Oh I think for Whoopi you would need a package!!! And with Biergarten, hopefully you will be seated with a fun group and you will have a meal not eating solo. (I typed 'eating alone' first, but that seemed so sad). :lmao: I think my next trip will be a solo one, so I loved reading your TR!!!

I was shocked that there are quite a few options still open for CP packages for Whoopi on 11/30, both on lunch and dinner!! I have eaten at Biergarten before, and enjoyed it, so I wasn't too bummed about deciding to eat there versus Coral Reef. Though I reserve the right to change it later on! :rotfl: And I am the kind of person that is fine eating alone, but will certainly join in if I get to sit with a fun group :thumbsup2

So I went over to touringplans.com with great anticipation because they had added a feature where one could incorporate a FP runner into the touring plan. From what I can tell, all it does is add the words "Using a FastPass runner, remaining party skips this step." In green.

But, despite what it claims to do, it still adds in the time it takes for the FP runner. I've tried it several different ways and it just doesn't work.

For instance, selected an FP for TSM when the park opens, then RnR. It showed my FP collection at 9:05 and RnR at 9:13.

Fail.

Someone please tell me I'm just doing this wrong!

Same experience here. Maybe someone more savvy can help us

I ordered a cookbook when I ordered my camera and it came yesterday. DH kinda looked at me, like why did you order that. I said I was going to tell you I want it for Christmas, but I knew you would never remember it so I just bought it. He was okay with that. :thumbsup2
SOOO how we roll here! :rotfl2: reminds me, my DH's birthday is the 2nd of Nov...:scared1: I've been so consumed with being sick and disney I have NOTHING!

So, I've been going back and forth on whether or not to do a CP dinner package, and finally decided that since I've never done it before, I will! I just booked one for 11/30 for the 5pm show. It's actually a Lunch instead of Dinner, but that's fine with me since it's cheaper :thumbsup2 I was going to go with Coral Reef, but it's $20 less for Biergarten, so I went with that instead. It's funny, for solo trips I go cheap, but if I'm with someone I'll go for the more expensive option. :rotfl2: And now I'm excited to get to hear Whoopi Goldberg!
awesome!

I don't get it either. I was overweight in school and got made fun of plenty, but it was not so bad. Kids also being so connected with texting, social networking etc etc etc makes it so hard to get away from. One of my goals as a relatively new parent is to try and make sure my kids have a good moral compass because these things break my heart. I know its not all me, but I also want them to know there will be consequences if they every are so unkind to people.
Girls have always been mean. I was terriblely bullied and picked on through middle and high school. I had a strong sense of self, thankfully, but it was awful. being fat, poor and shy was a terrible combination. It wasnt until college that I found my own. as the mom of 2 girls, we started before birth building confidence, and pointing out social injustices. My girls are well adjusted, and they stand up for each other, and others. My 11 year old is way wiser than I was. She has a great attitude about others, kind, compassionate and giving. And if someone doesnt like her, tough cookies - her response is "mom, they dont know what they are missing out on" I love it. She knows who she is, and that Jesus loves her and she can rise above. I wish I had had that confidence when I was her age. She was telling me about befriending a girl at school b/c she looked lonely, and told me that people "have no idea what other kids go through" and should "think before they are mean". I hope it holds through JHS and HS!

We had our first "frenemy" last year, I saw it coming. This girl was all nice when she wanted something then would turn on a dime and be mean, snarky and just down right nasty. I didnt say anything, but after the 2nd time the girl turned on her, it was time to invite for a sleep over for my DD's birthday - and she said mom, I dont want to invite so and so. She's not the kind of friend I need. I'm still nice to her, but she has treated me and another good friend pretty badly, I'm not ok with that. She weathered that first BFF type break up pretty good I thought.

That's pretty awesome! DBF is like that too - he'd rather me pick it and him buy it than attempt to remember what I wanted, the size, the color and then get it wrong... but he's the same way! He's soooo hard to shop for because if he wants it, he buys it... so yea, for a while, I didn't like the whole, "just tell me what you want" idea but now, I realize it's not so bad...

I have the same problem with him. If he wants it he buys it. I did get him a few things last Christmas that he loved and wasn't expecting. This year my Christmas present is our trip to Disney. I'll get him a few things while we're there.

I think it assumes FP runners will still do all the other attractions with the rest of the party. In that case, this new function has fairly limited utility. In our family, the FP volunteers just don't want to do the next ride, or they eat faster than other people and so can go get the FPs. This program doesn't allow for that.

