Disneystore.com is offering free shipping on park products until Sunday... Thinking souvenir shopping now.... Or just buy a few things for a Disney Fix!

I bought two of those (one for me, one for my partner) because I figured we'd need them on the way to the airport, since we're in Chicago. Ha!

Good point!! I have a couple sitting in my cart right now. Trying to talk myself out of the $42 holiday hoodie.

Last year we drove down and it was cold here when we left, but I wouldnt let my DB take his coat. He did have a hoodie, but he whined for many hours about being cold. :lmao:

I don't feel too badly for him. We'll be taking a bus (by 4am!) and then hopping on the L to the airport. Ha! At least we'll be at MCO by 10:35am and on the ME pretty soon after that.

We are flying so there are definitely no coats going!!! It was cold though. We drove just a few hours Friday night and stayed in a hotel in West Virginia, got up at 4 to drive the rest of the way. It was very cold in that hotel parking lot. But then it got warmer and warmer as we drove south. :thumbsup2

whoa whoa whoa... hoping the weather isnt too hot for long sleeves!? thats blasphemy! Im hoping it isnt too cold for short sleeves!

This is me right now:
:worship::sunny:
"please let me go to the waterpark... please let me go to the waterpark oh beautiful sun"

ok, so how about a compromise! Warm enough during the day for your waterpark and shortsleeves but cooler at night to feel more Christmas-y and enjoy long sleeved shirts without carrying a jacket?

See, her in SA we don't get coldish weather until maybe late December. I remember buying our Christmas tree a few years ago and it was 90 degrees! Takes away a little bit of the traditional Christmas experience - KWIM?

I bought the red thermal for me and the red men's thermal for manfriend. I actually like his more but prefer the ladies cut for me. Too bad they don't offer the ability to interchange designs. I'd love the Mickey from the white shirt on the red thermal...

These shirts were $15 last weekend - had to snatch them up when they dropped to $12. After tax and shipping it came out to $15 each for two. Still much less expensive than buying at WDW.

If its our 'regular' southern weather then for those from up north, daytime should be water park friendly. The evenings feel chilly but only cuz it was so warm during the day :)

I read a trip report a while back where the family lived up north and it was during winter so consequently, they couldn't leave their heavy cold weather jackets at home. So when they got to the airport, they rented a locker and left all their coats, gloves and hats so they'd have them when they returned but wouldn't need to haul them all the way there... good thinking, right?

Fast forward, they get to Disney and it's freezing! Like sleet, icicles and just never got above 40 degrees their entire trip! They ended up having to BUY all new winter wear at WDW for everyone in the family.

I have both of those red thermals in my cart!! Along with a few others things. :rolleyes1

Eek! That would be horrible!

We always just put our in our suitcases once we get to the airport. That way, we just have to hand them in when we check our bags and that's the last time we have to carry / roll them around, since we do DME. Then, when we get them back when we're home, we just grab our coats out of them and we're on our way!

Oh I would have been so mad!!! I bet they went in 2010 when it was so cold. I check the weather constantly in the days leading up to the trip. Although last year it showed 80s all week and I didnt believe it and took no shorts!! Had one pair of capris and did laundry every night so I could wear them and not my jeans.

haha I'm on-board for 70s during the day and 50s at night...

I was there in January 2010 and it was during a bad cold snap so we spend most of the time wandering around in jeans and a hoodie... which is totally fine by me... but I would have liked to hit the pool at least a few times. We ended up rearranging all our plans to be at AK the warmest day so the animals would be more active.

I will admit that I could imagine the fake snow and hot chocolate seeming more out of place it it never got somewhat cold...

2010 was an awful winter for us! We had a snow storm which is unheard of - it was so thick you couldn't see the house across the road and then we had a freeze, the roads had a thick layer of ice so no driving. We couldn't leave the house for 3 days. But that was totally unusual, I'd never seen a winter like that in 8 yrs here and the local said the last time they had a 'bad' winter was '93.

If this year is anything like last year, 70's during the day high 40's low 50's at night. You do feel that 30degree drop at night though so bring a jacket.

Ok just bought the Mickey red thermal (mens), the red short sleeve "Mickey through the years" and the pink retro Disney World shirt. I wanted one of those on our trip last year, but never bought it. So now I have one. I think I now have a Disney shirt for every day of our trip and a couple extras, so I can mark that off the list. :thumbsup2

You do have the double whammy of countdowns, Disney trip AND wedding. I was engaged for less than 3 months so that time flew by!! :rotfl2:

When did you start your ticker? Your Mickey and Minnie are way closer to the end than my Goofy is.

Yeah, I have too much to look forward to, I'm going to explode.

And I started that bad boy a longggggg time ago. Haha

Ok I feel better now. I have us watching Illuminations 3 out of 7 nights. What is your favorite spot to watch from?

The handicapped viewing area in Germany.

Actually, one night on this trip we'll have 6 or 8 people. Too many for Handicapped viewing. Any suggestions on other locations?

That's funny. We compromised in Jan 2011. we left during a blizzard so coats weren't optional but we took short winter jackets and gloves. No long wool coats, scarves, hats, etc. fortunately the coats stayed in the closet the whole trip. We'll likely do the same again.

Snow without cold - I'm all over that. As far as I'm concerned, snow is the only thing that makes cold worthwhile. ;)

Went to Target at lunch since I am in a shopping kind of mood today. Saw your pink shoes Wedgie. Didnt have my size and they didnt have any of the black with pink trim. I almost bought these but just couldnt do it. They are comfy though.

How do you rename the link???? I just spent 10 minutes trying.

ETA: I did it!!! I did it! Thanks Wedgie!

I was thinking the same thing. We were down there for that stretch. And, for people from the north it was "chilly", but comfortable. For everyone else... It was not uncommon to see whole families dressed like Randy from Christmas Story.

As a side not, Boston was 10* warmer the whole time we were in WDW.

I like those too, just not loud enough for me :rotfl: Shame they didn't have your size in pink. I'm loving Target at the moment.

To rename a link: when you post your link, you will see that the second half is already highlighted. Basically, your link is pasted twice and the second one is where you can rename it :) Hope that made sense cuz I'm a kinda nonsensical person :p
