Just dropped in to say Happy Anniversary!!

I second Bay Lake.

And for the downgraded ride - how about It's a Small World?

I guess make on outlanded guess at Mission to Mars?

RU

West Coast has it's disadvantage - I had 8 pages to read just to catch up. :(

And a soaking wet AAQ card to 1Hour for identifying Bay Lake as the only natural body of water at WDW. It was Bay Lake that caught Walt's eye as he flew over the Florida wilderness looking for a site for his visionary park.

And another AAQ card to marty for seconding. After all, the AAQ cards are flowing like melted whiparitas all day today!!! :)

Gee RU... we are ready for our three Whiparita lunch and you are just getting to breakfast  ;)

Granny.... I'll third Bay Lake :)

:smooth:

Thanks for the wet AAQ Granny!

Where in the world can you find a glockenspiel?

Good Luck!

Good Job Marty!

Here's a cuckoo clock AAQ!

While we are admiring the chimes - let's head into the buffet for lunch!

From reading a bit about the history of this group (happy anniversary all) I have learned the default answer is Horizons...

So - here are a couple Horizon questions:

1. Before it became Horizons, it had 2 names - what were they?

2. From where do we begin our flight?

3. What is our flight number? Why?

4. While in the space section you get to see one of the '1-person' shuttles. In what bay is this shuttle docked?

5. At the end of the ride you get to choose between 3 destinations. What are the names of those destinations and what environment is it?

I have a few others but that is enough to begin with.

RU

Futureprobe was one of the names of Horizons in development and the other one was Century something. The three destinations at the end of the ride were sea, desert or space but I don't remember them having certain names...

RU - Through a little research I found what I needed!

. Before it became Horizons, it had 2 names - what were they?

Century 3 and Futureprobe

2. From where do we begin our flight?

Futureport

3. What is our flight number? Why?

Flight 83. It's the year the ride opened (1983)

4. While in the space section you get to see one of the '1-person' shuttles. In what bay is this shuttle docked?

Bay - 37

5. At the end of the ride you get to choose between 3 destinations. What are the names of those destinations and what environment is it?

Explore the New World. Omega Centauri - Now Open" (Space),

Come Have Sun With Us. Mesa Verde" (Desert)

Ride Our 'Subway.' Sea Castle Resort" (Undersea)

How'd I do???

Tink85 - you got Futurama and most of Century 3

1houraway - A tomorrow child 5 AAQ card for absolutely dominating this question.

Here is another one:

At the world showcase, how many of the flags of the 11 pavilions contain the color blue?

RU

How bad does it suck that my DSL went down for 3 hours??!!

I'll guess all 11 RU, tho I have no idea.

Four of the world showcase countries have blue in their flags: Norway, US, France and UK.

Lovely day for a party.

I hate to show up late for a party, but I've been running around doing last minute hurricane prep. The local schools are shelters, so school has already been cancelled for today, tomorrow, and Friday. The sun is shining and the kids are now playing in the yard. It is a very strange day. MCMom, thanks for the offer. I'll let you know if we run out of chocolate. The batteries and water we can live without!

I'll guess 8 on the flags, but it is really just a guess.

Oh and one more thing ....
Happy Anniversary Parks Game!!!!

Are you guys giving up on my picture question so easily? And here I thought it was a gimme. Had I not cropped out the right side of the picture, it would have been a gimme for sure.

Well, we have 3 guesses so far:
11
4
8

And unfortuantely they are all incorrect.

RU

I suppose if you want to get really picky there is probably a thread or two of blue in the insignia on the flag of Mexico, making 5 total.

And about that photo a couple of pages back, it is JIYI?

And a saluting AAQ card for CoasterAddict who added Mexico to his list.

Norway
US
France
UK
Mexico
