We have LTT booked for dinner on the 3rd. I didn't see the ooey gooey toffee cake listed for dinner - and I  toffee :( Anyone know if it's possible to order it with dinner?

Its on the lunch menu only .... not sure if you could request it for dinner.

We had dinner there last time - I actually wasn't that sure with it being 'family style' but it was one of the memorable meals of the trip. It was real comfort food everything was delicious!

Our rule for this trip was to do all different restaurants but we had to re-visit LTT in MK and HBD in DHS ..... loved those ones :lovestruc

Good morning my friends :grouphug:

I've tried keeping up the last couple of days - been super busy in RL with all that kind of RL stuff :coffee:

So, how do the change of hours affect me? Not greatly but I'm still pleased nonetheless .....

My first MK day is 8th Dec and the hours have changed from 10pm close to 12am!

We get there for an 8am ADR at CRT and plan on staying til 12am ..... we will do the second Main Street Electrical Parade as it will be less crowded.

HA! We are going to be cream crackered* that day!

But like we always says, we can sleep after Disney :thumbsup2

* Definition: Cream Crackered = Knackered = really tired!
Origins: Cockney rhyming slang term that came about in the 1950s after Jacobs Cream Crackers which are very similar to Carrs Water crackers. Every home in the UK has a pack.

Didn't know that did ya :teeth:

ETA: Also DHS is adding another F! at 8pm so now I need to decide if to switch or not because at the moment our dinner is quite late (due to the first F!)

Cream Crackered! :lmao:

Isn't that the truth!

I've never had a cast member do anything but go out of their way to make my day that much better.

It's one of the reason I'll continue to give Disney so much of my money time and time again. :thumbsup2

Heck, if Kona Cafe can get you Ohana's bread pudding for dessert, surely the LTT can get you their own dish at a different time of day.

I couldn't agree with that more! Thats why when I see the complaining threads I'm always like "Really?" ..... ok, so maybe not everything is perfect at Disney but it sure beats anywhere else. I've been fortunate to travel the world so I can compare (I've even been to Tivoli Gardens in Denmark which was Walts inspiration for Disneyland).

Go to Six Flags for the day, spend MORE money than you would at Disney then come back and complain to me about Disney :scratchin

Exactly. Is Disney expensive? Yes. Is it worth it? In my opinion, it's more than worth it. You pay a premium for premium service and entertainment, simple as that. I know people hate the comparisons to places like Six Flags, but it's entirely warranted. You'll pay just as much, if not more on food and souvenirs at other theme parks, and you'll not come CLOSE to the magical/carefree/child like feeling you're going to get from WDW.

The cast members are always more than pleasant and willing to go the extra mile to make someone smile. The kids at Six Flags? They don't give a crap if you're having fun or not.

There's just something about being at Disney, seeing the castle, hearing the "Welcome home" whenever we pull into our DVC resort, and eating in such amazing and well thought out restaurants..it just floors me, every time.

Ok, I'm really, REALLY wishing the next two weeks would go by a little quicker now..

Liberty Tree Tavern. :thumbsup2

Liberty Tree Tavern in MK - great restaurant :)

Oh, thank you for that, I will check it out. Thank you also for defining Creamed Crackers.

I have a wonderful friend from England, I love his accent and always crack up at the different phrases, lovely. :coffee:

I pulled my suitcase out and started putting a few things in it today, all stuff I'm not wearing now; shorts, tanktops (anything above 70 will make it tanktop weather for me), bathing suits and pool towels. It got me thinking do you plan your outfits for each day or do you throw a mosh mash of stuff in and make outfits as you go? When the boys are going I put outfits together in ziplock bags so they can just grab one and get dressed but for me I throw a bunch of stuff in and pick outfits as we go. That probably why it's seems to DH that I overpack. lol

Good Afternoon fellow December Disers! Two great things to report today!

1. Two weeks from today I will be landing at MCO and searching for ME!!!

2. As of this morning I have lost 40 lbs since July!!! pixiedust:

I went shopping this morning and was able to get into jeans that were 4 sizes smaller! I did not purchase them though, I am holding out for 1 more size :flower3:

Have a great afternoon!

I try to plan out my outfits, but I end up changing my mind at least a day or two so I always pack 2 extra shirts than I need. I am also a last minute packer. I try to prepack, but I end up taking everything out and re-doing it. So the night before I leave I am scrambling around telling DH just to go relax because I can't have him there. :rotfl:

I have two questions for my esteemed fellow travelers-

1. Any recommendations regarding a good, cute sport sandal or mesh shoe (e.g. something that can get wet) for touring that is not a Keen? Keens are too wide for me.

