As for geese - I'm not a fan. I worked at a company that there were always lots of geese on the property. A valid late excuse was stopped by the geese. They would walk the driveways and completely block the road and they wouldn't move! So frustrating.

Wait a minute......if you are only saving $200 you won't be saving very much money (Le Cellier will cost you guys pretty much....not sure how much Sanaa will be). Maybe you should keep the regular dining?

Good point from Kathy .... I think you should look at the menus and get an idea of what you think you would order and how much that would cost and see how much you are really saving.

OK, silly question time.... I think I already know the answer to this question, but here goes.

I would like to purchase a couple of the Disney gift cards they sell at Target to use while at Disney World, because I hate to carry a lot of cash around. Are the gift cards like any other gift card where I can keep using it until it is all used up? Or is it a gift card you can use only once? Thanks in advance!

I have 3 of the $50 gift cards from Target purchased. I have an app on my iPhone where I can register them and list what I intend to use them for.....it helps keep it straight in my head. I need 5 more in order to cover all our tips (2 days are already accounted for using these cards-2 days of tips plus the oop meals we will have before our dining plan kicks in). You can either keep the cards as is and use them to pay for various things or you can apply them to your account, I think. It's almost easier to apply them to your account and have them put on your KTTW card, I think. Of course that may be harder to keep track of? I'm still trying to decide how to handle that as I'd like to use them for room charging purposes....which again may cause me to overspend? I just don't want to have a bunch of gift cards hanging around. lol! I also want to buy enough to cover our expenses and souvenirs but I don't want to buy so many that I spend money I don't need to spend. It's complicated in my brain. lol

That might not be such a bad idea. Buy some gift cards to try to keep my spending in check and so I don't have to carry my other cards.

Exactly! We plan to not charge a thing this trip. I will be using my checkcard but also have the cash from the overtime I have been doing at work and I don't feel like carrying $500 around, not to mention at the airport and in the cab from my house to the airport.

My problem is I don't usually have trouble finding stuff to spend $ on!

It was a great house.....however, it didn't have HEAT! We heated with wood stoves. Um, yes....I was a pioneer woman! I also had 2 children and no washer/dryer. Yep, I took 2 kids with me everywhere, including laudrymat, for the 13 years I was married to my ex!!!

It's complicated in my brain too. I don't want to buy too many, but I don't want to buy too few. And not knowing what souvenirs cost is what is part of my problem. I don't know how much a tshirt will cost me. Or what little trinket I may want from whatever shop. I need to watch my spending on this trip.


That said, I did just order DBF a surprise for the room the day we get there. I called Disney Floral. I'm having a bottle of Asti, the toasting flutes and the Sweet on You box of chocolates delivered. I shouldn't have spent the money but I wanted to show him how much I appreciate going on this trip with him.

Still hoping for something shiny..

Kroger does fuel points too. Some times you get 4x points, and up to $2 off a gallon. I did this for our trip, they have the cards you can put up to $500 on.

When my kids were little we lived in an historic home in the middle of one of our city's parks. The house was built in 1877 and the park was built around it Anyway there was a huge lake in the middle of park, right by our house. There were geese all over the place and I remember a specific instance where one KEPT ME HOSTAGE IN MY CAR! They were so mean!!!!! I was so skeered!

We had Ca-razy geese at my old work. They would peck your car as you drove by.
