Why did Epcot move its entrance 300 feet from the original plans?

I'm thinking it had something to do with the monorail...like there was a mixup in the placement of the track or the station so they had to adjust the entrance. Okay I probably just made that up but it sounds good!

Oooh! The parking lot was moved because of an endangered species of WOODPECKER. Supposedly they had to move the whole entrance and parking lots because of these birdies. Once construction began the noise was too much and the woodpeckers relocated on their own! They ended up building a parking lot in this area which the CMs call the "woodpecker" lot.

Okay the other dark ride.... Is it an Alice in Wonderland ride?
