Parks closing during Christmas week?

Does anyone know for sure what the policy is for Disney parks closing their gates during the day due to max capacity? Will I be able to get into a closed park if I am hopping from another park that same day? We will be staying at CSR and have already signed up for 7 day park passes with the hopper option. We plan to do a substantial amount of hopping during our 7 day stay. Please advise! Thanks :confused3

That sounds hopeful, "Mom", but is there anyone out there that knows for sure. or has been in such a situation where you as a resort guest were let in while other non-guests were not? Knowing for sure would really ease my mind. Thanks so much! :)

There are levels to who gets shut out...someone correct my mistakes please.

Phase One
Day Guests who have not already purchased tickets and Cast Members using their Maingate & Silver Passes will be turned around at the Auto Plaza.

Phase Two
Currently, admission is limited to Resort Guests, Premium and Annual Passholders, crossovers and other Guests re-entering one of the Parks that day. Guests using WDW Resort Transportation and Guests in taxis will be admitted.

Phase Three
The theme park is only open to Resort Guests using Disney transportation from their Resort or other theme parks or Annual and Premium Passholders. Shades of Green and Downtown Disney Resort Area Guests using their respective transportation will also be admitted.

Phase Four
Closed to all Guests not already IN the park.

Just a note it is typically MK that is closed first...when we were there Christmas before last MK was closed at least for some period of time to all guests almost everyday. It usually happened about 12pm....

When we were there for Christmas 2003/04 we saw MK and AK closed at some points, usually around noon, each day. We tried to get there early, do what we could, go back for lunch-naps-pool, and head back out around 7 or so. Several nights we stayed until midnight, the kids loved it and it was walk on for most everything after the 10:00 parade! :wizard: Be prepared to not be able to do it all and you will have a great time. :flower:

Thank you! Armed with this information we will better know how to plan our days. We always get to the parks for EMHs and ride the top attractions before the rest of the world arrives! We'll do the same thing, and perhaps return for evening activities. Our two sons, 13 and 15 are certainly old enough to enjoy themselves without crashing by 8:00 pm...so we'll take advantage of the later hours. Thanks!!
