Not sure if this would go under "Theme Parks" or "Transportation".. thought I would try here first!

We'll be staying offsite and was wondering about parking at the parks.

From what I can tell it is 7.00

Is that per park? or can you move during the day to another park for the same 7.00 ...

also - if you come back to the same parking lot is that another 7.00 or can you get a "re-enter" ticket for parking?

Thanks!!!

Once you pay for parking, it is good for the remainder of the day at all of the parks...just make sure you keep the parking pass they give you!

That is certainly what I wanted to hear! We had wanted to stay onsite - but so far we can do much better off site..

I'm keeping an eye out for codes tho' ... laugh

Since you mentioned codes, I'm assuming you've already checked out mousesavers.com, but just in case you haven't that is a great site to visit.

I check it a couple times a day.... ::yes::

I've got a reservation at HIFS right now... there's 4 of us - and our sons are big guys - so the suite w/2 twins works well for us..

BUT they're in agreement if I can find something at a moderate or above for what we're paying now then onsite would be better..

Tho' a double bed for the 2 of them is pretty tight...

I'm about to stay off site for the first time. My SO's mom could not use her time share this year and so she let us take it. So we will be staying at High Point, and drive to the parks every day. I am looking forward to the extra space. Also, I kind of think driving will be fun; no waiting for busses :)

The past couple years, we've stayed at the Sheraton Vistana, which is fairly close to DTD. We bought a week in a 2BR condo from someone who owned the timeshare but couldn't use it. The first year, we bought from a friend, the second year we bought from someone who had placed a classified ad on the timeshare user's group website. I think we paid around $800 for the week last year. It is a very nice resort (7 different pools and lots of activities) and we were able to get to all of the parks door-to-door in less than a half hour (most of the time around 15 mins.). This May, we're staying on-site for the first time since I was a kid and we're really excited about it. Basically the same room (at BWV) for over twice the cost, but we really want the experience of staying on the property.

I have to admit - I was disappointed when I realized we probably couldn't stay onsite... We never have and I REALLY want to..

BUT - as I was perusing the boards - and was just able to knock 200.00 off my 5 nights at HIFS... got a rate of 89.00! VERY cool - certainly made my husband happy!! But somehow I don't think I'm going to get onsite for that rate... well maybe at the Value resorts... but we just don't fit in those rooms....

laugh...:earseek:

with the money you saved on the room buy ap's and come back one year later less a week and get 2 vacations out of one...The free parking was worth it.

If the amount of the $7 a day times the amount of days you are going to the parks is the smae or greater savings to upgrading your pass to an AP...DO it and save 10% at World of Disney on souvies with an AP!!!:hyper:
