Parking while staying at Contemporary?

We are staying at the Contemporary at the end of the month. We'll be taking a taxi from the airport, and then the next day, my sister is arriving with a car she's lending us for the rest of the trip.

Do I get a parking pass when I check in? How does that typically work? I have not been to Disney since the "pre-wristband" days

If checkin is at 3pm, but if we arrive in the morning when the park opens, can we receive a parking pass then or do we need to wait until after 3pm?

I was thinking may be easiest to park at Contemporary at beginning of day so the car is already there and we can walk to/from MK, rather than moving it from the MK parking to the hotel lot when we are done with the park/ready to checkin...

You can check in as early as 6am and start using the resort amenities as soon as you check in. Yes, you will also get your parking pass when you check in no matter what time it is.

I'm confused..you said you are checking into the CR a day before your sister arrives with the car. When you get to the resort and get checked in, you can get the parking permit then. When your sister arrives the next day, she will just say that she is visiting you and they will wave her in. Then, you can go down and put the parking permit on the car.
