In the beginning of the American Adventure show - Projected on the curtain is an Old World map with several sailing ships heading to the New World. What type of ship leads the way?

I always thought it was cool the way the Imagineers placed the Viking ship in front of the pack. Giving the nod to the fact that the Vikings were probably the first Europeans to step foot in the New World. Of course, I'm a big history buff, so maybe this only appeals to me!
