Hi everyone!!! :wave2:

Wow, it's taken me almost two days to catch up since I posted last (somewhere around page ninety-something)... anyway, so excited at how close we're all getting to our Christmas trips!!

I'm at T minus 57 days, 17 hours and 12 minutes...

I've loved reading about monthly plans to make the time go faster!
For us we have the following:

Rest of October - volleyball games every weekend, select girl's softball tournaments (manfriend coaches), HALLOWEEN (we LOOOOVEEE halloween!!) and of course, the reason for the fall season - FOOTBALL every Sunday... God bless the person who thought of Sunday NFL ticket...

November - my birthday (cough, we can skip that), more football and softball and of course Thanksgiving and putting up our Christmas decorations.

We've decided to drive to Austin the night before and stay the night there so we won't have to leave SA at o'dark:thirty... so technically, I can now say our vacation starts NEXT MONTH since we'll be on the road November 30! We're still hoping SW will lower their flights to MCO out of San Antonio so we can fly in and out from here. If it were just a few dollars more than we'd do it for sure when you consider the cost of gas to drive to Austin, but it's still about $100 more per person to go out of SA...

I got our shirts from Disney Store I had ordered a few weeks ago and as cute as they are, there's just no way that medium I ordered for me is going to fit the actual medium me... just sayin'... I was shocked when manfriend agreed to order a somewhat matching shirt. I gave him options and he was cool with wearing the same colors/similar design - guess he figures that's better than the tie-dyed shirts I was aiming for over the summer :confused3

ahhhh so happy to be back and sharing with the peeps who get me! :upsidedow

We are flying from Austin on 12/1 also!!!!:thumbsup2 We live about an hour south-east of Houston and are saving over $600 by flying Jet Blue out of Austin.::yes:: It is an extra 2 hour drive but we just couldn't pass up the savings. Our flight doesn't leave until 4 so we will drive in that morning.:hyper:

Decide which clothes you want to wear at each park (could be difficult with weather. I am going to be really bummed if all my cute new shirts are covered up all week).

You could wear your cute new shirts layered on top of a long-sleeved tee, fleece or an under-armour type top. That's my plan at least. Although I really would love a warm trip!

Wow! That's a huge savings! That's our entire hotel cost this trip... and see, that's what I take issue with though... technically, going out of Houston would put you closer to the Mouse = less fuel for the airplane. So why is it then less expensive fly from an airport that's actually farther away from your final destination? :confused3

We fly out at 7:35am which means we'd need to leave SA by 3:30 to drive, park off-site, grab the shuttle and get to the aiport by 6. I'd much rather take our time getting to Austin the night before and sleeping a few more hours...

Glad to see you back so quickly! Feeling okay after the fix'er'up?

Sore today, but the mess are helping as long as I don't do anything. When I have to get up, it is major owies. I have to go to physical therapy tomorrow. The thought of them making me move this leg is making me want to cry.

Man, I can only imagine how you're dreading PT. My mom had shoulder surgery last year and was in PT two days later - it wasn't as bad as she thought it was going to be - they definitely took it easy on her considering how "fresh" everything was. Hoping it's the same for you and not as bad as you're thinking...

Just noticed your sig and thought we're on the same boat! Don't know if you're being for real but we're FOR SURE not telling our kids about our anniversary trip! Manfriend keeps making little comments here and there and I'm just thinking "dude, you're gonna get us soooo busted!" :rolleyes2 everytime he even jokes about it the room goes silent (que cricket chirps) and the looks they give us... well, lets just say they're not the shiny happy people the were two minutes before...

Well, I went ahead and used the $20 off a $40 purchase today to get a few things, including this for myself.

I hope it fits OK. If not, I can always return it.

Aittran has great RT out of S.A. they are still cheaper if you take 2 pieces of luggage that you might have to pay for. Also, the fares out of Austin come down quite a bit. I'm flying out of S.A. SWA on Dec 19 the only reason I'm flying SWA is because I was able to get the SWA CC which had 50k rewards as an incentive so we're flying free.

Hilarious! But I like your thinking - that's so something I would say! :rotfl2:

Not to be more of an enabler, okay, yes maybe I am aiming for others to join in my shopping crusade... I've seen quite a few Disney Christmas shirts on eBay...

I'm thinking I'm going to go ahead and book the dessert party. That might be the only night we get to see it and I want it to be the best experience possible.

There's another possibility - it's possible FP+ will be running by then. You could book a Wishes FP. But it doesn't hurt to book the party and cancel if you don't need it,

LOVE that shirt!

Ok. I'm back. Had to step away for a bit. I'm at that in between stage - I've locked everything in for the trip there's nothing left to do expect pack & stuff and its way too early for me to do that. I'm a pack-the-day-before kinda girl. Don't know why but I just got super stressed this morning so I went off to play with the unicorns & rainbows and now I'm fine :smokin:

I just went to my Vet to pick up flea preventative so we're chit chatting about how bad they have been this year because we basically didn't have a winter it was so mild. She says "Oh I heard this year will be the coldest wettest winter we've had in 10yrs" .... bear in mind I'm only 8hrs from WDW. So I just looked at her and said "You must have heard wrong, because I'm going to Disney :p"

Sorry, I refuse to believe her :coffee:

Meltdowns happen to the best of us. :flower3:

I would definitely trade resort hopping for the Wild Africa Trek. :thumbsup2

Yay!! You are going from MK-Epcot.

I am guessing you are bussing to MK from the BW? It seems kinda funny to say you are going from BW to CR via the monorail. I think there is a thread about monorail expansion. :rotfl2:

Wow!! That is a great idea and easy way to see a different resort for a minute or two.

Actually we're planning to get to CR from BW via Epcot. We'll likely walk to Epcot and grab lunch in WS then take the monorail from there. Not the most efficient way. Walking to DHS and taking a bus to any resort would be faster. (And we couldn't walk through Epcot if we didn't have APs.) but the monorail is more fun!

Very true! I have an OSU hoodie that I live in up here in the fall, so that's what I was thinking of. Will have to investigate some underneath layering options. Thanks!!

Oh!! That makes sense. Duh, forgot about the Epcot monorail going the other direction. :confused3

Girls, need your help. I saw a commercial once for this type of 'band' that you put round your waist so if your top was a little short, it created a layered look - looked like you had a longer top on underneath. Anyone know what they are called?

Glad you are back. You miss a lot around here in just a few hours.

I dont believe her either. And plus, winter is really Jan and Feb, right? :goodvibes

I forget what the infomercial ones were called, but Target has some. Blush shirt extenders.

That would be awsome if FP+ is an option in Dec :thumbsup2

She must be absolutely wrong!! :crazy2: We will have wonderfully warm weather for our December trips. We will. We really will.

And, I joined the shopping brigade... Just bought a couple long-sleeved thermal tees for me and DD from Disney shopping. ::yes:: We need them for layering at night. Yep, need them. I did refrain from the Epcot WS tees. Will probably regret it, but I'd rather buy something at the parks when I'm there. At least that's what I told myself
