I just bought a hot little black dress for our date night at Cali Grill. A little incentive for DH to get in the Disney spirit? LOL. (Yes, I did take a pic of myself in it! )

Came home from work a little early. No wallet in car or house. Luckily I had a stash of cash at home, so I grabbed some and put gas in my car. (Cant remember the last time I prepaid instead of using my card). Then went to DMV to get a new drivers license. Then went to my bank to stop my debit and credit card. The bank fraud dept had already put a hold on my account because my debit card had been used yesterday for over $2000!! I never use my debit card and that is way more than was in my checking. So the teller called the fraud people and then I talked to the fraud lady. Both said the charges would be taken off, no problem. I just have to go back in and dispute the charges if they post to my account. Should know that tomorrow. So now I know someone has my wallet. Creepy!! I came home and called all my credit card companies (way too many). I think I got them all. Everything else in the wallet were various rewards cards, library card, nothing that can hurt me. Oh, I need to call and get a replacement health insurance card. Phew!! So now I have no credit cards for 7-10 days!! DH is pretty happy about that. Ok thanks for reading. I know many people have worse problems today, but this was my drama.

Yikes! Good thing you went and cancelled everything. DH had his debit card number stolen from an employee at a restaurant we went to (this was 5+ years ago). I frequently check our bank account online and noticed a charge that wasn't familiar. I asked DH about it and he didn't know what it was for. We notified the bank and kept an eye on our account. Then it happened again, so we immediately contacted our bank and cancelled the card. DH got a new one and we were refunded the money for both charges. Soon after I read in one of our local newspapers that an employee at this particular restaurant was arrested and charged for stealing customer credit card numbers and making unauthorized charges. Thankfully, we haven't had another issue like that again.

Well, so far, so good. It was a small power surge and it hasn't gone out again. I have our Coleman LED camp light right here in the event it does go out. But I think we should be fine.

DS OTOH feels like a trapped animal in a cage if he doesn't have power to watch tv and stuff Because he is of the computer generation, he doesn't know what to do with himself when we lose power. I'm trying to remember how I faired during Gloria in 1985 when I was 14. I can't.

Good grief! That's freaking SCARY! Glad the fraud department caught it, but am terribly sorry you are now dealing with this mess. And I'd go nuts not having a credit or debit card for almost 2 weeks! I almost never pay for anything with cash or a check anymore.

Well, we got a call from the vet clinic this morning. Our poor Beethoven had been hit by a car and passed away. So I'm home from work to bury him today. PLEASE posts lots and lots of fun trip plans today so when I finally get back on here I have loads to smile and laugh about!

Let's think of something fun......we're 38 days out. That's fun. I'm going to Chicago for the weekend and will be looking for a Disney outlet of some sort.....supposed to be one in Illinois. I know, big state, right? I have 31 items in my shopping cart at the Disney Store but will probably end up buying less than half of them. It just makes me feel happy to see them there (I think those Tinkerbell pjs would look better under my pillow, though)!

I'm not great today. I deal with anxiety and it's flaring up like whoa today. Not fun. Plus, I got a new tattoo last week and it's to that SUPER ITCHY stage. Blah.

Some Halloween this is turning out to be. No power, living out of my fiance's parents house. No timetable for restoration of power.

Oh well, 30 days until the magic happens.

Off to browse some halloween themed Disney pictures. I need something to put me in a better mood.

Soon you will be a happily married couple and will be in the Happiest Place on Earth! This stuff now is just temporary.

We are finally back home. We stayed home for a whole day without power, finally went to a hotel last night. Our neighbor called and said power is back, so now we are home and have to empty the whole fridge. The girls are home again from school driving each other crazy and our township moved Halloween til Saturday.

But everyone remained safe and that is the important thing. I hope everyone else fared well - I haven't caught up on the thread yet.

On a Disney note, I saw on another thread that photopass plus preorder is now $149.

I wonder why they lowered the prices on the pre-order for the PP+ I guess this is what I needed to get that thing ordered! I'll have to check out the link to see how much longer the deal is good for. I'm going out of town this weekend and will probably be spending my "extra cash" then

Sooo tired of reading what a nightmare my Christmas Disney trip will be...someone just referred to that time as "vacation suicide" I know it will be very busy..but how can one person call it vacation suicide and others keep telling me if we plan..it will be fine??

