PART TWO *December 2012 Roll Call* Holidays, FLE & MVMCP!! A very, merry thread!

Well since I have been addicted to Disney Store online lately, I told DH to not let me buy any shirts. And I pre-bought my Christmas ornament.

So my list is:
Pick a Pearl
something from MVMCP
coffee mug
magnet

And then some maybes.
picture frame-got a 2011 one last year, but had a lot of trouble finding one I liked
antenna topper?
people with Mickey ear window decals?

Somehow I think I will come home with something not on the list as well. DH will buy a hat. That is all he ever buys.

Oh, yeah! I will probably end up with a mug...maybe. Last year, I got a really cute one with owls on it from the Japan pavilion.

And charms! I got us both charm bracelets about a month ago and we're planning on getting a few charms while we're in Disney World.

I have nearly all our planning done (except some touring strategies).

This is the one dining choice I am still torn about. We are staying at BCV. We will be going to Osborne lights in the evening. I want to aim to see the lights while Fantasmic (6:30) is going on.

Three options----

1. Kouzzina at opening 5, and then drive or boat it over to DHS. We like greek food. Though I hear service can be slow. Never been so could be fun to try new place.

2. Mama Melrose just before 5. I hear mixed reviews about food and service. We like good Italian food. I hear it can take a long time to be seated. Never been.

3. 50s Prime Time. We have eaten here before and enjoyed it. Can sit at 5:20. I don't remember a long wait to sit or to be served.

HELP!!!! :confused3:confused3 We are going with our 2 year old.

We did Mama Melrose and we loved it. We're doing it again this year for the Fantasmic dinner package.

I guess I just don't get the whole "paying off early". Saving the money to pay for it, sure. But I don't want to give Disney my money any sooner than I have to.

Same here

I have only been to MM once, and it was in a slow day this past February, but I had no problems. I got there about 20 minutes before my ADR and was seated in less than 10 minutes. My server, Ronald, was great and I loved the food. And it's close to Osborne so you could eat then just walk right over. I'm actually trying to get a ressie for my trip, but the only time they have open right now is 7, and I want to enjoy Osborne lights for a while and not have to leave them to eat.

I love Pick a Pearl! I did it in Nov 2010 and got myself a ring done, and I got 5 pearls in February for myself and Christmas gifts for my 2 sisters and mother. I was lucky in Feb to get 2 large silvers, a large white, an average sized gold pearl and an average pink-tinted one. :goodvibes I'm sure I'll do it again this trip, I can't stay away!! :rotfl

That's funny. Someone yesterday said it was addictive. Maybe I should avoid it. :rotfl:

So I think I am going to do pick a pearl with my daughter in Epcot. I saw some cute inexpensive cages on eBay.... All your guys talk about this has me wanting to do it!! Even my husband thinks its a fun idea!

I just booked a 2nd dessert party. I'm unsure which to choose from. :confused3
My original ADR was for the MVMCP which already had a very busy schedule.

Plan A DEC 20 MVMCP
BBB for DD @ 5
Lighting of castle @ 6:15
CRT @ 7:15
Dessert party @ 9:30

Or

Plan B Dec 25
ADR- BOG 7:20
Dessert Party @ 10

I think I'm gonna go with plan B, what do y'all think?

They are cute! I already received mine and DD LOVED them.

Thanks guys!! I am still torn. I like the idea of being at DHS already so it is a quick walk over to the lights, but Kouzzina sounds yummy too. I guess we can always eat at Kouzzina during another stay. Hmmmmm hmmmmmmmmmmm

I agree -- PLan B sounds way less stressful and then you can enjoy more of MVMCP

Congrats to you both!!! :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

But now it's time from a PSA from BDL.

We are now in the home stretch people. Time to get ready for the marathon gauntlet that Walt Disney World. Not only should everyone start walking regularly, but make sure that the shoes/sneakers/Teevas/Crocs that you are planning to wear down there, are broken in, but not too broken in.

And that's... One to grow on.

Have my shoes. Just need to kick-you-know what to get back and walking. I am going to rehab 2 -3 times a week for 6 weeks. I think I am gonna try walking wdw without the scooter first, but keep it as back up if needed. I def wanna take this cooler therapy thing. How do you deal with flying with "medical equipment"?

I think B makes more sense. Why pay for the MVMCP if you're going to spend most of it paying again for other stuff? And it would be less stressful.

What kind of equipment us it? How big is it? Generally, medical equipment shouldn't count against your luggage allowance. But I guess it can vary.

Ha! Good idea...

- a pearl from Japan in Epcot for sure.
- a shirt of some sort
- a MVMCP pin
- an AoA pin (if I see a cute one)
- a xmas ornament (for my mom)

I think that might be all. I don't tend to buy much (aside from food!) when I'm at WDW. I know my partner will be trading vinylmations and maybe buying a few, and probably getting a stuffed animal of some sort.

True!

I know for sure I will be doing another pick a pearl in Japan. I have already order my crown necklace for it. I have one in a carriage necklace for last year.

I would like to get some sorta Christmasy ears

Snowman Mickey popcorn bucket

I promised the kids I would get them each something.

Don't know what else, but I will probably be buying more than just that.

Makes tons of sense.

It is literally a small cooler that has tubes and a pump attached. I wrap the one part around my knee , fill the cooler with icey water and it pumps it around my knee to keep the swelling down.

I would Google your airline re: medical equipment.

That was my philosophy - I could either do Dessert Party on Sat 8th but then we would miss the Electric parade which we haven't seen before or do it on MVMCP and I thought exactly what you said ^^^ so we're leaving the dessert party and doing that on our next trip. We have so many other things to do that I didn't want the trip ending up where we're trying to cram everything in when some of those things can be done any time of year.

I'm really looking to Kouzzina so it gets my vote.
