I'm just wondering where they came from and why they are not on the Disneyworld website

The website will be updated in a few days. Disney releases them this way every month. I dont know why. Josh at easywdw says it is easier for them to update a single document than to program the changes on the website.

Cute! And you can still wear your headbands. :thumbsup2

Yes- that was a very important to me :) I have a drawer full ( headbands are to me what Disney tees are to you!) and I would be sad without them!

Yep. You've got it. :thumbsup2 MK is open until 1am for guests staying onsite. I am so looking forward to a late night in MK. :cool1:

So back to the topic of snacks and baked goods - did anyone else hear that Hostess is closing down? If you like Twinkies you better shop now

http://www.hostessbrands.com/Closing.aspx

Surely some company will buy Twinkies! This cannot be the end!!!
In their statement they said they'll be auctioning off the company assets, and one of those assets is the brand name of Twinkie (and Ding Dongs). The business world seems to be pretty sure a company will buy the Twinkie brand, but possibly not Wonder Bread. But since they stopped shipping yesterday, it'll probably be awhile before they are back in production.
It's been cancelled ever since they started talking about FLE Grand Opening the next day. Park closes early and Wishes moves up to 6pm which is kind of bizarre.

Best guess is some kind of private, maybe CM, event related to FLE.
I was pretty happy with the updated schedule since they added a few more MSEPs on the nights I wanted to see it: Dec 2 and 9.

Urg. Not happy. They changed MK's hours to opening at 8 on 12/9, so there goes my pre-park opening BBB appointment. My appt.'s at 8:10. Will I be late if we watch the opening show? Should we still attempt to get in early?

I was also hoping they would add a Fantasmic! show on the 13th, but it's still just the 6:30 show. Could they still add one, or should I give up hope?

Show is usually at like 7:50. Unless there's a huge crowd expected I think it would be do-able. You'll have to hustle up Main Street. But it if you really want to, it's probably manageable. I wouldn't worry about it. You're not really losing anything except an hour you didn't know you had.

It's always possible that they could add another one. But not particularly likely. I wouldn't plan on it at this stage.

This document is used by bloggers and TAs and other industry professionals so it's always updated first. The website just has a longer turnaround time so it isn't practical for conveying those changes to the industry. It will be updated in a week or so. In order to use the document, you have to have a direct link to each month. It's not something you can browse for. But if you know where to look, anyone can view it.

Josh posted these links a while back.

I have two questions for my esteemed fellow travelers-

1. Any recommendations regarding a good, cute sport sandal or mesh shoe (e.g. something that can get wet) for touring that is not a Keen? Keens are too wide for me.

2. Is it possible to close down AK at 7 pm on Dec. 18th and make it to the 8 pm Fantasmic! ? We could possibly leave a few minutes before 7. We'll have a car.

Thanks!

It looks great!

I know this was answered already, but I'll chime in that you have it right, and that I'll be there that day too! :goodvibes

It is generally recommended that you line up for Fantasmic 60-90 minutes before the show. And that's on a normal day. You should allow at least 90 as you get closer to Christmas and crowds go up.

Is it possible that you'll catch a break and be able to slip in at the back 30 minutes or less before the show? Possible. It does happen but I wouldn't count on it. Most shows do fill up completely. And when it's crowded, it's not uncommon to be in line for the early show and not get in until the late one. And for people in the late show to not get in at all.

We're going the first week of Dec and we'll be in line at least 60 minutes before showtime. If I were going on the 18th, I'd make it 90.

Wow. Hmm ... I was vaguely happy that they had added the 2nd Fantasmic showings, since Fantasmic is something that we think would be cool to see the differences between the DLR version and this one, but wasn't high on the priority list. Because we're going the first two weeks of December and planning on checking out how the crowds look around 7:30 or even 7:45 for Fantasmic, and if its closed, oh well. I like the DLR version, but we don't make a point to see it except perhaps every 3rd trip or so.

They did something like this for the World of Color when it first opened (they may still). The food was about as tasty as regular quick service (the menu looks almost identical to the fried chicken I got and the salmon DH got), and to not have to stand in the FP line would have been well worth it (except for the fact that we found out they had a special line just for Grand Californian/DLH guests to grab WOC FP's before park opening when we got there). Looks like a great option for people going later in the month! I'd sign up for it if it was available during our time.

There is a girl on the fb page whose husband worked there. :( I bought a couple boxes of ho-hos this morning.

I know who you are talking about and this makes me so sad! We were going the same dates and to the same dessert party and planning a meet. I pray for her and her family.
