Hey Wedgie--Tell me again how you dont look at crowd calendars and you still have a wonderful time. I was thinking about some changes last night that would solve my ADR issues, but it goes against the "best park" plans.

Look at the park numbers rather than the Recommendations. It's impossible to tell from the Recommendations if something is a little better or a lot better (or worse). Plus different people have different tolerances for what is "too crowded".

Ok here is my new plan. Please pick it apart. I obviously didnt list every attraction we will see/do, just the ones I know I want to hit at certain times. I have a meeting at 10:30 that I actually have to pay attention to, so I will be gone for a few minutes.

Sat 12/15
Flight lands at 9:35. Rent Car. Drive to POP and check-in.
Lunch- WPE at DTD
Disney Quest
AK—Open till 7:00. Safari, EE(in the dark), Dinosaur (whatever else that can get done)
Dinner-CS in AK
Go back to POP if tired or to Epcot for Illuminations at 9:30

Breakfast-CS at POP
DHS—TSMM, Star Tours, Indiana Jones
Lunch-CS at DHS or POP
Mini Golf or rest or explore resort (depending on how long we stay at DHS)
Drive to DHS. Bus or boat to Epcot.

Boat to DHS for evening EMH. See Osborne Lights. Enjoy DHS at night.

We tour very differently - I tend to stay in one park all day as I find travelling is time that could be spent on rides/eating etc. You have a very exciting schedule with some fab ADRs

So I opened an envelope from my mortgage company this week and the envelope contained a check. My property taxes had dropped and apparently they had withheld to much for escrow. So not only did my mortgage payment go down by $100/ month. But I have a check for $1900 that I was not expecting. That makes the trip budget a lot less tight.

That happened to me last year so this year I'll probably go up

Looks like a solid plan to me! Only concern is two REALLY late nights back to back with Evening EMH and then MVMCP, but you do have naps/late starts planned in, so you shouldn't crash and burn. Also, how much time do you plan on spending in Disney Quest? Trying to shoe horn that in to your first day along with AK might not give you much time at either.

Other than that, I can't nit pick too much seeing as how my schedule's awfully similar. We're heading for HS on the 19th too, we've got Epcot on the 20th as well, and resort hopping on the 21st before a resort ADR too. Everyone on this roll call must be psychic (or use the same touring plan websites)!

I was reading on another board that the new fantasyland won't be open for the December 6th MVMCP due to a private party and that's why there are no reservations for BOG on the 6th either. Was wondering if anyone else heard the same thing and if you were allowed to switch party dates?

Hi everyone

I haven't had a chance to read all the new posts, but I just wanted to check in with everyone!

So, the good news is that my husband is back (He was on a fishing boat and not scheduled to be back until next week Tuesday)

The BAD news is the reason for his early return - we live in Abaco, Bahamas and we've started having some really windy, rainy weather in the last few days, which will get worse as the week progresses because Tropical Storm Sandy is coming towards us...should be here by Friday or Saturday

Just pray that it goes a bit east of us out to sea!!!

Not that you guys need encouragement, but I got an email from The Disney Store this morning that their holiday collections are out! Our family gets new pajamas on Christmas Eve, and they have matching flannel jammies with free personalization for the whole family! I'll be adding that to my cart when I get off work and can get on my laptop.

Aww, how cute is that? When the kids were little I really wanted to do that, but DH and I would look pretty dorkus in high-water jammies, and now the kids would look dorkus, too. We are restricted to tall & custom altered stuff. And the boys are so skinny, my mathematically-inclined DS20 texted me the other day to tell me his BMI was hovering between "North Korean" and "Ethiopian" on the world-wide scale of BMIs.

So I can very rarely buy anything cute for anyone. The nice thing is, it is really good for the pocketbook! Well, right up until you have to buy stuff from J Crew, that is!

We meet again! I love BSG. I watch it start to finish once a year. I was super excited to have seen Starbuck this fall in Atlanta. And now that you mention it...I might need a new ringtone I'm still sulking that there's no Olmos at the CP this year.

Was there an EJO CP?!?! I'm kind of glad there isn't this year, I'd be very sulky if I missed it. The closest I have ever been to BSG fame is when there was a museum exhibit of costumes here and Athena's Raptor pilot outfit was there. (Along with Luke Sywalker's orange pilot suit and Obi Wan's Jedi outfit but who cares about them? LOL!) Actually, the thought & art (and mythology) behind all of those was pretty awesome.

People have been fired for inappropriate things they've said on their personal pages. My husband's a lawyer and its a big issue now in employment law. I know our school teaches kids what is and is not appropriate on social media, and about the future consequences of such things,

I'm on the board of a small non-profit and we just approved an entire policy on social media. Non that I think our staff would ever do anything intentionally stupid, but sometimes people just don't realize how things look- or who can see (which is basically EVERYBODY) and what they might think. Kids are like that, too.

I just received an email and VM from Disney confirming that Beast and Belle will NOT be doing a meet and greet in their holiday clothes at MVMCP. Enchanted Tales will be open. She said Belle will be in her red dress closer to Christmas in Epcot. I was on a call and couldn't answer when she called, but it's probably better that way. This stinks.

We have yet to manage swimming so the Clown pool is definitely on DS's agenda.

Yikes!! Stay safe! That looks like it could be a nasty storm blowing through. Glad your husband is back, safe and sound.

From what I could tell, he's done it several years in the past. Usually even the Christmas eve/day CP. Last year he was earlier in the month. Many reported his performance was very moving. Oh well...there's always next year!
