Sorry but this had me laughing. I'm thinking "WOW, she must have really strong arms now!" then I realised that you didn't mean logging in the cutting down trees sense :scratchin Congrats on the loss, thats awesome!

HAHAHAHAH :rotfl2: no logging my exercise and my intake on fitness pal

Logging trees would probably be more effective, though!

I started Weight Watchers right after the 4th of July. I love it, it's the 1st program that's helped me lose weight. I totally credit the logging & measuring. I've lost 19 total so far. 5 more to hit my goal weight!

Sunnysideup3 I just noticed you are from Wawatosa! We are in Delafield and our nurse traveling with us is from Wawatosa! What dates are you going?

YAY! Fellow Wisconsinites :) :cool1:

We will be there November 29th-December 8th!! When are you going to be there?

Always willing to help ... whether you consider it help is another question :p

I think we are set now. The hotels changed things since we are now walking distance to Epcot and HS which was a plus since we have a wheelchair along. We are fans of HS so like 2 days there. We have 10-day hoppers and are there the 3-13 with the 12th being my daughters 14th birthday. She has some delays so she is mor like taking a 4-5 year old to the parks so our focus is more like one with younger kids then teens. That said, last time we went she nearly killed me by riding RnRC 5x straight without getting off in the front seat! I had to sit the next hour trying to regain my bearings :rotfl2:

I don't like going to the parks on the day we fly out, but plan to go the evening we arrive (we land at MCO at 1pm). I figure ME will pick us up at 1 on our final day so after packing, checking out, and grabbing lunch we won't have much time anyway. ADRs are few this trip. We have breakfast at H&V on the 12th for my daughters birthday and O'Hana at 6:45 on the 9th. We want to catch Wishes at least one evening along with the MSEP and Fantasmic, and illuminations. Am I asking too much? I keep trying to plan it out but with the opening of Fantasyland thrown in I can't figure best time to go to MK.

Any ideas? I know I'm asking a lot:) but you guys seem to have this scheduling stuff figured out. Usually we just wake up and decide, but I think my daughter would do better knowing what to expect ahead of time.

Thanks!

For the amount of time you are going, I dont think you are asking too much at all. We are going for 6nights/7 days and I have scheduled in MSEP, MVMCP, Fantasmic and Illuminations.

MK is best during the week, weekends are normally busy with locals. So I think what you need to do is list your days, decide which park which day and then your priorities for that park.

Is there a reason why you don't have that many ADRs? If you are ok with CS you'll be fine, but if you want to have a TS and use that as some rest time (thats what we do) you might want to book a few more. I choose my park, then choose restaurant.

Hope that gets you started :) And always pop back with any more questions - thats what we're here for :thumbsup2

ETA - For instance, my schedule is:
Fri 7th arrive midday - Epcot in evening for Candlelight Processional & Illuminations (its emh so grab a few rides too) ADRS: Via Napoli
Sat 8th - MK see MSEP & Wishes, I'm going against the grain here because it will be crowded but we like to do MK on our first full day ADRS: CRT breakfast Be Our Guest Dinner
Sun 9th - HS see Fantasmic & Osbourne Lights (evening emh) ADRS: 50's Prime Time lunch Hollywood Brown Derby Dinner
Mon 10th - Epcot full day ADRS: Biergarten lunch Rose & Crown dinner
Tues 11th - MK full day with MVMCP in evening see Christmas Parade ADRS: Liberty Tree Tavern lunch Crystal Palace dinner
Weds 12th - AK day DTD evening for La Nouba ADRS Tusker House lunch T-Rex dinner

Marking my spot ...

We are staying in the Cabins at Ft. Wilderness, saw my name on the 2nd post but not our resort.

Ok I have to rearrange our trip schedule. Found out yesterday, DD has a Christmas Parade to march in for Dance Team on the 8th at noon. BTW Dance is going to break me.

So instead of leaving the afternoon of the 7th, driving half way and arriving on the 8th (staying off site the 8th and 9th), we will now be leaving the afternoon of the 8th and getting into Orlando late afternoon on the 9th. Starting Disney on the 10th. So I now have to cancel our hotel reservations for the 8th and 9th and reschedule everything.

Hubby is happy because now since we have no free days, he has an excuse not to go to his sisters.

So much to do between now and then.

