Thank you everyone!!! It's been extremely windy and we've had some rain. It is hit or miss with the rain usually where we live because we live on a small cay, which is only 2 miles long and a 1/4 mile wide! There are about 250 people that live here. I'm really surprised our power has been on for a while now since the last outage earlier this morning. The electrical company said they would shut the power off when winds got up to 40mph. The major problem comes after a hurricane when power lines are down and they have to come fix them.

I can't find one of my cats (the both stay outside most of the time, but I bring them inside during a storm) and I'm getting worried about her :confused3 Other than that, we are just inside, with the shutters down and bored out of our minds!!! With power we still manage to track the storm online and on cable, but once power goes out, it's horrible because we don't know anything. I remember one hurricane, a few years ago, ending up stalling over us and sitting on top of us for days. And now the weather channel isn't saying much about the Bahamas anymore because they are of course worried about where it will hit in the US later this week, which is understandable, but in the meantime, we don't know too many details. If it jogs a little to the east of us, it would be perfect because we would miss the worst of it. Ugh, not knowing is pure torture!!!

As long as I have power, I'll keep checking in with you all:)

I hope the power stays on for you for awhile. And I really hope your cat appears soon!!!

I hope your cat turns up! Animals seem to have a sixth sense and are good at staying safe...

Hopefully you get the info you need! Do you ever look a NOAA for the hurricane info?

Possible stupid question...can you go check out the new animation resorts even if you're not staying on site. I just think my kids would like to see all the larger than life stuff.

I am going to have serious catching up to do when I get back on later tonight.

I hope kitty comes home soon. If it keeps on track it looks like it might hit me on Tuesday..

Absolutely!! You can go to any resort to visit or eat, no matter where you are staying. (Just don't try to swim there). :goodvibes

I had outpatient laparoscopic gallbladder removal too. I had it on a Tues, and back to work on Friday.

2nd best medical decision I ever made. We won't talk about the first one in mixed company. :)

Wow that's quick! Hope it's the same here.

She is much tougher than me. I had it done on Friday and had the whole next week off. But really, I could have gone back earlier. I also milked my thyroid surgery for 3 weeks off. That's what the surgeon signed off and so that is what I took. Came in very handy for planning last year's trip. :thumbsup2

Ha! I pressed send before I finished my post - still getting used to my new phone. I edited the other post.

I thought there was more to it than what you posted :rotfl:! I've done that with email attachments. I hit the send button without sending the attachment. Last night I was trying to text DH (which, btw, I very rarely do - texting) and hit the send button b4 I was done.

Now for the bad. My mom has been having abdominal pain looked at. They have said that she has gallstones and needs her gallbladder out:( :( Her appointment with the surgeon is Tuesday so we'll see what happens. Please send us some pixie dust. :(

 Hope everything works out ok and she feels better.

Had to go play nice for awhile :) Now I'm literally stuck in my office since the 8th graders set up their bake sale table smack in front of my door. I wonder how long it will take me to break and buy a cupcake......... :rolleyes1

Oh the temptation!

Ok everyone.....If I mention the Disney Store website again, someone yell at me or something. Must. Stop. Spending. Money. But this order did involve presents for my niece, so that is good. And the cute holiday M&M plushes and a watch for me.

BDLsgal just informed me that ABC Family Channel has released their schedule for the "25 Days of Christmas".

It can be seen HERE

Well we know what you will be watching. :santa:

ETA: Love that they are starting out with Mickey's Once Upon a Christmas.

While I pack last minute things, I will be watching Polar Express.

Just realized Christmas is 2 months from today!!!!!
