I mostly just use my zoom lens all the time. But I'll probably bring the 50mm too for some of the indoor stuff. The lighting at character meals is terrible. I took a class this summer to get out of P mode and into Manual but I need a lot more practice. So I expect I'll be on P most of the trip. Just not taking chance on totally screwing something up.

I'll also be carrying my Gorillapod for Illuminations.

I like those gorrillapods - however I have opted against bringing a tri pod - with all the little kid stuff I don't want to carry it. I am bringing my 18-70mm, 10-20mm wide angle and debating the 55-200mm.... I will probably flip through a variety of modes - and mostly stick to P (with kiddos in tow I know I will not have the time I need) I will bring my remote though - I figure if I want I can use that with firework shots - this way to at least avoid any shake.... Also I am akso bringing my SB-600 speedlight - I hate the flas that is on my camera, however I mostly plan on using this with indoor shots...

Do you use any polarizers or other filters? I have them for 2 of my lenses (not the 55-200) and also a warming filter for the 18-70mm... Somehow I have managed to fit this all in my camera bag!! I am excited - I never brought my DSLR on a trip to WDW before

I'm slowly climbing the walls because DBF hasn't bought our tickets yet from UT...

I'm pretty sure my packing list is done... pretty much taking everything and anything - see, simple?

Can't wait to see more pics of MVMCP and all the merchandise for the buying

Doesn't UT suggest 3 weeks because some times the lead times can be long? You may want to check before you order - with another holiday coming up....

Do you use any polarizers or other filters? I have them for 2 of my lenses (not the 55-200) and also a warming filter for the 18-70mm... Somehow I have managed to fit this all in my camera bag!! I am excited - I never brought my DSLR on a trip to WDW before

I have some that came with my kit lens. I have no idea what they even all do. I have a thing that fits on the end that keeps sun of the lens (but doesn't cover the lens like a filter). I use that sometimes but honestly haven't played with the other stuff.

I'm definitely starting to panic. I did some nice de cluttering this weekend, tamed the laundry monster, finished Project Life for October and helped DS with a book report. But notice - no Disney stuff. Unless you count ordering DS's Smash book, which project has now increased my ToDo list.

Not possible. Even with the dinner package you have to arrive at last a half hour before. After a certain time they open the reserved section to guests in line. Fantasmic is packed for every single show. Plus it would take time to see the lights and its on the other side of the park.

After the show it takes time to get out of the amphitheater and a lot of people head to the lights. But you can walk to DHS in half an hour. So that gives you an hour to get over and see the lights and get out of the park. Tight but do--able. Is the ADR a must-do?

For now the ADR is unless I get it switched, which doesn't seem to be working

I read your post about why a sparkly ring is necessary to DBF. He didn't find it as good of an idea as I did..

I can't decide if I'm brave enough or not to take mine. I love it, but I don't want to damage it. I do have uv and polarizing filters, for all my lenses, and a hood.

This is the first year I am braving it. I hope I get to use it as much as I would like. I need to play around with it a bit more because I am rusty! I am going to look more at my latern guide for a refresher as well really "play" with it next week.