I think I'm on a roll and everything is done but let me go through a checklist

  • Hotel booked for night before (12/6), to break up journey.
  • Resort booked. POR Royal Guest Room. Requests: Oak Manor, Garden View, room with roll-in shower for Mum.
  • Park Tix & Deluxe Dining Plan
  • Photopass Plus ordered & received - have coupon to trade in for PP+ card when we arrive
  • MVMCP tix ordered & received
  • La Nouba tix ordered & received
  • All ADRs secured, none outstanding
  • Park days figured: 12/7 DTD & Epcot (emh); 12/8 MK; 12/9 HS (emh); 12/10 Epcot; 12/11 MK & MVMCP; 12/12 AK & La Nouba
  • Excitement: Engaged
  • Packing - Meh, day before we leave :thumbsup2

Is there anything I have forgotten?? Surely not. Ooh, ooh! Don't let me forget to get an anniversary card for my parents before we leave - its their 42nd anniversary on the 12th, I can get a gift there.

We have a very similar schedule:
We leave 12/6 - stop in Jax, Fl - Female passenger gets very
grumpy after 6 hours in car :rotfl: DH would drive straight thru.
12/7 Pick up DD, DSIL & DGD at MCO 12:20 AM - stay at airport hotel
12/8 Check in POR - Requested 2 rooms in Bldg 17 AB - might change (?)
Wait for DS & DDIL to arrive from St. Pete, Fl (just for weekend)
12/9 HS
12/10 - Check in BLT (DH's Birthday)
12/11: MK, MVMCP; 12/12: Epcot; 12/13: AK
12/12-12/15 - Leisure days - planning on going house hunting in case we
are able to sell our house
12/16 - Start the drive home (my birthday)

Congrats on part3! Question: if you were to see only one at DHS, would you pick the beauty and the beast stage show or the little mermaid show?

My pick would be B&B, it never gets old, no matter how many times I see it.

HAHA...sounds like us. DH's piece-of-work cousin lives in Orlando and our excuse last year was that we didn't have a car so if she really wanted to see us, she had to come to us. She doesn't really keep in touch with the fam much, so that was going to be our excuse this year as well, but we found out they moved to Colorado..... WHEW:cheer2:

That's when I plan to upgrade us to the DxDDP as well! Yay for it being official! :rotfl2:

How much is the upgrade, just curious, we have free dining and the cabins have a kitchen. But not having to worry about any meals at all would be wonderful.

LOL thats why we're stopping overnight even though we're only in GA :rotfl:

I can't remember, we had free dining too (We got a pin back in February) but I think we payed $1k for 5 adults (for 6nights/7days) so $200 per person.

Hey, my mom took me to WDW when I was 26 and newly married! My little brother was 11 at the time and I really think she needed me as a buffer. :). I don't think I paid for a thing and I left my husband at home :).

My 21st Birthday and Christmas presents was a Christmas trip to Disney World. That trip convinced me that even though I love Disney at Christmas, you will never ever get me to go to MK on Christmas Day ever again. It was worse than Mardi Gras.

We gave up ADRs/"free dining" (not so free in our case) to stay at Boardwalk with a room-only discount. My daughter is also on TPN (IV nutrition) so paying adult prices for her to not eat is a lot of money wasted. I realize if we didn't do character meals or buffets maybe we would not get charged for her, but she would get antsy sitting there waiting for us to eat. I also get tired of all the looks from others when you appear to not be feeding your child I'm not thrilled with all counter service, but I think we can come up with enough variety (I hope).

Well hubby is being a grumpy scrooge and doesnt want to wear the ADOrAbLe christmas shirts I found on etsy for pictures. boo.

then I said "I need to go to Gulfport."

Why, he says?

Well, I read on the DIS (THE DIS MADE ME DO IT) that some people found great deals at the Disney Outlet, and I know we dont have one here, but there IS one in gulfport... (its 3 hours from us)

Every great now and again we go to the MS Coast to eat Crab at one of the casinos. He said make it happen.

So scrooge might just get a matchy shirt after all ;)

:rotfl2: the kids are out of school next Thurs and Fri for fall break (we dont get Columbus day, for some reason, and the district scheduled the break AFTER the 153 St Fair (poor planning if you ask me) ) so maybe next weekend we can go shopping on the coast. :cool1:

That is what DH is going to tell her. We will have a car but we have no free days and if she wants to see us, she needs to come to us.
