Parks Game: Part 10! How Perfect is That!!!

Hey - before you get me in trouble with the siblings

- I am in the comp lab right now - With books and notes in hand - I just also happen to be in front of a computer too - ;) so I can respond and study... ;)

I shall do good on this exam -

with a little bit of pixie dust of course!:teeth:

I KNOW THIS ONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
:Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc
its RAFIKI!!!!!!! we love that parade.... but if you want to be very specific you first hear mickey saying "mickey mouse to animal kingdom, come in animal kingdom" and you hear elephants and birds in the background, and then Rafiki says "hello everybody are you ready to party?!?!" we listen to that parade and the snowglobe parade all the time...
"so sing it out... and bark and growl and screech and roar, and dance along and jump and stomp and leap and soar and join the adventure the parties begun we're dancing in the jungle to the rhythm of one!!"~mickey's jamming jungle parade

ok-- beth still hasnt fixed my comuper... Melissa had that amazing answer-- not beth (who should be studying!!)

Beth Beth Beth Beth Beth.......

Turk is actually a SHE, not a HE....sorry, strike two. Don't bother to remember that right now, I'm pretty sure it won't be on the Algebra final.

I just looked down and saw your third guess....it's a home run! Rafiki and Mickey do introduce Mickey's Jammin' Jungle Parade

Congrats on the clean sweep, I hope your final goes as well.

a Jamin' Dreamy Spectro AAQ card goes to Beth.

:earsboy:

wait a minute! Who's Melissa? Who am I talking to here?!? No cheating Beth!!!!:teeth:

Okay, AAQ cards to Beth AND Melissa

As much as I would like to take credit for that third guess - it was actually Melissa who got it right -

Melissa - check your PM's - I sent you one on how to change it back to your name...

Hey CC people - including all siblings listening - I am studying! and I will get a good grade on this exam! -- well at least a C ;)

Sorry on offending Turk - I think I knew that - isnt Turk's voice Rosie? okay - off to really take the exam!

Okay so honest to God - I think I got an A on my Math exam -- thanks for the advice ADaddy -- the FOIL actually came in handy...

So since I am so excited I thought I would celebrate with a question!

woo hoo!
:hyper:

How tall is the tallest ride in WDW? Bonus if you can explain why it is that height!

Bye now!

Off to celebrate with food!

btw - I realize now that Melissa will not be able to get her PM - because she cant get on her name - Please forgive me - I was having a stupid moment!

Beth I'm glad the FOIL thing helped.

The tallest ride at WDW is the TOT. It is just under the height that would require an air traffic alert light on top of it which explains why it's that tall.

......in all fairness, I think I've answered this question twice before on the boards, but I still like answering it!.......Cinderella's castle is close to the same height.

:earsboy:

If you're looking for a number, I believe the height is 199'

And, for a bit of pro forma trivia (in the future), Expedition Everest is supposed to end up being 199' tall....making this question a tie. And also making it the tallest "WDW Mountain".

Guess I'll just sit here in the Chalk Circle for a couple of years before I can toss that one out there! :p

I thought I was pretty good at algebra, but I don't know what that FOIL thing means regarding alggebra.

Good morning Granny!

Expedition Everest? I really need to catch up on WDW's future plans.

....btw; the FOIL method as I understand it is as follows:

In an equation (a * b) * (c * d) = X X can be solved for by multiplying a*c + a*d + b*c + b*d. The product will equal "X". The formula is taught as the FOIL method and is explained as First - Outer - Inner - Last, where the first numbers in each of the sets of parentheses are multiplied followed by the outer, the inner, and the last, and their products are summed to equal "X".

And so comes to an end the non-Disney specific lesson for the day, I'm headed over to Disney Studios for less cerebral activities.....race you to the RnR!:teeth:

:earsboy:

Just made 4 runs on RnR and now I've got to go for a while to do some Christmas shopping, but before I go I think I'll throw out another wiffle ball while we wait for Beth to get back or Melissa to ask a question.

Anyway, here's the wiffle ball:

In 1999 SSE got a gloved Mickey hand and wand; how many fingers are on the hand and what position are they in?

I'll check back later.

:earsboy:

Great job -

The tallest ride in WDW is Tower of Terror - it is 199 feet - not 200 - because then they would have to put ugly blinking lights on it - and you know Disney would never do something like that!

So here are some "Stomach in your throught" AAQ cards to ADaddy and Gometros for the details - and heck - while I am in a giving mood - here is one for Granny for giving a future ride ;)

:sunny:

Adaddy - how nice to just hop over to Disney...

I think I will hop over to Build a Bear in a few hours! Yeah!!

Oh wait. thats where I work... :(

ADaddy - If I recall correctly, Mickey's hand is holding a wand with his pinkie finger slightly extended. Origonally it also has 2000 but now it says Epcot.

Edit - I just read all of you question, (should have done that in the first place) Mickey only has 3 fingers and a thumb.

I think I will second my brother on that one... yeah... sure ... why not...

:p

And I will third that answer!

Holy cow, ADaddy...that was quite an illuminating algebra lesson!! I'll tuck that one away until the right moment to surprise my daughter with my new found knowledge!

They wanted to put a very unique and orate topping on ToT, but couldn't.

It would be over 200 feet, must have the warning light, and ruin the feel.

But a question.

Isn't Disney a no fly zone anyway? Why would it need a red light? Just because thats the law and it must happen?

That would be a question for Todd...

He is a pilot and will be quite excited when he gets to explain all that stuff...

Off to stuff some bears... My store is right next to the Disney store - so whenever people walk by with there Disney bags I am always like "ooh... what did you get..." It is sad.

To keep my post ligit I will use one of my AAQ's

It is easy but I can not check back until this evening.

What was the prodominant color on the 25th anniversary castle decorations?

Not many people liked it - but I did ;)

I second Walts Assistant -- Pink -- and I also second the EEEEK!!! and add a TACKY to that.

:)

Technically the airspace over The World isn't a no fly zone. In the time following the terrorist attacks the FAA limited air traffic over large assemblies of people. Obviously that included Disney as well as football games and other big events. As you can imagine, this created guite a headache for the FAA. Now a restriction can be received on a case by case basis. I don't believe taht Disney has one, but the World isn't on any normal approach or departure path for MCO. (Don't you find it funny that the letters for Orlando stand for Mickey and Co., I know, it really is for McCoy Field. ;)) You used to see the banner planes for Church St. Station circling all the time. I guess they don't do that anymore since CSS has gone down hill.

As far as the obsticale lights are concerned, they have to be on any tall (I guess 200 foot) object. The FAA requires it. And unfortunately there isn't any way to make them look ornate.

Gotta keep the post legit...

I'll third the pink comments!:Pinkbounc

Thanks Beth, I do still enjoy talking aviation. Only 5 more days till I get to see the recreation of the first flight, live at Kitty Hawk! I can't wait!!!!!
