Had planned a wonderful December trip with ALL of my children, DIL and grandson! BUT was thrown an ENORMOUS curve when I lost my job last month! ACCKK!! After almost 8 years working for same attorneys, the day I come back from foot surgery, they let me go. Devastating to say the least!

BUT have babysat for friends and family throughout the years and have now registered with a local sitting site that is allowing me to make enough to not only make ends meet but keep the vacation on track (luckily it was already 80% paid!). And unemployment is a God send! (Am applying everywhere but everyone says that no one is hiring until after the election!!)

So now I'm allowing myself to get excited again! Will be me, DS#1 (29), DIL (24), DS#2 (also 29), DD (27) DD's boyfriend (31), my precious grandson (3) and me!! Woo Hoo!!! Back to planning our days, our ressies - can't WAIT!!

Anyone using app on an Android? Mine is bugging or and I've had to uninstall it. I keep getting notifications at all hours of the night where as before it world never do that.

I'm on iOS but its been really buggy for the past week. I get blank posts that I can't read or bugs where I can't type.

Yikes!! Sorry about the job loss, but glad things are working out for you. And glad the trip is back on!!!! :cool1::cheer2: Sounds like a fun one with your whole family.

I hear ya!

Thats a great age for kids in Disney too. So I assume you have twins?

Yes, 9 year old boy, 7 year old boy/girl twins.

The ages are one of the reasons we are going back so soon. We feel like the "magic" window won't be open much longer. Later will still be fun, but not quite the same.

I know. Thats why we immediately booked xmas when we got back last year, my DD will be 12 when we go but she suffers from Peter Pan syndrome so still has that magic but I know it won't be for long.

Why do they have to grow up

53 days until our surprise holiday at the Grand Floridian. :)

We are arriving November 30th after we pick the kids up from school. Hopefully they'll have no idea what we are doing. Our last trip this June was a great surprise.

Our plans so far:

Dec. 1 - Candlelight Processional
Dec. 2 - MVMCP and Dessert Party
Dec. 3 - Osborne Lights

Can't wait! :goodvibes

Sounds like a great trip so far! Welcome! I added you to the Roll Call.

So glad to hear that your trip is still on. So sorry about your job and wishing you the best in finding a new one.

Good afternoon! This morning I took DS6 for his well check and we ha some questions about stomach issues/acid reflux since he had a stomach bug over Labor Day weekend. She told me he has reflux as a result of the bug and that his stomach should even itself out. But it's been quite a while that he has been dealing with this. He is now eating tums like candy. We are praying that it cleans itself up because I don't want to put him on daily meds. Poor kid!

It cold here and we are just bumming around the house watching cartoons. Anyone else relaxing on this holiday?

Hi
Has anyone with peanut allergies done this? My daughter is wondering if she will have some good choices or just the prepackaged brownies and cookies.
Thanks for any replies.

I don't get federal holidays, but I'm still home, recuperating from probable West Nile. :0

I just cancelled an 8:10am at akershus on Sat 12/8 if anyone's looking for a pre-opening ADR that day. booked a later time for us since we have MVMCP the night before

They always report it on the news and spray for mosquitos, but I have never known anyone who actually got West Nile. Feel better!!

Very good point!

I saw that the blood mobile was at work today so I checked to see if they had an opening and they did so I gave blood! That ate up about 45 minutes of my time today.

That was a very productive use of your time. :thumbsup2

Make him eat probiotic yoghurt every day! Look up online the best one (some are probiotics in disguise so useless).

I swear by it. Have always given it to my daughter and it works wonders to help sort the tummy out after a bug.

Hope he gets better soon!

Why did the DisneyStore app get rid of the New Arrivals category? This makes no sense.

Probably with the new store design they just unveiled. I have to say I'm less than impressed. And a huge PITA this morning trying to buy just one ornament.

Discount code is FREESHIP for free shipping on any order today. Maybe it was just too busy.

Hi. No allergies here - but I have traveled with a child and food allergies and as long as they know ahead of time can prepare. I have read about desserts coming out on their own platter wrapped. However, I know cross contamination with desserts is hard - this might be a better question for the DISabilities board or dining board if no one can give you an experience. Good Luck!

Yeah, lucky me. Lol won't know for sure for two weeks, but doc said I had all the symptoms, and neg for everything else. One of my coworkers had it in August. It stinks!

Our contest is getting down to the wire! Only one week until we declare the winner!

:offtopic: I made a big life change today: I redeclared majors. I'm now an AYA Social Studies education major (a.k.a. high school social studies teacher). Lots of reasons why, but I'm way less stressed, and much happier having made the change.
