I think FedEx took over sometime in 1992 or 1993....

As for the characters from the RCA past show...I think it's the little kid (Billy?) and his dog...they can be seen in the background of one of the outer space scenes...

Or...maybe it's the "robot" with the video camera at the end (I think that's still there...if I remember right...that is the same kid who pointed the camera at you in the RCA show...they just took the "skin" off...ewwwww

When WDW opened there were two resorts, Poly and Contemporary. The map in my souvenir book shows three additional resorts that have not been built--what are they?

CA is one of them the Mediterraen Resort?

Ben there is long and technical explanation that has to do with routers and IP addresses. It takes about 48 hours for all of the servers find the new location.
