HI, everyone! I have the ddp and now relaxing how much food it is, lol its okay though my kids r picky eaters and get hungry at night. Where is everyone dining at? I pretty much have everything I want, just would love to switch to chef mickey breakfst but cant score it so I have it for dinner.
Also people attending mvmcp, where is everyone eating? I do have cape may at 4:30, but might just skip that and do cape may after hs after fantasmic, and just do a qs or crystal palace at mk on mvmcp, all this dining gets me confused, it has been since April

I wouldn't recommend doing a TS during MVMCP, as it takes a lot of time out of the short time you have to enjoy the party. Last time I just grabbed a quick dinner at Cosmic Rays so I could get back to meeting the characters and enjoying the party!

Oh, and in case you don't know: While the "official" start time for MVMCP is 7pm, CMs start letting people in for the party at 4pm. So I would cancel the Cape May so you can get there early and start enjoying MK before the party starts.

We'll be at DHS all day on 12/2 (except for when we hop over the Beaches & Cream for lunch). Just look for the 6'4" guy w/ bleach blond hair and his 5'3" wife. LOL :thumbsup2

I'll keep an eye out for you.

I feel like I'll be missing out on the fun! I'm going to be in MK all day on 12/2 (regular park day then MVMCP that night). Hope all of you at DHS have a fun day there!

Thanks! I'll be thinking of you! Btw, I love your user name!

This is us also! well, not the blond part or height for that matter... LOL

But we'll be at DHS all day on 12/2 with a break for lunch/dinner at ESPN zone for Sunday football... I'm hoping we'll either catch the Saints (for me) or the Texans (for him)...

:rotfl:

When I told DH that there are at least 3 of us on this thread going to DHS the same day, he asked if we are going to have a DIS meet. I wouldn't mind it, but we do have my mom and brother along and I know they wouldn't be interested. Unless they could go off on their own for a bit while we have a DIS meet :scratchin

What to you think? Can we pull it off?

I agree. We're going to eat before we go to MK and then just snack during the party

OK a couple of weeks ago I came home and my cat was sitting on my laptop, had opened ITunes and the song Witchy Woman was playing. Think he was trying to tell me something?

Hilarious!

I will be doing crystal palace, at 4, were fast eaters so we should be done early, and then maybe do a ride or two and get in line for the 7 drawfs!

Has anyone done after 6:30 fantasmic show dinner someplace different than hs, I have cape may at 8:30 and I do know its really close ,

Anyone who attended a mvmcp, is it fast pace? Can you get everything done

December 23
Arriving early afternoonish at the Boardwalk and dropping off luggage. Headed to DTD to shop and eat lunch, if there in time, or dinner if later. Head back to Boardwalk to check-in if havent already and hanging out on the boardwalk, dinner or snack, swim a little maybe, early bed.

December 24
(Not getting Hoppers) First bus to MK for EMH doing what we can (Speedway, Splash Mountain, Big Thunder Mountain, Pirates, Haunted Mansion (our musts for the day), fastpasses for those we can't get to and anything else that becomes available. If we ride nothing else than those rides above, we will be happy. Rest of the day, just stroll, grab fastpasses if we see one that fits with our schedule, watch parades (which we never do because we are always trying to get in as many rides as possible), go in shops and really take in everything that we usually miss. Fireworks at night. No ADRS and are bringing own snacks but will probably have at least one CS meal at an off time. Right now, we plan on staying all day for fear of not being able to get back in. My boys are 13 and 16 so they can handle that.

December 25
First bus to DHS to do Toy Story Mania and grab a FP then head to RNRC and ToT. Again, our musts. Rest of the day, again see shows we normally don't see, grab fastpasses for other things if we decide to do them and they fit with what we are doing where we are. CS for lunch at an off time, ADR for SciFi Diner (asked kids where they wanted Christmas dinner, and this is where they picked!! They love it!!) This will be our first trip back to DHS since 2001. Osbourne Lights. Although we have been to MK and Epcot several times since then.

December 26 - 28
One day, we plan to do the monorail resorts, and also WL, BYC and AKL and maybe walk to Swan and Dolphin to check out decorations...rest of the time, hang out at BW, swim, etc.

Another day, if the weather permits, go to Wet and Wild water park.