I love my North Face HedgeFrogs. They are comfy like a sneaker, but made of neoprene at the top and have an open heel.

Wow - 40 lbs & 4 sizes: way to go. Congrats. :woohoo:

I am in agreement with this. So many people let the littlest things become HUGE issues. No one is perfect, and if most of the time I am being treated well and enjoying myself - guess what I can handle the rest!! Sometimes I think people aren't happy unless they are complaining - also companies like Disney have created some of these behaviors. The same people that will complain about waiting in line for one thing or anothers have never complained about standing in line at walmart for 30 mins.

I need to do this NOW! 13 days! :scared: I tend to wear jeans a lot, as well as jean capris or shorts so I never really worry about it. I also do the same with the kiddos, bring a lot of mix and match clothes.

I try to plan outfits and throw in a couple extra shirts that match different bottoms. I know I'll be bringing extra stuff this trip since the weather can vary by day and over the course of a given day

congrats!!! That is awesome! :cheer2:

molitva: I just wanted to be sure you knew Olmos is doing the Candlelight Processional at Disneyland this year.

cybrkitn: Please do wrap your wall and take a pic. I LOVE this idea. Hilarious.

Hollygolitely93: Maybe something about all the shows with a survey at the end so you know which ones to make time for. Maybe include a paragraph about toys and how they should save their allowance now?

Levenhopper: Ugh on the sold out. We rented a car, but Landscapes could be crazy! Fortunately we have a lot of meals planned other places.

SAT887: Love the hair. Wish I were that brave. I used to have it short just after college, but the wave in my hair changed and I could never get it right and now it scares me that it would just look bad. I fantasize about a shaved head every time I blow dry it though.

DisneyDreamerMN: Congrats on the weight. That's awesome.

So I went to Disneyland on Thursday (we live about 20 minutes away). I was dying for coffee so I decided to stop by the new Starbucks location in DCA. I think everyone who is worrying about Main Street Bakery is just working themselves up over nothing. The DCA location was great. You wouldn't have known it wasn't just a regular Disney bakery until you got to the menu boards and I don't know if this was intentional, but they weren't even that easy to see. You had to duck in line to see around the decor to see them. And they still had Disney baked favorites plus Starbucks cake pops for $1.79 We got a grande mocha, hot chocolate and cake pop for $8. Reasonable for Disney plus Starbucks IMHO.

And I know what you all mean about the bus complainers. A bad tram situation (mechanical delay, had to stop because girl wouldn't stop hanging out then had to u-turn because the driver missed his mark) caused to me to miss park opening. I was bummed, but I didn't think, oh disney sucks. I thought, I should have walked since I cared about getting there early for RSR fast passes. How can you get upset about something that's free? And later, my son started getting sick and

I am a surprised though about one of the hours. I was hoping they'd extend the 10th regular MK close to 10pm like they did last year. I'm surprised with all the FLE and other openings that they're expecting smaller crowds than last year. Do they ever change the hours again after this release?

Too funny. Can't wait to use that line. :rotfl:
My favorite line (in fact the only one of Roseanne's I remember) is: "If these kids are alive by the end of the day, I've done MY job."
That's pretty much been my motto as a mother.

I'm undecided about shopping on BF this year. when my parents visit for thanksgiving I usually go. But they won't be here this year until closer to our trip.

I do like the idea of cinnamon rolls for breakfast though :-)
I am handling BF in a very calm & quiet manner- going up in the mountains to cut down a Christmas tree, stop by the candy store on the way back, then decorate the tree while we watch Muppets Christmas Carol. It's a family tradition.:)

I love my North Face HedgeFrogs. They are comfy like a sneaker, but made of neoprene at the top and have an open heel.
I didn't know North Face made shoes. Thanks!

I've also made a vow today to never, ever again purchase a plane ticket through priceline, travelocity or any other third-party vendor. I usually don't, but it being Thanksgiving and the fares were horrific, I did and we are having a heck of a time getting my DD 18 home from school today. :worried: I'm a very nervous mommy but it looks like it will be okay. What a day. I don't even want to go into how FUBAR this has been.

Eek... I am ADR tweeking :confused3

I found a pre park opening Crystal Palace ADR - to swap out with Friday - then I have to change around my whole park schedule! Which I don't think is a HUGE issue however (need to discuss with DH) however still not knowing 13 days out what days my SIL & BIL are going is kinda screwing with me!!

Deep breaths....
