Kathy--I think you have set a record for most posts in one day. I laugh every time I click on the thread and your name is there with the last post. How far from home are you now??

2.5 hours :). Hey, I have to do something to pass the time. We ate at Cracker Barrel already. I've had a lot of catching up to do, lol!

My husband is the same way. Last year was our first trip and he wasn't really excited about it but once we got there, he had a good time. And, the girls and I had so much fun that I was ready to return before the plane ever landed at LIT. DH kept saying we were not going back this year - that we could wait a couple of years. I guess I wore him down though when I pitched "that is so much cheaper this year because we can get free dining and stay at a less expensive resort." Plus, the girls have been saying for months that they were going to ask Santa for a trip to Disney. Poor DH - he is so outnumbered!:rotfl2: Of course, he now swears that this is the last trip for at least a couple of years!

Lol..That's exactly how our trip happen!

LOL

Yes, I am hoping for a great trip and some pixie dust to make him want to go back. We were talking about it last night. He says he likes Disney, he just doesnt "every year" like it. Really I am surprised he agreed to go this year since we went last year. I dont remember how I talked him into that.

Wow on the dream! I think that means you really want to go back next Christmas and NOT for the Halloween party? So my dh feels the same way and thinks we won't go back for a couple years as well. :(

I was told we'll go back next year. If we get a bounce back offer we may just take it. :cheer2:

I know and I swear I read that if you we're a Cirque de Sol club member, you could get two tix for $50 each (category 2). I'm still on the fence. I planned on going but it sure would free up that evening, not to mention alleviate some stress over getting back to Narcoossee for a 9pm ADR afterwards........

Our Costco has a $100 gift certificate for $79 you can use for tickets to any Cirque show in the country. If you are a Costco member you can buy that gift cert and use it for the $50 tickets and it would save you another $21! They have it available on Costco's website, and our store here in KC has them as well, so I would imagine others do too.

We will be there for 8 days. I'm am not computer smart..lmao..so will have to see what I have to work with.

you don't need to be computer smart! My first draft was done with good old-fashioned pen and paper. I drew columns to represent each day then, after my research, filled them in. I then input it into my lappy.

Hello all! I hope everyone else who is in the path of Sandy is staying safe! It is pretty windy now and raining harder, but the worst isn't expected here until 5-6pm, and will last about 12 hours. Winds of 60 mph, gusts up to 110 mph possible, and extremely heavy, flash-flood causing, rains. I'm safe and sound inside now, and don't have any reason to leave until Wednesday!

I'm even heavy one extra cat. Actually, a 4 week old kitten! :goodvibes A woman found him in a box in her apartment complex late last night, and no one knew where he came from. She can't keep him (absolutely no pets of any type allowed there) so she took him to the local vet this morning to ask if they knew where she could take him. They happen to be my vet and know I foster, so they called. Picked him up around 10:30am and decided his name is Hurricane! :lmao: He is sweet as can be, not afraid of the dog or other cats, though he is being kept separated from them for now since he is itty bitty (fits in my hand) and needs kitten food only. Here is a pic of him!

He has a slight limp in his front right leg that the vet thinks is just a minor pulled muscle, but otherwise seems completely healthy. And he is eating great already. So glad he was found and is not out in this horrible weather!

Stay safe everyone on the East Coast, and everyone else, happy Monday to you!

I WANT ONE!!!!

Thanks. I actually just started a word doc and am putting each day with the crowd info from easywdw. Does anyone know when they release the park hours for December?? Thanks

I have a question for you all. We are going to buy an AP in December and I keep hearing people talk about the TiW card. I have tried to reasearch it, but always end up confused. What exactly is it and is it really worth it?

Thanks!!

Hello, my name is Valerie and I buy Disney shirts. I did resist the Old Navy sale. But I have items in my Disney bag.

The first step is recognising that you have a problem :p :lmao:

YIPPEE!!!

Just booked a 3 day trip to WDW for me and my girlfriend - we're going to Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party on December 2!

Staying at Pop Century!

This is my 4th trip to Walt Disney World this year! I'm as excited as ever!

WOO HOO!!!!!!!

Mike.

:cool1: Your excitement is infectious!! Welcome :goodvibes

We might be losing power soon. Our lights just flickered a little bit and already 1800 residents in our town are without power.

:( That stinks, really sorry hun .... hope you manage to keep your power, if not, stay warm & safe!

I saw this link via one of the Disney blogs I read, and thought it was super cool. It's a map of Disney transportation, done in the style of a subway map.

I found it really interesting...hopefully someone else does, too.

VERY cool - I love stuff like that cuz I'm kinda nerdy :teeth:

Tables in Wonderland allow AP holders & Florida residents 20% off food & beverage purchases.

Here are a couple of links: WDW TiW info

TiW info on Disney site

Not being a passholder or FL resident I have never used it so can't give an opinion on whether its worth it, sorry.

ETA: You have to scroll quite far down on the DIsney page to find the TiW in but it says:

"Tables in Wonderland Membership
Save $25 on the regular price of the Tables in Wonderland Membership. Benefits include a 20% discount (excludes applicable tax and gratuity) on all food and beverages at participating Resort hotel and Theme park restaurants and member-only invitations to special Food and Wine events, winemaker dinners and celebrity chef dinners, plus much more.

For more information or to purchase the membership call (407) 566-5858 . Membership benefits are valid for the Passholder and up to 9 Guests. Offer is valid for Passholder only. Certain restrictions may apply."

Be careful...each discount has a different link you need to use to redeem the tickets. The gift cards use cirquedusoleilgift.com, but the $50 tickets have to go through the Cirque Club site, which doesn't offer an option to use a gift card for payment.

Park hours are released. They will update them in mid November, probably extending them a little and adding extra Fantasmics.

I am arriving at WDW 11/29 til 12/6 with my 2 grown sons, staying at POP CENTURY, will be attending MVMCP on Tuesday Dec. 4.
Have been to Disney 26 times, Been to MVMCP 10 times! It has changed over the years, but we still enjoy it!:tinker:

Every time someone posts that, I get worried. I have three pre-park opening ADRs...I'm not sure what I'd do if they open the parks earlier. I'm all for having parks stay open later...just not for opening earlier.

That's how I feel too!