Another day, completely open right now, maybe back to DTD for more shopping if want, I wouldnt mind checking out the new AoA hotel, or maybe even head to Cocoa Beach.

Like I said, we have a few more days then we typically get to spend in Orlando because we usually just fit in a day before or after a cruise, but this time if all about the CHRISTMAS DECORATIONS. I hope that even with the chaos of the crowds, our slowed down version of Disney with less feeling like we have to rush to get all the rides in, will make it for a great excperience.

Please let me know what you think.....

I love your plan and think it should work just fine! If you aren't having unrealistic expectations I think that is more than half the battle!

May I join?
We are a family of five- DH, DS20, DD18, DS14 and me.
We're flying in from chilly Montana (well, DS is flying in from slightly-less-chilly Colorado and DD from practically-tropical-California). It's a special trip just because the two older kids are in college now and far away from home. We just have had so many great vacays at Disney that it really seemed like the place to go for what might be our last big family trip for the forseeable future.

Sob.....

Okay, I've regained my composure a bit....

So I plan to really do this one up right! We're staying at the YC from Dec. 13-19 (they insisted we be home for Christmas).

I have ressies for the CP, EPCOT Dive Quest, and scored Be Our Guest (that was an epic feat of determined motherhood, for sure!). Actually, I'm the Belle fan, they couldn't care less about where we eat.

Really looking forward to the Osborne lights, and decorations in general as we've not been during the Holidays before!!!

I'm a touring commando, but I think I'll need dual plans so the kids can stay up as late as their little hearts desire and sleep in if they want. So staying on -site is going to be awesome since they can look after themselves (at Disney, anyway :rotfl:) if they don't want to hang with mom & dad. We have dinner scheduled for just the two of us at the Yachtsman. :flower3:

Today I had a bit of a panic because my master packing list was nowhere to be found. It's a finely-tuned list of which I save different versions depending on where we're going, and it's taken me a dozen years to refine it. I had just mislabeled it "Hawaii" because that's where we went last June. Whew! Now on to the fun stuff!

Pleased to meet you all and looking forward to sharing some great plans!:wave2:

Reading your plan almost makes me wish we were taking the 21 and 22 yo but they are working and still in college so they couldn't have gone anyway :(

Also people attending mvmcp,

Attending MVMCP on the 6th.

where is everyone eating?

Well since you asked.

12/2. Lunch: Rainforest Cafe-Ak
12/3. Hard Rock Cafe (Over at the dark side.)
12/4. Dinner: 50's PTC
12/5. Pastamore (Dark side again)
12/6. No reservations for this day. Going to MVMCP. Probably head downtown to try Earl of Sandwich, before going to the Christmas Party.
12/7. Breakfast: CRT. Dinner: Shula's Steakhouse
12/8. Lunch: CPDP-Le Cellier
12/9. No plans yet. Headed to Sea World.
12/10. Margaritaville (Dark side one last time before switching to CBR)
12/11. Dinner: Yatchman's Steakhouse
12/12. Lunch: T-Rex. Dinner/Snack: Wishes Dessert Party
12/13. Dinner: Cape May Cafe
12/14. Dinner: Garden Grill

Thanks! I'll be thinking of you! Btw, I love your user name!

Thanks! Without getting too dark, my dog's name is Phoenix and it's kind of after him. When I first started using that username for sites in 2006 (before I signed up for Dis even) it was because Phoenix gave me the strength (along with a great friend) to keep going in life after finally getting out of a 4.5 year long abusive relationship. Having to get up to care for him kept me going.

Anyway, less serious things. I'm going back and forth between getting PP or PP+. I don't know how much I'll want the ride pics, as I've never ordered one before but it would be cool to have them. If I manage to get an ADR for CRT or Akershus I will definitely get PP+, but if not I'm just not sure. :confused3

Hi Everyone! My family is taking there first trip to Disney World Dec. 8-13! We went to Disneyland 4 years ago when my dd was 4. My husband promised her when she was 7 and my ds was 4(pregnant with him at Disneyland) we would got to Disney World! That time has now come and we couldn't be more excited! We are staying at Shades of Green. Not planning any character meals as we have a deal for breakfast and dinner at Shades! And for lunch we will probably do a QS meal at whichever park we are at! So excited we cannot wait!

