I'm 10 pages behind (which was just from the last 10 hours or so)!

Here's what I did last night:


Then this is what I did today at work during my morning break. I used three sets of the battery operated lights from Target, an 8" grapevine wreath, and 2 4" grapevine wreaths. It looks better with the lights off


Oh, and this is my poochie. Max likes to sit on the breakfast bar stools and watch my every move.

Are those slice and bake cookies or did you form them?

I love the wreath!! That's such a great idea. I might have to make one and hang it in the window here at home.

Did you just use regular/colored paper and standard lamination?

I printed on white card stock. And I have a Xyron cold laminator.

Just wondering what everyone's best guess is to when the Dec park hours will be adjusted this month. I know park hours are never "final" but Im just wondering when they might adjust them again. thanks

We can go in at 4:00, with our MVMCP tickets? I thought not until 7:00.

If that's the case we may not use any ticket that day. We could have linner, (lunch+dinner) and head for the park at 4:00. This will make DH very happy. He will be able to spend half the day sitting around, pool or not, drinking beer.

I told him yesterday, I'm so excited our trip is coming soon, how about you? He answered, why your just going to run me all over the place. Who me, ha!

Yep, you can get in as early as 4pm. We are doing a monorail resort tour of the decorations and having "linner" at either CS at Poly or GF Cafe before the party.

Well, not yet, He's 2. lol But, when I had him... I was kind of relieved that he wasn't born on Dec. 8th, since that it was the death of John Lennon... but then husband went and reminded me that Dec 7th was Pearl Harbor Day. Ohhh well.

I just bought the small envelopes to print out our mousekeeping envelopes. Now I have to take the time to do it.

I just realized I need ONE more mousekeeping envy so I'm going to go back through and find the one Terri posted last week. It's a Christmas one and I will use that for our last night.

Strange...I saw a lot of people on the Resorts thread were talking about getting "free upgrade" emails, because LM AoA (and some others) were overbooked. I just searched for my dates (Dec 14-21) at AoA, and the only thing available are LM rooms. No suites of any theming are available.

I wonder if they had originally overbooked the LM rooms (since no LM rooms were available for a while), and offered too many free upgrades so now there is a bunch of rooms available?

That's my guess, overbooking. I thought of you when I was reading that thread.....i take it you didn't get an email?

I'm planning to do the same thing (wearing my fleece around my waist during the day) so we will both be oh so fashionable! My dh will be sporting his Razorback and STL Cardinals hoodies!

Oh, I'm probably wearing one of my Cardinals jerseys on the plane....and I'll bring the other one!

I can't believd dh "thought" he saw that week was taken. Clearly, he has no idea of the stress he has caused you, especially if you do have to wait until the end of the week or next Monday before you know something! I hope it all works out and quickly! Here's some pixie dust just for you!

What about the stress he's caused us? Just kidding!

I mostly just use my zoom lens all the time. But I'll probably bring the 50mm too for some of the indoor stuff. The lighting at character meals is terrible. I took a class this summer to get out of P mode and into Manual but I need a lot more practice. So I expect I'll be on P most of the trip. Just not taking chance on totally screwing something up.

I'll also be carrying my Gorillapod for Illuminations.

I took a class and since I haven't been using mine in Manual mode I've forgotten just about everything. lol!

I like those gorrillapods - however I have opted against bringing a tri pod - with all the little kid stuff I don't want to carry it. I am bringing my 18-70mm, 10-20mm wide angle and debating the 55-200mm.... I will probably flip through a variety of modes - and mostly stick to P (with kiddos in tow I know I will not have the time I need) I will bring my remote though - I figure if I want I can use that with firework shots - this way to at least avoid any shake.... Also I am akso bringing my SB-600 speedlight - I hate the flas that is on my camera, however I mostly plan on using this with indoor shots...

Do you use any polarizers or other filters? I have them for 2 of my lenses (not the 55-200) and also a warming filter for the 18-70mm... Somehow I have managed to fit this all in my camera bag!! I am excited - I never brought my DSLR on a trip to WDW before

My gorillapod fits in my camera bag. I'll definitely bring it. I also just got a remote (although mine attaches with a cord)......it's definitely handy to help with camera shake!

That wreath is AWESOME!!! I might have to make a trip to AC Moore and get my craft on. It is just so hard with a 2yo. I used to craft way more. I can't wait to craft with her when she's a bit older.

Pocahontas and Meeko do come out as part of Characterpalooze (late afternoon random character appearances) but that won't happen this time of year. It only happens on days when there is no Fantasmic before 7:30 PM. This time of year there is a 6:30 Fantasmic every night.

She does appear at AK in Camp Minnie Mickey, but not with Meeko any longer.

Craziness here. Sold our house and probably going into escrow today. Got full prince which we are thrilled about. Making an offer on another house today.

Does anyone know if there is a review/photos for the Nov. 9th party yet? I can't find it anywhere.

Congrats on selling your house! I can't believe you are doing all of this right before vacation! I would be a nervous wreck!

Looooove my speedlight!

I don't have a speedlight. I think I need one, though. I took a 60 minute class at our camera store last summer on lighting. I bought the umbrella but no speedlight.

I brought my DSLR in 2009 and my point and click in 2011 and both this trip.... we have a lot to document since we won't be back for a bit and I like to see the "growing up in Disney World" pictures...

I'm bringing my dSLR AND my point and shoot. My point and shoot is always in my purse, but I really don't like that one as much!

Thanks for all the well wishes and good thoughts for a new job. DH freaked out as I predicted. It is just bad timing with him not sure what is happening at his job and the trip so close. He is a half empty glass kind of guy anyway. I am a "a half full glass is almost a full glass, so everyhing will be fine" kind of girl. I will be going to Disney with or without him. I think he will feel better about everything next week.

I must say you are handling this very well. Fingers crossed that your friend will have a position for you and that you will be headed to Disney soon.

We are staying at Port Orleans: French Quarter. This is the second time we are going to WDW for New Year's Eve! Only Greg and I. We have taken the kids before (and plan to again in June 2013), but prefer to go by ourselves.

This vacation is our celebration, as BOTH of us just began new (and higher paying) jobs! Although, we will be leaving our littlest... our one year old princess... for the first time. So, the vacation will be shorter than we would like.

We arrive on December 30, 2012 and leave January 3, 2013!

VERY excited to drink around the world at EPCOT on New Year's Eve!
