Wohoo! HAHA I always dream that I forget to pack clothes and we are rushing around our house filing a bag trying not to miss our flight.

Shopping note - I went to Michael's today and they have all the Christmas stuff out. They usually have Disney stuff in the stocking stuffer aisle, not too much this time but some sparkly princess stuff and some super cute socks (boys and girls).

On an unrelated note, they tore down our Food Lion a few months back and when I went over there today, it was a brand new Kohls. Yay.

I'm playing with my Silhouette and an ornament die cut this evening. For my Disney tree. We'll see how it goes.

Looooove khols!

Just have to brag about how great my DH is
Someone posted a pic of Tonga Toast last week and I tweeted back that I would be happy if I could have it 1 day a week for the rest of my life. Well so apparently he paid attention to that tweet and looked up how to make and bought the stuff today so we can make it tomorrow. :cool1: He didn't even really care for it but wants to make it anyway.

I know this is another question asking you to be a weather forecaster, but I need your opinions. I am ordering a custom Dr. Seuss dress for DD for our IoA day. I found one that is long-sleeved (yay!), but I just wonder if she'd be too hot? I would order a pillowcase dress for her so she can layer, but she is super-stubborn and refuses to wear a shirt under those dresses.

Tough one really because you just really don't know - it could be 70, if its anything like last year, it will be very warm during the day. I would have a plan b.

Oh, I almost forgot to report in that my Mickey mail came today!! :cool1: :woohoo: :dance3:

:woohoo: Great news!

I purchased regular, 5 day MYW tickets, without hopper. Trying to save money, and now I'm wishing I had purchased hoppers. :confused3

Look at it as a huge money saver - we dropped hoppers and that paid for our MVMCP tix. You'll be fine :goodvibes

On an unrelated note - my FIL was published in a Diabetes magazine today. Apparently he wrote the article about 6 months ago, well before the accident.

http://forecast.diabetes.org/reflections-nov2012

Thats really cool - thanks for sharing :)

Yeah, I just saw that they cancelled it due to "intense criticism". No? Really?!?!

Yep. In all honesty, I think it was insensitive to not cancel it - I also heard reports from here and on FB that people who were homeless, staying in hotels were being told they had to leave (today) as the rooms were booked for the marathon runners .... so people got angry.

You scored with the Kohls :thumbsup2

Interested to see your crafting results :)

What a sweetie!! :) We made it a couple times, turned out great. Just be sure the bread is REALLY thick, so it doesn't have a blow-out. Enjoy!

Whew!! I've been trying to get caught up in this thread for the past two weeks now! Chatty bunch for sure!

Very happy to hear those that were affected by Sandy are safe. You and your families are definitely in my thoughts.

As for trip planning excitement.... I scored LE CELLIER for LUNCH on our Epcot day!!!! I think I freaked my kids out I was jumping around screaming so much! LOL So excited to eat there, I wanted to last year on our first ever trip but couldn't score a ressie.

I got half of our Mickey mail yesterday too, the pkg info. Hoping Magical Express tags come next week!

I still have a huge to do list too.... hoping to wrap up all the last minute preparations in the next couple weeks!

I'M GOING TO DISNEY WORLD THIS MONTH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :yay:

That's quite the score! Congrats! My friend decided she needs to try the cheese soup, so she's trying to add it anytime between Dec 6-8, and not having any luck.
I've never rented points before- but I'm guessing he would need to do it. : /. However if you call OKW direct I bet they could add it right on to it because they can pull your reservation up at the front desk I think at 9 days out (I had called 2 years ago to add special crib requests to our room and had to wait a day or two longer than just the online check in) worth a try right?
Will definitely try that.
When they called to confirm my time and group, they asked that we arrive promptly because an hour and 15 minutes behind us is a party of 100-- NOW THAT IS NUTS!!!:eek::scared1::scared1:
I can't even imagine 100 kids ... :scared1:

Remember you can always add the hopper on when you get there if you decide you need it, and they'll bridge from whatever price you paid for your ticket to the gate price when they do ... so if the gate price on a 5 day non-hopper is $268 and the hopper is $325 then your price to upgrade is $57/ticket, no matter what you paid for the base ticket.
I'm planning on potentially adding WP&M onto our 10 day hoppers, and even though I bought before the price increase in June and through Undercovertourist, adding it to our tickets will only be $22 each with the bridging.