Welcome to the group! We love new people!

Everything, probably not, but you can get a lot done. I got in line for 7 Dwarfs right away, was 3rd in line, then ran from character to character and got almost every single one done while also catching the parade and Holiday Wishes. Granted I was alone and with kids it will be slightly more difficult, but I would look once the parties start for the actual list of characters that are appearing and list them in order of importance to you so you get those done and then the rest will be bonus!

Finally have caught up on most of the 3 threads and finally getting excited. Not sure what the deal was with this trip but didn't have the spark as previous trips have. AND this is a wild trip WDW and DL in one day and NO KIDS OR HUSBANDS.:thumbsup2

But it has finally hit and already thinking about the next trip. I think a lot has to do with the less planning that I do when it is just a girls trip vs. family trip.

Anyway, can't wait to get this coast to coast trip started.

What time did you get in line for 7 dwarfs? I guess you missed the castle lighting or were you able to watch that? Those are the two things I really want from MVMCP

~5PM. When I went (2010) the 7 Dwarfs were meeting by the old Skyway building in Fantasyland, so I could see the castle from there.

I should say that while I was 3rd in line, I was not 3rd to see the Dwarfs. Only 6 came out at first (Doc was delayed), and they tried to force us to start without him. Most of us refused as we wanted all 7, so they let those that were okay with only getting 6 go around us. About 5 minutes in Doc came out and the CM tried to tell those of us that had been waiting for him to show up that we had to let the entire line pass before we could get the pics. We told them no way, we had been waiting for over 2 hours and weren't waiting longer because they ran late. A manager passing by heard us and told them to let us go right away. :thumbsup2

You got SOTMK cards at the DisneyStore? Or on eBay?

I really want to get DS a booster pack and one of the power-up t-shirts but I refuse to pay scalper prices on eBay.

Nah.. I just bought them on Ebay. My DS is not into too many Disney characters or interactions but I know he'll love SOTMK so it's worth it for me since it's something he will love. I'm hoping to get the game boards too so he can get to play it at home. The new shirt is so cool too,I hope to put it in his goodie bag too.

Hello everyone! We will be at Disney for Christmas this year. I am officially listed on the roll call list, arriving on the 13th of December. I may have posted in the 1st part of this thread, but I have been busy since then with family matters, teaching, organizing and planning another vacation etc. Now I am back in full blown Disney planning mode. I can't believe that when I post this, my ticker will be less than 2 months!!!:cool1:

Originally we were booked at ASMo with a FD pin for a two weeks. I will never know what possessed me to save a couple of dollars and NOT book AoA - LM section:confused: At first I tried to be excited about ASMo, but I couldn't stop thinking about what a fool I have been, especially since with the pin, FD was actually available with AoA as well, whereas with the general public FD offer, it was not offered. So, I have tried to change my reservation once already. Of course AoA LM section was all booked up for our two weeks right over Christmas...not that I was shocked over this news! Yesterday I was bored, checked availability at AoA and the LM rooms showed up! So I called just to check if I could change resorts and to make a long story short, I was able to switch using my pin!!!

So, now we are spending 2 weeks at Christmas at AoA!!!

ONLY 59 MORE DAYS:banana:

I booked using the free dining pin as well and it was letting me price the AOA-LM rooms with the discount but then I called to ask a question and a CM told me the LM rooms were not included, so I booked at Pop. I saw your post so I called and tried to switch but the CM told me that LM rooms have never been included in any of the special offers. Did you use the pin offer that was mailed out with dates ending 12/13/12 or did you use a different pin offer? Thanks for your help!! :)

I talked to a different CM and they were able to change us to AoA-LM section with my free dining pin! So excited! My 4 year old daughter is going to be so happy! She absolutely loves LM! We will now be at WDW on Dec. 13-19 in the AoA-LM rooms! :)

OK, fellow December travelers.

I am looking to spread a little Disney holiday magic.pixiedust: If you have NOT yet purchased tickets and you will be entering DHS in the afternoon (for the first time that day) on 12/17 or AK on the morning of 12/19, PM me. First person to respond with corresponding dates and times will get a fabulous surprise! :thumbsup2

I'm going to amend this:

Above rules still apply, but if you have a package where your tickets can be changed and there are only two people in your party, you are also eligible!
