Love the bios!!

Well....we carved pumpkins today.

Think we might have an obsession?

We carved pumpkins too - we did not do mickey inspired ones... Yours is great!!! However we did watch the Haunted Mansion - so cheesy but we wanted a halloween type movie for my daughter to watch and well, we've seen the nightmare before xmas a 1000 times (she loves jack skellington) and I couldn't bear to watch spooky buddies so Amazon suggest HM....

Love the pumpkin!

Here's a pic of my little guys before headed out to the Zoo's Halloween party

And then here's a pic of the kids once we got there. All this did was further excite me about this surprise trip. It even got my DH excited, so up until then was just going with the flow.

My son is on the autistic spectrum (we are in the process of having him tested for Aspergers) and usually is very shy and wants to just hang out in the stroller. Something about this Buzz Lightyear costume has him totally coming out of his shell. He even got on stage and participated in a costume contest yesterday and won 1st place. :)

Sorry for the long "proud mommy" moment, but I just feel like a lil Disney magic is already happening here :)

They are soooo adorable!! Love the costumes and love even more that Buzz had that affect on your son. :wizard:

I hope so, too. It would be better if we didn't lose power at all. Then I can DIS :p!

Be safe! So many friends and family down your way - and needless to say I am worried....

So, my husband goes - what would you do if we lost power for 7 days... I tell him - leave and go on vacation. Is that wrong :)

All our fur babies are rescues too. :)

Us too. We've adopted 2 shelter dogs & 2 cats. Plus our youngest pup was found abandoned in the woods/parking lot at dh's office :(

Very cool!!

DD used sharpies to draw a vampire Mickey on a pumpkin yesterday. It came out great

Be proud girl!! Your children are adorable and it brings a tear to my eye when I read about your son - I totally get it, that must have been a wonderful moment for you

I love IMDB!

Me too! Great place to get movie quotes from too (its a game me & hubby have always played randomly :) )

I'll be doing that soon myself. I just don't want to do it too early and loose (misplace) them.

Same here. When I'm organised like that, it all goes wrong. I'd find the envelopes 4 years later ....

Good morning!

I feel like I'm in a Disney lull. My plans are all set. Everything's paid for. It's too early for me to pack and I'm just waiting for my welcome package and updated hours. I don't know what to do with myself :confused3

I hope everyone in Sandy's path stays safe!

Thats the point I'm at!

How was your weather last night? We had to remove a ton of halloween decorations last night the wind was so bad.

That is great that being Buzz is so good for your DS :-)

Morning everyone!

I love seeing kids in their costumes they are so cute!!! We may get a handful of kids from the building but trick or treating in the city just isn't the same as in the burbs.

I'm logged in and working from home today. So far we have some wind and a little rain. Our windows face a courtyard that's between the buildings. There's a nice updraft right now and there are leaves floating up! When I saw the first one, while still in bed, I thought it was a bird. :upsidedow

We're outside the secondary evacuation zones by a block or two and we are on the 6th floor. I'm watching the news and I'm not looking forward to later tonight.

But on the good news front - I got a Disney Store email this morning with free shipping! I really do want a 2012 Duffy bear! Let's see what else I can possibly order. :lmao:

Hope everyone in the path of Sandy is safe and dry and those that aren't have an awesome day!

Update on DH

He is on the way home and about an hour and half from 95 in NJ. He's making good time (thanks to no traffic and everyone staying home). Not sure how much longer it will take him but I'll keep everyone updated. Today's his birthday so being stuck out is not on his top wish list.

That would be me. I'd print them and loose them and find them when we got back lol

Your children are adorable and I think you have every reason for a long "proud mommy" moment. Glad to hear about the Buzz Lightyear costume - the magic of Disney!! :goodvibes

Thank you :)

I got a coupon for 25% off my entire purchase when I was in the Disney store a couple weeks back. I'm just waiting for Nov 8th to roll around so I can use the code lol I'm keeping my fingers crossed that free personalization will be going on still and I can combine offers :)

Bah hah hah hah!! I adore that show. DH commented the other day that we like Big Bang so much because a lot of it is true. I mean, we did flag down a car with a lightsaber the other day.

Fingers crossed for you!

:lmao: we're on our way home from Cleveland area (took a detour on our way home from West Virginia to surprise my MIL).....and I read this to dh. He said we would totally pick up someone on the side of the road if they flagged us down with a light saber. :lmao:

Ok so now I have phone service and my goal is to get through the next 40 pages before getting to Columbus (we're just at Medina now).....will be happy when we get past all this rain!

So glad to read that he is on his way home!!! Happy Birthday to your husband:banana:

BackBratOne I can just imagine what an awesome mommy moment that was for you :cloud9: Your kids are so cute!!!

Somebody mentioned earlier about being in a Disney lull? I can so agree with that! Everything is set...now I just have to count down the days (45 today:banana:) and hang out here with you all:cool1:

I'm still determined to spend most of my time analyzing every decision I have made...the dates, the resort, my ADR's etc. Hahahaha:rotfl:

For everyone in Sandy's path, she is an incredibly large and dangerous storm so please stay safe!!!

Windy!! It howled all night. My poor remaining tomato plant that I'm trying to kill (erm, I mean...whoops) finally may have bit the dust yesterday. It certainly took a beating in the wind.

I had to break out the heavy jacket this morning. Brrrr :santa:

Morning everyone!

Reporting from Philadelphia. Nothing too terrible here yet. Just sitting at work. Hoping to get out a bit early today so I don't have to commute in the worst of it.

Hi everyone! Boy it's a full time job keeping up! We have some good news and some bad news from our trip planning. First the good: I mentioned to DH that our last day of vacation will end early since we have a 5:30 at BOG and there is a party that night. Guess what he said?!?! He said why don't we use our Disney Visa reward dollars and go to the party again! Woo hoo, what a way to end our vacation!!

Now for the bad. My mom has been having abdominal pain looked at. They have said that she has gallstones and needs her gallbladder out:( :( Her appointment with the surgeon is Tuesday so we'll see what happens. Please send us some pixie dust. :(

Yeah for the extra party.... :( for your mom. On the upside most of the time the surgery is very quickly recovered from. Laparoscopic, in most cases. Isn't it amazing what they can do nowadays? I know I'm waiting for the Dr McCoy Star Trek wand for my first colonoscopy :)

Poor tomato plant :( Yep, I put the heating on this morning

Leave in good time and get home safe!

I'm here in CT and the whole state has shut down. They are expecting very high winds for at least the next 24 hours.