I grew up in LA and went to undergrad at UCSB. Stayed and worked in SB for two years after graduation. Used to stop in Camarillo (umm...those outlets) on my way to and fro LA. Those outlets got a good amount of my money!

It's funny most people that live here hardly go to the outlets. I want to save my dollars to purchase a few items at WDW!

You all were talking about not having much in the way of Disney clothing. Well I'm a little embarssed to admit i have two tinkerbell sweatshirts and probably 12 different Disney shirts. DH has several Disney t's, gifts from DS. My favorite t-shirt of DH is the one with the turkey leg on the front. :rotfl:

So what took you to South FL? I really love Santa Barbara, would love to live there. :beach:

I was born in San Diego, went to SDSU, then ended up in Camarillo. Most of my family are still in SD, waiting for me to come home! :duck:

I would have to add the hopper on before first use? I bought my tickets through Undercovertourist as well.

Another reason I didn't buy the hopper was, last year I did get the hopper and didn't even use it once. I could see my $$ flying out the window. Do you think with short hours, it would be worth while? Chime in everyone, I need your advice, please! :smokin:

Definitely. Like I said, we dropped them this time because last time we only hopped once. I have scheduled our days so that we spend the full day in the park and on late EMH days, including our ADR which will be our break. For our AK day, which closes at 5pm, I have scheduled Downtown Disney for the evening.

12/7 arrive. Evening in Epcot closes at 12.30
12/8 Full day in MK closes at 10pm (wishes is at 10pm so won't actually leave til 10.30pm)
12/9 Full day in DHS (late EMH) closes at 11pm
12/10 Full day in Epcot closes at 9.30 (Illuminations is at 9.30pm so won't actually leave til 10pm)
12/11 Full day in MK, Christmas Party closes at midnight
12/12 AK til close at 5pm, DTD for the evening
12/13 Boooooo ... go home.

With that schedule I won't need to hop :)

You could add the hopper on whenever, based on when you purchased your tickets it makes most sense to use your ticket so that you have activated it and can bridge it at current gate prices.

We hop because we take a break in the afternoon for nap- makes most sense for our schedule. :)

Just had to share this with you guys :goodvibes

I bought the hoppers because my children are old enough to go about on their own and will likely keep later hours than Mom & Dad. It has already turned out to be a good decision, though, because several evening events (Dive Quest, BOG & the CP) could only be scheduled on certain days when those particular parks weren't recommended.

In the past I never got hoppers, and if I could have scheduled these events differently (and the kids were younger) I wouldn't have purchased them this time, either. I don't like wasting the transfer time between parks, and haven't been to the parks enough to get tired of a given park on a certain day. I would just go to recommended parks for the day and that's it.

Good Morning Dec DIS'ers :)

I really don't have the motivation to be at work... 3 hrs down 2 to go!!

Morning December friends! It's a crisp fall morning here in SE PA. Tonight we are heading to ( & volunteering) at date night at our church. They are bringing a comedian in, should be fun. Tomorrow I am heading to Peddler's Village (not sure anyone knows where this it but it a quaint shopping village) for their Apple Festival. It's gonna be chilly but I'm looking forward to a girls day of window shopping and eating, lol.

This morning we are watching Disney Junior and Choo Choo Soul is doing the Disney classics. My boys love it! Wonder if they will release them for purchase?

DS3 (soon to be DS4) loves Choo Choo Soul. I think that he thinks the female singer is pretty.
