can anybody tell me how much it costs to park at the various theme parks if we are staying at BC. how does the parking work.

If you are staying at a resort, or are an annual pass holder, parking is free. They will give you a tag to place in your car. You can come and go from the parks and the resorts, though you're only guaranteed parking at your resort, if by chance another resort is packed they might not let you park there... just forewarning, though it rarely happens.

Other guests pay $8 =)

If you are staying at one of the on site hotels (like the BC), there is no charge for parking at the theme parks. You will get a parking pass/permit for your car when you check in.

I could be wrong, but I *think* if you're staying on site you do not have to pay to park in the park lots. If I'm wrong I think it's $8. There is a big lot for each park, that is serviced by trams that will take you to the front entrance of the park. At the MK, the tram takes you to the Transportation and Ticket Center, where you get on either a ferry or a monorail to the actual park.
