5 weeks!!!

The time seriously cannot go by fast enough, though!

We're down to exactly 6 weeks from today, or, 42 days, or 26 more work days.........

DBF and I have a plan, but it doesn't involve marriage for a few more years. Despite knowing this, more than once I've thought of "what-if" he asks during vacation! I mean it's perfect timing! But, it's never going to happen. It's not in the plan.

Does anyone have Veterans Day off except the federal govt? I send to work for the VA and I loved getting this day off because schools were in session, so it was a day just for me.

Anyway, I wouldn't think Disney has it off. But it might just be too early. They generally release around the Mid month. But it seems to me it's generally earlier rather than later. But who knows.

When I used to work for Disney Direct Marketing the only actual day the whole place was closed was Christmas Day. I can't think of anyplace other than the Government that actually has Veteran's Day off.

I'd MUCH rather have the updated schedule on the 12! I don't want to have to make a choice between baking pies for Thanksgiving or cross checking our ADRs and Touring Plans!!! I can see it now, "Sorry friends and family, but our Disney plans were more important than your Thanksgiving feast."

I bought a plastic zippered document pouch to put everything in. I use the smaller ones for coupons in my purse. I put my Mickey mail, my MVMCP tix and my Mousekeeping envelopes in there.

Thanks for the Spa link! I think it's out of my budget for this trip.

Despite the issues we DBF and I have going on, I've kinda wished he'd ask while we are there. But I won't get my hopes up, since I know he hasn't really thought about it or so he's said. I can't believe I just said that out loud.


It just started snowing!! And my PP+ came in today! As well as my new Doc Marten Mary Janes!

Some of the spa services are pretty inexpensive - even going for just a pedicure you get access to the facilities for the whole day (steam room etc) I plan on a pedicure and a facial - they also offer discounts too - I use my DVC discount - but there might be others as well...

Sad news: I don't think Abby and I will start dating while we're in Disney.

Good news: We're dating now!

I wish I could say that it happened in a really special/unique/romantic way, but it was surprisingly low key. We we texting all day while I was at work, and out of the blue she texted me "how about we finally make this official? we talk all the time, we're practically dating as it is."

It sounds like a wonderful mother-daughter trip planned! I was hoping for a similiar trip with my mom in 2013 and she went and booked a cruise.

Spa treatments sound vrey tempting, especially with a discount, but I have so much I want to see, do, and taste that I am not sure I want to take a time out for the spa. Maybe I can squeeze in a massage after the trip.

I had the gingerbread one at ABC Commisary last year. I didn't like it, but I dont know if I have ever had strong gingerbread flavor before. So the cupcake might have been good, but I just dont like gingerbread..if that makes sense.