I'm pretty sure the answer to this question is going to be yes, but I feel more comfortable knowing for sure. My mom and I were wondering if there are any ATMs available at the resorts and in the parks.

All over the place. Every resort has them in the lobby area. I know at Epcot, they have them at International Gateway, at the main entrance outside the front gate to the left near the restrooms, and along the walkway between Future World and World Showcase. :thumbsup2

:scared1: it just occurred to me that I have not been to the disney website to check or tweak ADRs or anything today. quick somebody hand me a thermometer :eek:

I hadn't either, so I just went over to look at my ADRs. Just to make sure the site didnt miss me. :goodvibes

That's great :) girls have always been mean, and not all grow out of it. It so great that your girls have such self confidence. It's so important but also that they are balanced with being thoughtful and caring ;)

I just made some hot chocolate at work. Is it wrong if I pretend to be at MVMCP?:santa:

Hahahaha nope :) however your co workers might be a little confused if you start calling them "Dopey, Sleepy, Bashful..." Etc while they are standing around the water cooler.... Hehe or when you hand your phone off to have you picture taken by PP :)

LOL. I have been grumpy today and a coworker is sad (I know not a dwarf name). I was telling another coworker this and said he was going to have to be Happy today. He just laughed at me, but at least he got it. He lives in CO and took his kids to DL last week.

Ok so now I am quoting myself. :confused3
I really did go over to look at my ADRs. I now have 10 ADRs for 7 TS credits!!! :scared1: And I am not happy with some of them. I have the new Sanaa reservation for 11:35 on the same day that I had dinner at Tutto at 5:30. Tutto has no decent availability on my other days, so I cant move it and it was one of DH's few choices. Not too close together I guess, but not what I would have picked at 180 days. And if DH doesnt like Sanaa, he will know he has lasagna to look forward to. I still have the WCC reservation on the same night as the dessert party. I think I might cancel that one and eat CS at POP food court before we go to MK. I will just have to make DH go to WL at some point so I can see it.

Ok I feel better now. :lmao:

:rotfl2: Anyone else think of Crush when reading that?

Crush is totally my kind of dude :smokin:

It's aweful how mean girls can be!!!:furious:

Interestingly enough, my 9 year old was crying herself to sleep the other night because some girls were mean to her and she said that she can't wait to get to Disney so she can get away from all the mean, fake girls.

Just breaks my heart:sad:

Mine too. Like I told my husband the other night, brace yourself, its gonna be a rough ride :(

I'm just joining this thread (just joined the Facebook group, too)! So much to read through!

We have 60 days to go. Here are our plans so far:

12/22-Arrive midday sometime. Spend the afternoon at AK, head to DTD, and eat at EOS.

12/23-Breakfast ADR at Chef Mickey's, spend the day at MK, dinner ADR at Liberty Tree.

12/24-Epcot, dinner ADR at Via Napoli

12/25-open day (not sure shared might do). Dinner ADR at Boma (had originally made ADR at Liberty Tree, but decided I didn't want the stress of MK on Christmas)

12/26-HS, lunch ADR at Teppan Edo, and back to HS for nighttime.

12/27-Will either spend a couple hours at one of the parks or go to DTD before we leave.

We know it's going to be crowded, but we're just going to have fun!

Welcome! Thanks for sharing your plans, you have some great ADRs!

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: Thats so YOU and why I love ya .... go online to buy a camera and somehow a cookbook turns up aswell :thumbsup2

I just made some hot chocolate at work. Is it wrong if I pretend to be at MVMCP?:santa:

Only if you walk up to colleagues, stand next to them and smile for the camera, then ask them for their autograph ;)

I just ran through mine. 11 ADRs for 17 credits. We decided to do the DxDP and splurge on Signature restaurants. We figure we'll be eating leftovers for breakfast.

I'm debating making some, "just in case" ADRs at locations that are easily cancelled. I want to be spontaneous, but I also want to eat, LOL! I'd really like to do breakfast at Boma, but only if we are then going to AK. I had no problems last year getting a last minute ADR for Boma at breakfast though, so maybe I'll just wait. Argh.

I know my mom really wants to eat at Sci-Fi too, so maybe I'll make two - one for when I think we'll be there and then a backup, and if we go the first time I'll cancel the second one? Blergh. Overthinking. Or am I?

AMEN! I have some toxic women still around me. ugh.

Dont ask me. I constantly change mine. And while were debating on which day would be a down day I had both days booked like we were doing either :confused3:rotfl2:
