I was reading on another board that the new fantasyland won't be open for the December 6th MVMCP due to a private party and that's why there are no reservations for BOG on the 6th either. Was wondering if anyone else heard the same thing and if you were allowed to switch party dates?

I don't have any idea about switching party dates, but BOG ressies are extremely hard to get on a party night because the restaurant closes very early on those nights, probably because of the party itself. It was super tough to get any Dec. ressies at BOG because of that.

the ornaments on the Disney store site are killing me! I love them all! Especially the jewel colored with the paisley prints and rich tones...

Not that you guys need encouragement, but I got an email from The Disney Store this morning that their holiday collections are out! Our family gets new pajamas on Christmas Eve, and they have matching flannel jammies with free personalization for the whole family! I'll be adding that to my cart when I get off work and can get on my laptop.

Ahhh! Have to go check this out

Hi everyone

I haven't had a chance to read all the new posts, but I just wanted to check in with everyone!

So, the good news is that my husband is back (He was on a fishing boat and not scheduled to be back until next week Tuesday)

The BAD news is the reason for his early return - we live in Abaco, Bahamas and we've started having some really windy, rainy weather in the last few days, which will get worse as the week progresses because Tropical Storm Sandy is coming towards us...should be here by Friday or Saturday

Just pray that it goes a bit east of us out to sea!!!

Prating for ya, looks like after it leaves down there it is on track to head right for us ! Eeek!!

I just received an email and VM from Disney confirming that Beast and Belle will NOT be doing a meet and greet in their holiday clothes at MVMCP. Enchanted Tales will be open. She said Belle will be in her red dress closer to Christmas in Epcot. I was on a call and couldn't answer when she called, but it's probably better that way. This stinks.

Super bummed about this!!! I was looking forward to seeing them the most since I accidentally deleted my pics with them at MVMCP in 2010

We are in the 30s ladies and gents!!! 39 days till my car is heading south on 95! It's gettin so close as I'm mounting quite the to do list!!

In other news we are closely watching Hurricane Sandy as she eyes up the east coast. They won't make a prediction on her path until Friday but all the models have her giving us quite a punch with 6-12 inches of rain and 60 mph sustained winds. I hope they are WAY off. But hey at least I'll have time to work on my to do list.

People have been fired for inappropriate things they've said on their personal pages. My husband's a lawyer and its a big issue now in employment law. I know our school teaches kids what is and is not appropriate on social media, and about the future consequences of such things,

That's why I added my parents on Facebook. I figure it'll help me keep my page in check, knowing they can see everything I post.

ACK! Did y'all see the throws for $12 with personlization??! Wouldnt those be great to wrap up in for evening entertainment if its chilly. Awww heck. I'm about to spend money again. After my interview.

Well, if the worst happens, look at it as a good way to get a new roof on your house!

Our town got hammered by a tornado, hailstorm and flood two years ago and by the time it was all done, we had a remodeled basement, new roof and complete exterior update for about $5000. Though it was pretty traumatic at the time- we had to live in just a few rooms for months and it wasn't clear who would would pay for the flooding. And, fortunately, no one in the entire town was hurt. But the house looks great- now!

I did lose all my Disney stuff, though. There was only so much we could clean (flood water is so dirty, and the mud- really, it's just repulsive), and they just weren't high on the list. Make sure your precious things are in a place they won't get damaged, and take care of yourselves, for sure! Good luck & God bless.

The good thing about losing all my little Disney figurines is that it made me think of a new way to countdown to our Disney trip, which I needed to do anyway since the older two are away at college, and thus was born the QueenElinor Family Pre-Invasion Plan! I just sent Vol. 2 out today. It was titled "Air and Land and Sea" and had all the info about our flights, the ME, the YC, and all the resort transportation.

I did. I am so tired too... Last night I fell asleep and found my cell phone at my feet, lights on and all sorts of mixed up... Still tired today. However Work was semi fun today. I was done way early and did extra work.

Hey Wedgie--Tell me again how you dont look at crowd calendars and you still have a wonderful time. I was thinking about some changes last night that would solve my ADR issues, but it goes against the "best park" plans.

I honestly have never looked at a crowd calendar hehe... I think the only time I have avoided a park was because of the MK Xmas Day Parade. If I was going during a super high volume time I would definitely consider it...

Yeah I try to keep as much private on FB as possible - I honestly want to cancel it - but it is the easiest way to keep in touch with a bunch of people all at once for me.

Ugh I feel the same way. I have two - they were great when we were kidless and both working... But now, they leave fur all over the place, wake me more than my kids and are soooo cranky that I had children!! Plus my littlest is showing signs of allergies to them (hives) but I also can't bear to give them up yet unless it becomes medical issue.

Where are u staying?

We're staying ONE night at Royal Pacific. I also joined AAA strictly for Universal side of things. Most of the restaurants on that side give the 10% too and the shops also. We fly in on Dec 8th and are supposed to land at MCO at 10 am. I'm hoping to be in Universal by noon! Hoping our room will be ready too! We have ressies at Mythos at 2:15 and we will be hungry by then as we fly out of STL at 6:40 am!
