Parking

How difficult is it to park at the parks? I'm looking at changing my hotel, and if I do, I will just have to drive myself to the park, instead of a shuttle..

It depends on when you're going...sometimes parking can be really easy, other times it can be difficult/time consuming. DLR has several lots and depending on when you're arriving and from which direction, you might end up at the structure or the surface lots. It's hard to know in advance how parking will be when you are there.

Parking at DLR at park opening is one of the most annoying parts. If you are getting there at park opening, make sure you are coming on the 5 from the north and take the lanes all the way on the left that are "express" lanes to the Mickey and Friends structure. This is the least likely to be rerouted (although I have seen it). If you try to take the lanes after the Ball Rd. intersection it is much more likely to be closed off. Then they will route you to Toy Story, or you might be able to go to the lot by Paradise Pier (Simba?).

I'd recommend Mickey and Friends for full-day Disneyland.
Certain times obviously packing. Extra early or later works well.
Parking lots open 60-90minutes before park open.