You will be fine! Don't listen to everything you read. You know it's going to be crowded but with a little planning (ok, a LOT of planning), I think it's totally doable....especially if you have realistic expectations. Getting a walk-up table service won't always happen but there are plently of good counter services in the World. Prepare! It could be worse.......it could be that crowded with 90 degree temperatures! See, you're already better off than some

WOW. I've been on this forum site countless times since we started planning our trip last year and somehow completly missed these threads. We're leaving on the 27th and our first day at disney will be on the 28th and we're staying through the 3rd of Jan. 10 of us staying at all star movies.

When my SIL passed away a little over a year ago my husband, his brother, and his remaining sister got a tatoo in memory of their sister. He got some stuff called "Tatoo goo" or something like that. I think it's some sort of moisturizing stuff.....reminds me of petroleum jelly!

I'm trying to move a breakfast ADR by that much, so no, not over planning at all. ROFL

I move ADRs by as little as 15 minutes. You'd be surprised how much hungrier 15 minutes will allow you to get.

Oooo. I haven't ordered mine yet. I definitely will now. I hope it isn't just for today because I CANT FIND MY WALLET!!!!!! Sorry, trying not to freak out. I went to Walmart at lunch and opened my purse to pay and it wasn't in there. The last time I remember using it was yesterday at work when I checked my bank balance to make sure we got paid. So I was hoping it was lying on my desk, but it is not. Now I am hoping it is at home somewhere, but I didn't use it for anything last night so I dont know why I would have taken it out of my purse.

I haven't caught up with the thread yet....but gosh I hope you found your wallet Did you maybe put it in a jacket pocket? Sometimes I take out my wallet and do that.....I have a Vera Wristlet (it fits money, cc, license, and my iPhone). Or sometimes my purse falls over in my car and the contents slide out. That's always fun and is usually met with some bad words coming out of my mouth. I know.....sometimes I surprise myself at how much I can sound like a sailor.

I forgot to mention the two most important things:

1. We paid off the trip today! WooHoo!

and

2.We leave for Disney in 45 days!

Not that I am excited or anything...

So everyone getting hair cuts inspired me to get off my butt and make an appointment! Next Thursday!! I am very excited - I've put it off too tooooo long

I had my appointment on tuesday. I HAD to get my color (was starting to look like a skunk). I went a couple shades lighter over the summer so I returned to my natural color this time.....and boy does it look dark! I should have gotten a more stylish cut but I opted for just getting 2 inches cut off the ends and a few long layers, like I had previously. I wish I had style.

I am on the fence about it too. But I would like the ride photos. DH hates to take pictures, but I told him I want at least one of us in front of each icon. And I am not sure how many character M&G I will do, but DH wants no part of them. I know I could have the PP use my camera, but I want the cute little borders too.

I already warned hubby we were getting the PP+ and that we would be stopping for photos at many icons during our trip. He's used to it and knows how important photos are to me. He'll roll his eyes and pretend he hates it but truthfully, he doesn't mind. I've gotten pretty good at the "self portraits" but they aren't the most flattering so he'll be happy to have some pictures where his head doesn't take up the entire frame.

I like to think of it as "supporting".....not "enabling".

We're at 41 days.....and if I let myself do it, I could tend to go into panic mode. I still need to tie-dye my shirts, make my wreath, figure out my tree, and visualize christmas decorations. I really want a santa mickey and minnie too........and a million other things at the disney store. Oh, and I still have to get my house in order and get it all decorated too! I won't do that until Thanksgiving weekend...but shoot, then we're at less than 2 weeks!

I hope you find your wallet soon. I had dinner with my parents on Sunday, and when the bill came my father opened his wallet and his bank card was gone. Turns out he left it at a store the night before and they still had it, so he headed over there and got it. Hopefully it just fell out in your car or home. Happens to me sometimes.

I think your dad wanted YOU to pay for the meal.

Excuse the brown boots and knee socks. I was wearing those with my jeans today. I plan on wearing black tights (gotta suck in that tummy pooch), black leather knee-high boots, and turquoise statement earrings. The dress has a beige lining, and it is black lace all over, with leather cuffs on the sleeve. DH approves.
