Parking with AP and 2 cars

I have the preferred AP and it comes with free parking. I have friends coming down in December and we're planning to go to Universal for a day while they're down here. We'll be arriving at the park in 2 cars (unless they decide to rent a vehicle that fits 7). If I tell the parking attendant that the 2nd car is with us, will they give them free parking too or are they out of luck? Thanks!

I always thought of trying this, you going to park your car with your AP while the second vehicle heads down to Guest Drop off area (which can basically be used as a guest pick up area also) and just waits there for you to come down the stairs. Once you get in their car, try using the AP again with a different person and see if it works (now I don't know if it logs when you last used your AP so it might look fishy if the computer says you just used it 15 minutes ago to park)

My Mom wanted to come to the park one day in a separate car from my family and I (I'm the one with the AP), but we called ahead of time and they said it was only for one car.

Whats to stop the AP holder from saying heyJoe, Im not going so here, you take my AP and park free. With all due respect, I personally think that Universal and Disney should make the parking attendants check ID of the AP holder.

I know Universal does check ID's with the Annual Passes (not sure about Disney).

Mine is about five years old and issued when the Preferred were still plastic. I thought the Premier AP had your picture on it.

yours is 5 years old? expired? mines the el-cheapo like disneys now.

I showed my ID with my annual pass the first time I used it for parking, but the second time I didn't and they didn't ask for it.

That's odd. I thought Premier Passes are suppose to have a photo?

Nowadays, every annual pass is just the cheap paper ticket. That's why people hold onto their plastics.

has anyone tried this?

I don't see why it wouldn't work. Not saying it's RIGHT, but it should work. There's no way they can prove you didn't leave and come back in (Short of pulling video logs....but I mean reallly? :teacher: LOL).

We have gone through the gates (Had ID checked and everyhting...) and realized we forgot something at the hotel. We were back within 15 minutes and went through again just fine.

I'll probably get flamed for saying this:rolleyes1, but when we go with Parents, we plan on letting Dad use Hubby's AP to park. (They have the same name) DH and I both have APs. 2 APs = 2 Carloads of people. It's completely legit if I ride in with them. I just want to ride in with hubby and kids though, so Hubby's AP will be arriving via a different vehicle. :rotfl:

Absolutely--they have checked everytime we visit. When we have 2 cars, my DH and I ride separately since we are both AP holders. And yes, they will check your pass because they actually scan your ticket to get a printed receipt.
