of Survivor & Ghost Hunters on DVR

and I'm getting my hot pink cross-over bag for Disney

AND its Friday

Ha! Tomorrow just gets better and better :rotfl:

:offtopic: I might give the cats a bath tomorrow. For some reason, it has to be a smell thing or something, after a bath they don't recognise each other for about 3 days. They get startled when they see each other, hiss then run away and hide, peering round corners to see if they can see the other one.

Its hilarious. No, I don't just bath them because its funny, they could do with one :littleangel:

There's another possibility - it's possible FP+ will be running by then. You could book a Wishes FP. But it doesn't hurt to book the party and cancel if you don't need it,
Here's hoping that FP+ will be running by then! :wizard:

Can you cancel the party? I just might if its possible to get a refund. I read the fine print before purchasing and got scared off, since you have to pay when you book then it has a 24 hour cancellation policy. I read that as 24 hours from when one makes the booking ... or is it 24 hours before the party its nonrefundable? I'm still tinkering with the idea for the 10th ... or the 3rd ...

I'll join the never ridden the WDW monorails group ... looking forward to it this trip, but still having trouble wrapping my brain around the whole idea of "its transportation, not an attraction" like at DLR.

ses1230 we are birthday buddies! Yay for being born the day after Pearl Harbor ...

Why does one do at 2:43am after the baby wakes up and you can't go back to sleep? Catch up on the over 12 pages of this thread! Wow!!

My souvenir list goes something like this ...
A charm for my bracelet
MVMCP Pin
A mug
Pick a Pearl (possibly, not sure since I just did this last trip)
Stuff for the boys
Christmas Gifts

This trip is finally a reality for me, we paid off (early, didn't want to spend my trip money on something else) ordered PhotoPass+ (already received it in the mail last week) ordered our MVMCP tickets (came in the mail today) set aside spending money, gas money, and DH's pay for the week (he just started his job in April so doesn't have paid vaca yet). And .... We are in the 50 something days till we leave!!!!!!

I'm still stalking ADRs for with Crystal Palace or CRT (good luck) breakfast reservations for 12/5. Ideally I'd love to get in before park open, if not it will be on my must do list for our next trip.

Ok, I'm gonna try to go back to sleep now since morning will be here all to quickly.

FP+ has special viewing areas for Wishes and both parades. It also has FPs for things that have never needed FPs ever. I mean, Tomorrowland Speedway, really? Anyway , in the last test they used two Wishes locations - the Rose Garden and somewhere near the Dessert Party.

Which resort are you in? Generally I wouldn't worry about someone stealing it, but you never know. I hadn't thought about wreaths. But that would take up a lot of suitcase space, I think. And I have 2 doors now.

I don't have a topper either. One tree is 3' and the other is 2'. Also would like a skirt but I don't sew.
