Does anyone know if there is a review/photos for the Nov. 9th party yet? I can't find it anywhere.

I haven't seen any big reviews or any pictures for the party. In the Official MVMCP thread (I'll get the link if you want it) there have been a few people who skipped the characters because the lines were so long (don't think they were planners) and they said the ride lines weren't too bad and the parade was great.

Ok the boss' boss just walked in with the VP of HR. And he was a surprise. Could just be an insurance/benefits renewal discussion. Or it could not be a good day for someone. There are only 9 of us in my office. I will be logging off now, probably for the rest of the day.

I was the only customer service person in my office and there are 4 others in Chicago, so they decided to consolidate. It was immediate, so good luck to whoever has to figure out what I was working on.
I get severance, basically my regular paychecks through the end of the year. I haven't talked to DH yet. He will freak out with his job mess and our trip!! Disney is already paid for, so I see no reason not to go, but I will definitely be staying at Pop. I bought Disney gift cards at Kroger to pay for most of the trip, so it's not like canceling will give me any real money.
I texted my friend who was laid off from this company last year and went to lunch with her. She starts a new job the week after Thanksgiving. It is a national company that is opening a new plant here. She is the HR manager. She goes to a plant in Indiana her first week to see how they do things and what she needs. Then she starts recruiting and hiring. So if there is any admin type of job, I will be her first hire. She was very excited about the timing of this because she was going to call me this week about it anyway. So it could work out very well. Fingers crossed.

What type of clothing is everyone brining??? I'm thinking just to bring jeans pants long sleeve shirts sweater etc no summer clothes

I'm bringing everything. Not in small part because most of what I own is "summer clothes" for obvious reasons. But I'm figuring on jeans/t-shirts during the day if it stays in the 60's/70's with a light jacket, then layers at night, with turtlenecks + 2 jackets and jeans if it gets cold enough. Also we're going to Castaway Cay, so I'm hoping to need summer clothes there, so at least one pair of shorts.

We watched Once Upon a Time tonight too! Such a good episode even though Emma and Snow were hardly in it. I hate when shows do that, two weeks? That's too far away!
OK, I feel so old, I have no idea what a Bloggies is But I am glad he is enjoying it.

I enjoy watching Once Upon a Time, too, but we don't have TV/cable, I just watch a whole season of whatever show I'm into on Netflix. So I've only seen the first season so far ... from that I'm mostly interested in Rumplestiltskin as he's the most fascinating character to me. Anyhow, try waiting a year every time you want to see more of a show! Thankfully we're not really much of TV people, though we do follow Glee on the internet ...
Oh and I didn't know what a Bloggies was either, and I'm relatively young with an information science degree, so don't feel too bad ... there's just so much stuff out there now ...

As I said, I think it's supposed to have FP, so I'd just make that a priority. I think they made a mistake with Belle that is affecting the flow with this. They need to ditch the photo op here and put her back in Town Square Theater so they can keep things moving faster.

At the very least, they need to make it so people can start exiting if they don't want the photo op. Like the old Belle's Storytime.

I hope it does have FP!

Question: did any of you see threads on the tp board about Disney testing a new fastpass procedure? I think they contacted guests shortly before their trips and gave them the opportunity to pick a limited number of fastpasses before their arrival? I haven't seen any recent posts on this and was wondering if they are no longer testing it.

Nothing since the tests in September. I was really hoping they'd run another test/open it up to ME riders after Thanksgiving, but it doesn't look like that's going to happen.

And I just logged on to come gripe my Dh and I are off work today (yeah holidays!) and I was cleaning up our junk room (kids have school so its a good day to throw junk away) and he says "hun, how much would it be to add mom to our trip?" I mean, I think she'd enjoy going with ... and I didnt hear anything else b/c I think I fainted. I mean I dont mind my MIL going with us, and wouldnt even mind paying for it, but he has NO idea how difficult this change would be this late in the game. 5 is a game changer at WDW!

Someone asked if I had used my speedlight flash at WDW, I havent, I didnt have my dSLR or flash last trip. Im skered!

All of you with your SLRs are making me feel ill-prepared with my little point and shoot. But I think I'll get over it.

No worries. I have one of those too. And I take plenty of iPhone/iPad pics. The DSLR gives me more control but whatever gets the shot is good enough for me. And honestly, I can't carry the DSLR every day without a larger bag than I'm willing to carry in the parks. So I switch off.

You definitely have a great attitude! Sounds like maybe this was just the universe telling you there's something even better. And I agree about the trip. At least is does resolve the resort stay conundrum. Another positive. DH was really bothered one day by the boss's usual firing threats going up a notch and it just motivated him to follow up with someone who had contacted him and now he had a third interview today with a better company and better paying job! Good thoughts headed your way.

And congrats ciaogina and me too, Tltorrez. The lymph nodes in my neck are hard golf balls that just ache. At least the 2-day fever is gone. So glad I got a flu shot. :-(

Well I'm so sorry you got laid off, but it sounds like you already have a potential new position in the wings, so that is great. This could be just the thing you need!

I also agree that you definitely need to keep your trip, and just go the cheaper route to be safe. It will help keep you sane during all of this for sure.

I have a son that lives in Houston, I was wondering how close you are to Houston? Texas is such a large state!

Funny because everytime I type "UT" I'm also thinking "someone's gonna think I'm in Austin"... not to far away though, we're actually in San Antonio which is about 3.5-4 hours from Houston. And yes, TX is a huge state... it's crazy to drive 10 hours and still be in a the state where you started.

Holy Cow! How completely unexpected for you. I'm not joking, I read what you wrote and completely out loud said "holy sh!t"... and then quickly said "sorry, guys"... I literally clutched-the-pearls hand motioned... BUT, I will say this - my mom was in the same position you were in a few months ago and like you, knew the right people at the right places. You're attitude will see you through this and so will knowing it's all in the timing. I predict you'll come upon an opportunity that won't have much of an open window in terms of timing and will need to be filled ASAP. You'll be ready and willing and boom, done.

And see now, if your plan B works out and you move the trip up a week then you have the time to replan and organize with none of the work junk...
