Are you guys flying? When are you flying back are rates really high? We plan on going the first Saturday in Jan '14.... It never occurred to me to look at airline prices.

Yes, we are flying. No, we got good deals on our flights. I booked in sept, but rates dropped in November. I got credit bc we are flying SW.

I didn't sleep well bc I dreamed of packing all night. Lol

After spending 16 straight hours at MK yesterday, we are taking a rest day today to do some laundry and recharge (been in FL since Tuesday). As a first-timer, I am absolutely mesmerized with everything I saw at MK! It warmed my cold, cold heart to see all the kids that got to meet the characters in the flesh. I couldn't stop being happy for them all. And my two highlights from yesterday were: Celebrate the Magic (loved it better than the parades or the fireworks) and the meet & greets. I never would have guessed that I had that in me! And special to all the CMs. Pleasant, helpful and downright happy folks! Made the experience ten times better.

And one thing I learned about myself: I dislike roller coaster rides!!! Hahaha! :)

So glad you are having a wonderful time! I hope the rest of your trip continues the magic pixiedust:

Everyone have great trips this week!!!

I am home. :sad1: We had a good time. Didnt do as much as I thought we would, because of my cold and lack of energy. We seemed to do our favorites over and over, instead of doing other attractions. I will do a review on the other thread later. We definitely learned some things about how we want to do the next trip.

Maybe it's a thing with being sick during your trip, because I found myself doing the same thing. I did a few new things, but mostly my favorites over and over. Maybe because they are more comforting, which is nice when you don't feel well? :confused3

Anyone being there on Xmas day, please tell me how busy it is, especially MK, I'm thinking about going next Christmas leaving around 23 or Halloween/sons birthday.
I miss it so much and I'm not even back a week yet

We're driving actually. It's 2020 miles each way, about a 32 hour drive, can't wait! :) We've done the drive about 5 or so times before and consider it to be part of the fun of the vacation. We only fly when we have a short amount of time to go, like our May trip for Star Wars Weekend that we only had 4 days. We're planning to leave around 6am on Dec 26th and we're going to try to make it most of the way through Illinois before we stop.

Thanks mom2travel! I am certain the magic will only get better.

We will be hitting AK on Christmas Day and then MK in the evening (in the hopes that the crowds will thin out even just a little at night at MK). I'm not sure what crowd rating it was yesterday but the crowds were not that bad (for our party of 4 adults anyway). The only time I felt crowded was when people dispersed after Celebrate the Magic. I even commented to my husband that if this is how crowded it gets for Christmas, it really wasn't that bad! I felt the crowds add to the magic (call me crazy).

We will be in EPCOT on Christmas Day, but I will be glad to report any of our excitement and/or rumor from MK. :)

Well, clothing is all laid out except DD11. My MIL is house/pet sitting for us and she slept in, so we havent gotten DD11's clothing out yet. I CANT WAIT!

ABout to check in at SWA, then running out to the nursing home to see my mom and bring her her Christmas. Then its ON! Hafta swing by and get my DD11s eyeglasses adjusted at WM (they are new, and now they hurt her ear).

My Dad and step mom came in for a night last night and brought Christmas too the girls - and included cash for us all to spend at the world. I was floored!

Good to know! I was semi concerned because it would be potentially when a lot of Xmas travelers are flying home. :)

Oh my! 32 hours??? I think it's 26 if we wanted to drive.... If we took more than a week off at a time I'd think about it but right now doesn't it make sense. Where do you travel from?

Wow! And I complain about our 12 hour drive!

Oh and I forgot to say, somebody got engaged along Main Street last night before the last MSEP, by the bakery. So adorable. Congratulations!

Checked in today. Staying at Westgate Lakes. So far so good. 1st day in parks tomorrow. So excited. ..may not sleep tonight!

I'm about an hour south of Canada - but on the eastern side :)

We're back - Boo! Had an interesting time at the orlando airport this morning- our flight was delayed almost 2 hours because the wings had frost on them and the airport doesn't have de-icing equipment, but we did manage to barely make our connection in Atlanta and are now home safe and sound.

We had an amazing time overall and can't wait to go back again in Dec. at some point in the future. We didn't get as much done as we would have liked - this trip seemed to be marred by lots of technical difficulties, which certainly made it interesting, and I will definitely be writing a trip report on the other thread after we get through the Christmas craziness! I can already feel the PDD setting in!!!

Boo! It seems that "not getting as much done as we would have liked..." Is what Disney counts help with repeat business :) can't wait to hear about your trip!
