We used to drive every trip when I was a kid but never drove once we got to WDW. This will be our first time driving around in WDW and since it's just DH and I we can see which we actually like better. It will be nice to have the option

Good Morning everyone!! Today DH starts his new job. Crossing fingers that all will be okay with him taking a week off in December.

So as I see on various blogs that Disney is re-painting entrances, finishing FLE (minus Mine Train), installing Osborne and Castle lights.. I can't help but get this song in my head.

We are renting a car from the airport. We drove down to Disney last year and I was spoiled by the ease of getting to and from our ADRs. I am really bummed I won't get to experience ME though.

Car sounds like a good plan. Wishing you well with surgery and speedy recovery!! I think it is good to plan conservative, and if you don't need the ECV, you don't need it.

All the debate on car rental has me completely confused now. The times I really would like a car all involve MK,after evening EMH and after MVMCP, which of course is the worst park to drive to!!! . DH is the one driving, so I will just let him decide. He can be in charge of planning SOMETHING!!

I changed my Kona breakfast to our "rest" day. It is the morning after our late night at EMH MK, but I figure I will get up and have Tonga Toast and then I can go back to the resort and sleep if I need to. DH never sleeps past 7, so he'll be up anyway.

LOL. You know, it's funny my DH hates public bus transportation. But if I suggested we drive at Disney, he'd think I was insane. He'd end up doing all the driving and he'd hate it. We love Disney transport and there's only been a couple times I remember being packed in like sardines.

I'm thankful this has been your experience. I was just reading a thread on TPAaS this morning and there are some real horror stories about the wait times. We'll be driving down but my plan is to park the car and forget about it.

I'm not quite sure why I'm so adverse to driving on Disney property. I just can't see how there wouldn't be car queues leaving the parks at closing times or time wasted because I took a wrong turn.

So keep singing the praises of Disney transport :

Wow! Between not being excited by the menu and not sure I wanted to do a TS at MK during our short trip, I didn't even bother to try for BOG. Now I'm thinking it would be worth it just for the cupcakes! Yum!

Tell him he can have it for only day 1, and use that day to go to MK. That way, you can get a pic of him as the 5th member of the barbershop quartet, and 1 of him beneath a Casey's sign. Then he has to shave it that night.

Though I kind of respect his courage. I'm a facial hair wearer myself (goatee), and BDLsgal is always telling me I "missed a spot" when I'm done shaving.

That would be a fun picture, I guess. Although I think it would be weird to see him without any facial hair at all. He has at least had a goatee as long as I've known him.

We won't have to wait til Dec for the frequency of posts to increase. Remember, The MVMCP starts Nov 9th. Also, CP and Osbourne start at Thanksgiving weekend. Sites like allears and others will have reports and blogs. Not to mention, our brethren over on the November 2012 thread. I'm sure they will provide BOUNTIFUL insight and pics for re-posting. That, along with the customary seasonal change of restaurant menus, reviews, people changing dates, ADR's and other people joining the roll call...

Part 5 might be aiming low.

Hi! I've been lurking but wanted to come out and say hi. I am going Dec 9 - 15 staying at Art of Animation (Little Mermaid) with my Mom. I'm excited because it is our first girls only trip and it will be my second time at WDW in December.

Thanks for all the feedback - glad to hear I can save the money and use it on something else for the trip.

On a different note: I just heard that they're reinstalling the giant balloon at DTD It was one of the first things I was looking forward to when I booked my trip (before I knew about all the other awesome things at WDW). So, for anyone else who was hoping it'd be back, no need to worry!

They have the same cupcakes listed for the CS lunch!!!!
I'm thinking we might have to get one of each and have a cupcake buffet!
Especially since the line to get in there will probably be longer than the one for Space Mountain!

So lately my BF has been into doing odd things with his facial hair. I think its a result of the Gillette commercials. Well now he says he wants to grow a handlebar mustache in time for our trip! OMG! I don't know if I can handle having that in all of our pictures. lol
