DH started asking me about Disney last night. That means he is getting excited (and that it's getting close! Planner he is not.). He asked how much cash we need. I know we need toll money, but what about vendor carts? Are they cash only?

He approved the upgrade to PP+, so I'll do that this weekend. He asked how much more we have to spend. Oh, haha! Let's see, the custom dress for DD for IoA (and maybe a matching one for DN. I decided on a sleeveless dress that she can wear with a sweater. I also wanted to get some Mickey head shirts for the Christmas party. His reply, "Don't we have enough shirts!?" Hehe. I have one final payment on the house to make on the 7th. After I do that I will probably order my Chase Rewards card.

Morning December friends! It's a crisp fall morning here in SE PA. Tonight we are heading to ( & volunteering) at date night at our church. They are bringing a comedian in, should be fun. Tomorrow I am heading to Peddler's Village (not sure anyone knows where this it but it a quaint shopping village) for their Apple Festival. It's gonna be chilly but I'm looking forward to a girls day of window shopping and eating, lol.

This morning we are watching Disney Junior and Choo Choo Soul is doing the Disney classics. My boys love it! Wonder if they will release them for purchase?

I love Peddlar's Village! I really like the toy store and stationery store. Have Fun!!

We were going to go into NJ to go to Target and Disney outlet but decided not to.

Maybe I'll go across town to Michael's. Does anyone know if Michael's has the invitation envelopes? Or maybe I'll just go up to the stationery store a few blocks from here. But they are so expensive.

It's chilly here, we have the window cracked.

I keep hoping my Mickey Mail shows up. We got the receipt letter with all charges about 10 days ago.

Ok, lots to report but I'm supposed to be getting ready for the birthday party, so we'll see how far I get.

First, I got an email from MIL this morning. FIL is doing well but still tires easily. She says he can walk about a mile then has to rest. If she asked him today, she says he would cancel. But apparently she's not asking him.

He's still wearing the brace, slated to come off mid-Dec. that makes it hard to do much. They come home from FL on the 15th and he's concerned about the stairs again. In FL he can move around independently but with the stairs he'll need help.

He has a doctor's appointment on Nov 27. She emailed to find out my cancellations deadline -Nov 28. So she's planning to ask the doctor if he can take the brace off early. She thinks that will speed recovery. She's probably right, however, I have to think a faster recovery could lead to increased risk if re-injury and that slowing him down is a large part of the brace. (Thoughts from those if you with medical training?)

So in a nutshell - I won't have a final answer until Nov 27. But till now I've been pretty focused on Plan A. I think I need to still Plan fro A but B seems the more likely option. I booked room and ADRs for B but haven't done TPs and stuff like that. I'll have to still plan decorations and pixie dust for both rooms. No way around that.

Lots more to share but have to run.

There are a couple vendors on the Boardwalk that don't take KTTW. But I can't think of anything that's in the parks that would require cash.

Tips for valet parking and bell hops. That's about all we use tax for. Our wallets stay in the room.

Just have to brag about how great my DH is
Someone posted a pic of Tonga Toast last week and I tweeted back that I would be happy if I could have it 1 day a week for the rest of my life. Well so apparently he paid attention to that tweet and looked up how to make and bought the stuff today so we can make it tomorrow. :cool1: He didn't even really care for it but wants to make it anyway.

what time is breakfast

Saw this and wanted to share, as it is near & dear to my heart: The Walt Disney Co is donating $2 million to Hurricane Sandy relief and matching employee donations :-)

That is so wonderful! Thank you for posting that

 Your poor in-laws, it sounds to me like your trip to Disney might be too soon for them. I hope his recovery goes from strength to strength

Question. If I apply cash to my KTTW card and I don't use it all during our trip do they give me cash back when we check out? I'm debating whether to just apply all of our spending money or just keep cash on us each day.

I just looked it up .... I wanna come! It looks gorgeous!

Part 4 here we come!! :car:

I guess which day we hit depends on how busy everyone is today

I assume maybe tomorrow but probably Monday since w are usually pretty quiet on the weekends. But since everyone's trip is getting so close and excitement is running high I wouldn't be surprised if we hit it tomorrow.

You all were talking about not having much in the way of Disney clothing. Well I'm a little embarssed to admit i have two tinkerbell sweatshirts and probably 12 different Disney shirts. DH has several Disney t's, gifts from DS. My favorite t-shirt of DH is the one with the turkey leg on the front. :rotfl:

Dpnt be embarrased about having Disney shirts!! Some of us may have bought all new ones to wear on this trip. :rolleyes1.

I would have to add the hopper on before first use? I bought my tickets through Undercovertourist as well.

Another reason I didn't buy the hopper was, last year I did get the hopper and didn't even use it once. I could see my $$ flying out the window. Do you think with short hours, it would be worth while? Chime in everyone, I need your advice, please! :smokin:

I love hoppers and plan to use them almost everyday. We are 2 adults with a car, so the travel time is not too bad. Or we will go to a park in the morning and then back to the resort before heading to the park with late EMH. BUT----just wait to get them. If you are at MK and decide you want to go to Epcot, you can add the hopper at Epcot before entering. That way you know you are going to use it. It will cost $57 on your first day or your last day.

I have that dream a lot. Along with the one where its time to take a test and I haven't even taken the shrink wrap off m textbooks.

If I were drinking coffee, that would have made me spit it out. Lol. What an awful dream. :scared1:

So I'm sitting at work trying to figure out "Peddlers Village" - sitting there- thinking it sounds so familiar!! Well a little googling and I've been there! I used to go out to New Hope a lot when I lived in NJ.... Now I have an urge to go to Marsha Browns!

Just found this thread and wanted to join! We arrive Dec 2, staying until 8th. So excited! Staying off-site at condo. There are 7 of us, whole family trip!!
