Is it the Grand Prix Raceway?

I have passed through the gate and am with my mate off to the past I go. I jump and gigle and take with me a "friend" as I am told to come back again. Where in the "World" am I?.......

:p
Hmmm…since I haven’t left yet…let me try to tackle this one…It sounds to me MBabe that you are in the Haunted Mansion :)
If I am right…please give the AAQ to someone else…not sure if I’ll be able to ask another question before I leave…

It is indeed the Grand Prix Raceway! AAQ card and complimentary beverage to you, lacool.

Then I will post a question while enjoying my complementary beverage. Hey what's in this thing?
What is the significance of the brown walkway in Liberty Square?

Higgs... yes I am in the Haunted Mansion :p

AAQ card to you Higgs... if you are still here .... otherwise I'll just toss this AAQ card in the air and see who catches it :p

:smooth:

MBabe...I'm not catching that AAQ of Higgs.....give it to someone who knows how to ask questions!! :p

BrownFamily.....I do remember you playing the Parks Game long ago.....but when I saw your total number of posts I figured I must be thinking of a different DIS user. Welcome back!!!:)

Leigh Ann...is the brown walkway symbolic of the road that Paul Revere rode his horse on his famous ride? (Pure guess!) :p

Well gee Granny... if you don't want it, volley it over to someone who needs it :p..... I have plenty of my own

Great guess Granny :)

Leigh Ann.... I'll guess the brown walkway signifies the Road less travelled? (My guess isn't as good as Granny's :p )

:smooth:

Whacking the AAQ card back into the air, while tripping over her stack of AAQs

Good guesses MBabe and Granny, but, unfortunately, not correct.

Leigh Ann.... Okay... Freedom Road? or a dirt path? So my guesses are getting weaker ... maybe I'll have a Whiparita, after all.... Sun... yardarm ;)....

:smooth:

Leigh Ann....doesn't the brown walkway represent the open sewers next to the streets in colonial America? Seems to me I read something like that....but for some reason I thought it was in Frontierland.

Would you believe your guesses are getting better? Not there yet, but you are on your way.

MBabe beat me to the dirt road guess, so I'll say the Imagineers ran out of other, brightly colored paint and brown was all they had left. :p

yensid considers snagging the AAQ card, but realizes... to ask a question, one must *have* a question to ask.

Higgs, not sure if you'll see this before you leave, but have a great time in Vegas! I've heard Harrah's has decent payouts on slots & video poker! :teeth:

That is the right answer, now I'll have to go do research and make sure I asked the right question!

Your question was correct Leigh Ann. When I took the Keys to the Kingdom tour our tour guide Carol (who was awesome!) told us abou that. It starts out as a really thin pebble path but as it winds through Liberty Square it gets wider and wider (as it would as it flowed through the town collecting sewage) and it ends at the wooden bridge that signifies the Mississippi River (and the change over to Frontierland) as if it is dumping into the Mississippi.

Leigh Ann....hey, don't go researching the question if I got the answer right!!! :p :p :p

To keep things rolling:

What year did the character restaurant in Cinderella's castle change it's name? The current name is Cinderella's Royal Table. What was the former name?

The former name is King Stefan's Banquet Hall. I never understood how a Sleeping Beauty character got into Cinderella's castle.... Not totally sure on when the change took place, but I'll guess 1999.

Sewers? Ewwwwww... Any alligators in there? :p

MBabe smacks the AAQ card back over to Jay..... Hey Jay... maybe if I take you on an extended ride on BTMRR you'll find a question :p

Okay people... here are your earplugs... MBabe tosses packets of earplugs to all the PG Players...

As you leave IASW.... you see signs saying "Good Bye" in how many languages?

:p

Jay....you have the correct former name, so here's an AAQ card (actually two....Higgs' card seems to be stuck to yours!) :)

Still need that year they switched the name. Not 1999.

(I think the original thinking was to put all the "classic princesses" together...hence Cindy's Castle, Sleeping Beauty's Dad's Banquet, and Snow White's Scary Adventures were all together in the castle. Or I could be making that up....sometimes memory can be a tricky thing!):p
