Well, it seems that we had this Swiss Family ship question before. And I believe the name of the ship was the "Swallow".

Nice to see you back, Higgsy! :)

Okay, I knew there was a discrepancy with the name of the shipwreck in Swiss Family Robinson (Treehouse.) Before I get to that I want to give half of an AAQ to Mickeybabe for answering the first part of the 'to-do' list question, and the other half to MouseClubMom for the second part. Maybe ya'll can get together and ask a joint question!
Now I think the confusion with the ship name comes from the fact that the name Titus comes from the Swiss Family Robinson book and/or movie, and the name Swallow was used for WDW's (and DL's) Swiss Family Treehouse attraction. To add to the confusion, for a long time the DL sign had the ship name as the Recovery!
Did any of that make sense? ;)

I would be honored to share an AAQ with MBabe. We make a great team (she brings the Whiparita, I bring the churros!). LOL

Any questions out there right now?

MCMom

James...yes, we had a bit of a tussle last time we had the Swiss Family Robinson boat name last year. That's why I posted the picture! :) And your explanation made perfect sense...though I can't imagine why they didn't just stick with the Titus name from the book!

In any event, it's time for another animal question! So....

In which current WDW attractions will you find a dog?

In which current WDW attractions will you find a dog?

Let's see...

Pirates of the Carribean
Honey I Shrunk the Audience
Carousel of Progress
Peter Pan's Flight
Spacehship Earth

And I think there might be a dog in the movie for Carnium Command (in the kitchen when he runs out without breaksfast? Or am i imagining things on a Monday morning?

I'm sure i missed more...

P.S. Sorry about asking the same question again... my bad. :p

:sunny: Good Morning PG Players :sunny:

Ace, no big deal, it helps to see if we are paying attention ;) :p

Granny... the Haunted Mansion and Mickey's house (Pluto must live there too ;) ) and Goofy's Barnstormer (He is a dog isn't he? )

:smooth:

I brought tons of caffine disguised as our morning beverages... Drink up! :p

D'Oh!!!!

How could I miss the HM and Barnstormer!!!

"Gimme a triple espresso with 30 sugars!! I need to wake up!!!

Oops....I meant to say attractions with dogs except Goofy or Pluto....but because I didn't, I'll accept all those.

And I don't know about a dog in Cranium Command...can anyone second that one?

And I didn't remember the dog in SSE, but I'll bet it's there!

Ace...we get a lot of repeat questions here since this thread is nearly two years old! It's no problem at all!! :)

Correct dog answers thus far:

Pirates of the Carribean (Ace)
Honey I Shrunk the Audience (Ace)
Carousel of Progress (Ace)
Peter Pan's Flight (Ace)
Spaceship Earth (Ace)
Goofy's Barnstormer (MBabe)
Mickey's House (MBabe)
Haunted Mansion (MBabe)

I've got at least 4 more, and I'll bet there are more than that!

Okay, I've been thinking about it, and I'm invoking the sacred rule of "My Question, My Answer"!! :smooth:

My guess is that there could be a dog in any number of scenes in all the movies at WDW. So as far as movies, unless the dog is prominently featured, they don't count.

I mean, there might be a dog on one of the docks in the background of the Norway movie....but no dice for this question! Any two (other than a cameo in a movie) or three dimensional dogs found in attractions would be fine though!

In the great movie ride Toto is seen with dorothy in that Wizard of oz scene.
The lady and the tramp clay figures in the animation tour.
HISTA has the dog in it when you are shrunk
living with the land at the farm house.
muppets has the dog that plays the piano(cant remember his name)
all i can think of at the moment.

There's a dog in MuppetVision 3-D - Rowlf.

Youcould call Miss Piggy a dog, but that's in a different context :)

Also, Toto in GMR.

Very good, you guys have found some more of the ones I thought of. I'm going to give Carpe the Muppetvision one, though Sandy did provide the name and gets an assist! :p

Dogs so far!
Pirates of the Carribean (Ace)
Honey I Shrunk the Audience (Ace)
Carousel of Progress (Ace)
Peter Pan's Flight (Ace)
Spaceship Earth (Ace)
Goofy's Barnstormer (MBabe)
Mickey's House (MBabe)
Haunted Mansion (MBabe)
Great Movie Ride- Toto (Carpe Disney)
Muppetvision 3D - Rowlf (Carpe D with assist from gometros)
Animation Tour (Carpe Disney)
Living with the Land (Carpe Disney)

And Sandy...I'd never call Miss Piggy a dog! She'd tear me apart!!

Gee....I hope the dogs didn't chase everyone off!!! Come on folks, I've thought up 7 more attractions where you can find dogs!

Can I give a nod to our favorite past attraction here and say there was a dog in HORIZONS??

Okay back to the serious list:

Space Mountain (in the post show)
WDW Railroad (cant you see dogs in the Indian scenes?)
Small World
Voyage of the Little Mermaid (Max)

That's all I can think of for now!

Good question, Granny!

MCMom

There's a dog in the country store scene at The American Adventure in Epcot.

Hi all.

Wow!! KSDave!!! Great to see you back here, old friend! :) And of course, you identified another one of the dogs at WDW!!

Distriv...yes, robo dogs count here so Space Mtn is correct.

MCMom...we can give the nod to Horizons, but I didn't want to get into the past attractions, so we'll just observe this moment of silence and move on.

And I was trying to remember if there is a dog in the Indian scenes on the WDW Train...can anyone confirm??

Also, I wracked my pea brain to remember a dog in IASW....where is it?

And Max is correct in the VOTLM.

I was going to say IASW and Rio Del tiempo, just becauase with all those audio animotronics, there had to be a dog in there somwhere. But I couldn't swear by it.

There is a dog at IASW by the little boy holding a boomerang in the Mexican (Southwesterrn) theme.

No clue about Rio del Tiempo...

Ah the nod to Horizons... Sniff Sniff Think I'll head over to Digital Disney and listen to the ride audio now....

How many more dogs, Granny??

MCMom

Granny.... BTMRR,.....A Robot Dog target in Buzz Lightyear's SRS and Slinky dog at Pizza Planet

:p
