I have been doing some number crunching and it looks like the self park rates (with internet coupon) is cheaper than the airport taxi home. In the past I have got a ride to the airport by my brother or friend and found my own way home. How reliable are their shuttles to and from the airport. The web site states to allow 20 25 minutes for transfer to the airport.
Has any one parked here. Are there any other long term parking companies in the area?

We tried using the Economy Lot when we flew out west back in July, only to find it was filled. We ended up parking in the self-park lot ($45/week with coupon) and had a wait of less than 15 minutes until the shuttle arrived. It took another 10-15 minutes to get to the terminal.

The return flight was another story. We waited almost 30 minutes for the shuttle once we'd retreived our luggage - but once we were on the bus we were the first stop at the parking lot. Of course, we then had the 2 hr drive home to London.

Would we do it again? Yup. It was the most economical way for us to get a family of 4 to Pearson.

I've parked there and had a mixed experiences.

Last time was this spring. We waited probably 30 to 45 minutes for a shuttle to pick us up from the stop near where we parked our car. Several buses came through the lot but they were dropping off and not picking up. I kept buzzing the intercom at the stop to send a bus to pick us up. The attendent eventually began ignoring me. I also tried to get one of the buses passing through to dispatch a bus to pick us up with no apparent success.

We were flying to the U.K. on an 8 pm Sunday flight and I think the explanation is that a lot of flights come in on Sunday evening. We were intending to go to the Maple Leaf Lounge to relax before our flight but did not have time to do so because of the delay standing outside in the freezing wind (yes, we were dressed as if we were going to be on a plane...not standing outside).

So, just make sure that you don't go by their recommended 20 minute shuttle time.

we used it in July for a 6 am flight to Hawaii and caught the shuttle at 3 am and only waited about 5 minutes. Pickup was good too, only waited about 10 minutes. Like MikeJ said its the most economical way to do it for a family of four.
