Hello everyone! We will be at Disney for Christmas this year. I am officially listed on the roll call list, arriving on the 13th of December. I may have posted in the 1st part of this thread, but I have been busy since then with family matters, teaching,organizing and planning another vacation etc. Now I am back in full blown Disney planning mode. I can't believe that when I post this, my ticker will be less than 2 months!!!

Originally we were booked at ASMo with a FD pin for a two weeks. I will never know what possessed me to save a couple of dollars and NOT book AoA - LM section At first I tried to be excited about ASMo, but I couldn't stop thinking about what a fool I have been, especially since with the pin, FD was actually available with AoA as well, whereas with the general public FD offer, it was not offered. So, I have tried to change my reservation once already. Of course AoA LM section was all booked up for our two weeks right over Christmas...not that I was shocked over this news! Yesterday I was bored, checked availability at AoA and the LM rooms showed up! So I called just to check if I could change resorts and to make a long story short, I was able to switch using my pin!!!

So, now we are spending 2 weeks at Christmas at AoA!!!

I booked using the free dining pin as well and it was letting me price the AOA-LM rooms with the discount but then I called to ask a question and a CM told me the LM rooms were not included, so I booked at Pop. I saw your post so I called and tried to switch but the CM told me that LM rooms have never been included in any of the special offers. Did you use the pin offer that was mailed out with dates ending 12/13/12 or did you use a different pin offer? Thanks for your help!!

We're paid in full!

Abby and I three-way called our TA last night, and each gave our CC info. It suddenly seems so real!

I think we've got everything paid, but remind me if I'm missing something: Disney package (hotel, meals, park passes), PP+, Seas Aqua Tour, Cirque du Soleil, MVMCP, airfare.

I'm budgeting for the following: tips (Mousekeeping and meals), and any shopping we do while we're there.

I got a ton of extra hours at work this week due to the circus being in town at the Q (I'll be seeing the circus ten times in 6 days - thankfully I'm on fall break from school this week). So, now that the trip is paid off and I have some extra, unexpected cash, I thought I'd splurge with one thing. I'm really liking the 2012 park sweatshirt, but I don't know if I'll want to wear something that says 2012 after the year is over...

Yeah! Don't forget to budget $$$ for any alcohol you might want. I know you talked about drinking around the world

We'll be at DHS all day on 12/2 (except for when we hop over the Beaches & Cream for lunch). Just look for the 6'4" guy w/ bleach blond hair and his 5'3" wife. LOL

We'll be at DHS on 12/2 as well! I am a 6' tall woman with flats, so I am not hard to miss

Not the OP obviously, but I haven't been able to price LM rooms using any codes at all-no CM discounts or the special offers on the Disney website. I don't have a free dining pin, but I would assume it isn't included.

This is us also! well, not the blond part or height for that matter... LOL

But we'll be at DHS all day on 12/2 with a break for lunch/dinner at ESPN zone for Sunday football... I'm hoping we'll either catch the Saints (for me) or the Texans (for him)...

Almost everybody will be at DHS on 12/2. That means DW and I should have AK all to ourselves.

DH refuses to discuss Disney plans. "Just tell me where to go."

Sounds just like my mom! She's letting me do all the planning. I'm more excited about going and the planning than DH, DS10 or my mom and brother. I think it's b/c of DS. The last time we went DS was 4 and couldn't go on most of the rides due to his height. Even though he doesn't remember too much of his last trip, the one thing he has remembered is saying he couldn't wait until he was tall enough to go on all the rides next time. That time has finally arrived and DS can't wait!

I love the concept but "Limited Time Magic" just sounds so weird. Like an infomercial.

May I join?
We are a family of five- DH, DS20, DD18, DS14 and me.
We're flying in from chilly Montana (well, DS is flying in from slightly-less-chilly Colorado and DD from practically-tropical-California). It's a special trip just because the two older kids are in college now and far away from home. We just have had so many great vacays at Disney that it really seemed like the place to go for what might be our last big family trip for the forseeable future.

Sob.....

Okay, I've regained my composure a bit....

So I plan to really do this one up right! We're staying at the YC from Dec. 13-19 (they insisted we be home for Christmas).

I have ressies for the CP, EPCOT Dive Quest, and scored Be Our Guest (that was an epic feat of determined motherhood, for sure!). Actually, I'm the Belle fan, they couldn't care less about where we eat.

Really looking forward to the Osborne lights, and decorations in general as we've not been during the Holidays before!!!

I'm a touring commando, but I think I'll need dual plans so the kids can stay up as late as their little hearts desire and sleep in if they want. So staying on -site is going to be awesome since they can look after themselves (at Disney, anyway ) if they don't want to hang with mom & dad. We have dinner scheduled for just the two of us at the Yachtsman.

Today I had a bit of a panic because my master packing list was nowhere to be found. It's a finely-tuned list of which I save different versions depending on where we're going, and it's taken me a dozen years to refine it. I had just mislabeled it "Hawaii" because that's where we went last June. Whew! Now on to the fun stuff!

She laughed, and said "Psh, we both know how we act together. The entire trip will be a date." She then blushed, and had one of the biggest smiles I've ever seen.

My husband promised her when she was 7 and my ds was 4(pregnant with him at Disneyland) we would got to Disney World! That time has now come and we couldn't be more excited! We are staying at Shades of Green. Not planning any character meals as we have a deal for breakfast and dinner at Shades! And for lunch we will probably do a QS meal at whichever park we are at! So excited we cannot wait!

Welcome! Friends of ours are also staying at SoG. They're checking in on 12/5 but I don't know how long they are staying. Originally it was until the 15th but now they are arriving a day early.

HI, everyone! I have the ddp and now relaxing how much food it is, lol its okay though my kids r picky eaters and get hungry at night. Where is everyone dining at? I pretty much have everything I want, just would love to switch to chef mickey breakfst but cant score it so I have it for dinner.
Also people attending mvmcp, where is everyone eating? I do have cape may at 4:30, but might just skip that and do cape may after hs after fantasmic, and just do a qs or crystal palace at mk on mvmcp, all this dining gets me confused, it has been since April

Dude... I hope you get everything you want out of your trip. You go down with a friend and come back with a girlfriend, congrats. You go down with a friend and come back with still, just a friend, that's cool too.

But you keep making posts like this, and everyone on this thread that has a romantic bone in their body, is going to be on the look out for you 2 down there and try to arrange a Sebastian "Kiss the girl" scene.

I'm not one to talk. I went down with a girlfriend, and came back with a fiance'. Didn't plan on it til the night before we left and it just sorta hit me.

However things work out, just make sure you have fun.

PS: I wouldn't give out too much info about where you'll be staying. Some of the more creative DIS-ers here, might arrange for your 2 bed room, to become a king size bed room.
