Parley....Will That Get Me On The Ship Any Faster part 2

As far as a 12 year old alone in the parks, there is a story behind that, I'll tell you on the cruise. I agree with the absolutely not. My response would be, are you insane, dumb, stupid, a moron or are you all of the above.

Off subject, if you were an adult going on a tour that your 12 year old wasn't old enough to go on, would you send your 12 year old into the park all alone for the three hours that you were on the tour?

I don't even like the idea of 12 year olds roaming around the ship by themselves. I think (some) people can get a little lax in the fact that it is vacation and the mentality that nothing can happen to them on vacation.

Are we proposing another meet? A viewing of "Young Frankenstein?"
err.....FrOnkensteen! muahahahaha!

I have a digital copy... can be played on anything with a screen! :surfweb:

That would be hysterical! :lmao: We could all do the dialog along with the movie, just like Rocky Horror! :thumbsup2

I must be the only one who has never seen it. :sad1:

Oh no. :scared1: It's a classic!

Sorry, requests will not be honored unless they are accompanied by a quote from "Young Frankenstein" :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

Never seen Young Frankenstein. So:

"These clothes dont flatter you at all. It should either be a dress or nothing at all... and I happen to have no dress in my cabin!" - Capt. Jack

Will that suffice for now?

Very nice.

"Clearly you've never been to Singapore"

:yay::yay::yay::yay: YAY....and its all for me!!!:yay::yay::yay:

I don't think so...

Me too! Toiletries are the worst for me!! And they are so heavy. I am trying to go lighter with them...but dang.......I am trying to wheedle through them...

That's why you need an Owner's Locker. :thumbsup2

Oh, where are you going, you men, you are all alike. Seven or eight quick ones and you're out with the boys to boast and brag. YOU BETTER KEEP YOUR MOUTH SHUT. Oh, I think I love him.

One of my favorites! :thumbsup2 I miss Madeline Kahn :sad1:

""What the hell are you doing in the bathroom day and night? Why don't you get out of there and give someone else a chance?"

Ahhh fathers and their wisdom!

:rotfl2:

"Fire is good Fire is our friend"

I know a lot of people love AP, especially because of the show, but we don't care for it either. It's too much like sitting at my Mom's kitchen table back in the 60's (oops, just dated myself!). We already have Palo reservations for one of the AP nights (based on our requested LAP rotation) and we'll be requesting a second Palo dinner for the other AP night.

Exactly! Like eating at a 60s kitchen set. Neat to see the show the first time. But doesnt live up to the disney hype.

If anyone cares to join us for Martini tasting or Wine tasting feel free to send me a message with your room number. We usually sign up after we get on the ship on Saturday, we can drop a note at your room and if it works into your schedule join us!:banana: Or hopefully we will have found you before we board the ship or meet a Promenade Lounge at 3.

Definitely, absolutely, without a doubt NO :sad2:

We love AP! Lol we even requested APL rotation...

Edit: I realized that we have first timers... APL is
A = Animator's Pallete
P = Parrot Cay
L = Lumiere's

We have requested PLA rotation. Does anyone know how likely it is that we will get it? Or is that a 'How long is a piece of string?' question?

Add me to the list of those who have never viewed "Young Frankenstein":eek:

We didn't request a dining rotation, as first timers on DCL, we are just happy to be here :)

Ahhh.... Just 16 more work days for me... makes it sound even better than the 22 days before we head down.

Still plugging along on FE stuff, and costumes, and packing, as I think it will be here before we know it!

And we would be more than willing to share a table with fellow DIS'ers, but we are early seating, and have an 8 year DD and 5 year old DS. If anyone is interested, then maybe we can figure out this linking thing :)

If this means that you are booked on this cruise then WELCOME! :welcome:

Please tell us a little about yourself and who you are traveling with.

Just a note for people talking about dining rotations:

For the Captain's Gala (Sun. night?) and Pirate Night (Tues. night?) the menus are the same in all dining rooms.

:goodvibes Two weeks today is my late day at work for 2 & 1/2 weeks. :goodvibes

Do you have red hair too? My oldest son has red hair and after he was born everyone asked where he got the red hair. My middle son was blond and my youngest son has dark dark hair. We just said it came with his head.

My middle daughter has the red hair!! Her older sister has the dark hair (born blonde)--the younger sister has blonde hair. So like your boys, my girls are like a hair colored rainbow!
And, I get asked the same question as you all the time "where did she get that red hair?"---I just say..."It grows that way". hahaha:laughing: (or I get asked another very rude question--which I won't say here on the board).

But--with that red hair comes the sunburn. darn it. :sad1:

And, I would never let a 12 year old run around a WDW park by themselves (Disneyland...maybe... hahaha...just kidding ;)). But, if they were in a group...like maybe 3 or 4 of them together...which check in times with parents or meet up times with parents/adults every 3 hours, then I would be ok with it. Same with a ship.

But---every parent is different.

We would love to table up with any folks that have/want the early (main) seating and have young kids. We have 4y and 4m. However, we have gotten the late seating and don't know our rotation. We requested main seating and an APL rotation. We shouldn't have any problems switching to the main seating but there are no guarantees... trying to coordinate that + a specific rotation is probably unlikely.

If this means that you are booked on this cruise then WELCOME! :welcome:

Yes, welcome to our DIS group!

For us its all about the experience. We love the 60s diner thing! our DD(4) loves the vests and how things light up...and if she's happy, we're happy! ;)
Lumiere's is nice but we prefer to eat breakfast there every morning.
We don't care for Parrot Cay. Not sure why... we just don't. Tends to be our Palo night :rolleyes:

Yes this is the Cruise I am on and the date that I am sailing.
About myself: I am young guy named Bill, went on a 4 night disney cruise last year and my wife loved it, doing it again this time for 7 nights. I have 4 children but they are not coming, I am leaving them behind again! (smarter than the average bear)
The last trip was like a honeymoon and we liked it so much my wife decided to make it an annual thing. If they ever had a trivia category with Disney as the topic, it would not be fair because my wife is a Disney Guru.
The things I liked best about the cruise last year was,
1. the shows before dinner
2. the food
3. early morning meeting with Oscar
4. 2 bathrooms in our room
5. a day at sea to relax
6. the crew
7. the excursions especially Castaway Cay
8. People we met
9. no kids
10. the experience
...other than that it sucked.

We've gotten the same rude question.

As far as the 12 year old, when I heard the story of someone who wanted to let their child into the park alone so they could do a tour my first thought was are you nuts?:confused3 I was shocked to hear anyone would even consider that.:scared1: Glad to know I'm not the only one whose first thought is no way.

So my DD Cassie just booked today and will be joining us:thumbsup2 It was a solution to our dilemma with the teenagers being on there own on a different floor. So she got the time off work and will be our glorified babysitter! So Becky could you add her to the list of characters please:banana:
